This is like my dream game. I need more Animal Crossing/Star Dew Valley/The Sims games, and this is that and also seems to be an MMO?

Did some more retro PC gaming.
Duke 1 & 2 are pretty bad to play today. And the awful scrolling of the first one hurts my head. Not to talk about the ear-scratching music.
Every time I play a really old game and am left disillusioned, I'm reminded of the Stallion user who said stuff like that years ago. He was right. Only a few very old games are gems.

Anyhow, Delta Force Extreme was kinda fun though. The second wanted me to create an online account with a key, and since I'm famsharing I bailed.
But the first played nice, however. Again, the simplicity of shooting works in its favor. I could see myself enjoying it even fully if it wasn't for technical issues hampering the fun.

Joint Operations is the last Novalogic game I tried but also the least fun I had. Think the gameplay just lost the simple rules of its predecessors, and again, weapons are way less powerful and have awful recoil/camera shake. Sometimes less is more.
At least technically it felt like the best somehow huge jump with up to full hd resolution and easy 16:9 support.
Still, it was the least fun by far.

Think I'll continue scratching off retro PC games one by one with retro benders like this. It's kind of fun. So far, nothing old really grabbed me though.

I don't really see why it's inherently a bad thing to not have all the summer gaming news events concentrated in one week, tbh

Agreed, but at the same time there is some value in having it delivered all at once, shotgun-style. Last year things got so stretched out that after the usual E3 week ended I basically zoned out on the whole thing and stopped paying attention to any of it.

I wouldn't really call last year a "mess" but ideally you want people to be paying attention to what you're announcing. So many games I've seen mentioned over the last year and assumed they were new announcements until I realized they were announced last summer and I just forgot about them or missed them entirely lol.

Oh this seems neat. Eagle Island got a free expansion called Eagle Island Twist. It features 45 hand crafted stages that pay homage to older titles. Reactions seem very positive so far:

Thanks for the heads up mate.

A message from the devs (apetribegames) again:

Hi everyone, thanks for all the continued feedback. Just to clarify, it's entirely up to Steam whether or not they grant requests for large volumes of Steam keys. In this case, they chose not to. Believe me, we would give you all Steam keys if we could and we're as frustrated as you are about this situation. We want everyone to be able to play Disjunction on the platform of their choice, and we're sorry that we're unable to provide that.

Please keep in mind that the GOG version of Disjunction is DRM-free, which means that you do not need the GOG launcher to install or launch the game, and you can add it to your Steam library as a non-Steam game. If you click on Disjunction in your online GOG library and then click on DOWNLOAD OFFLINE BACKUP GAME INSTALLERS, you can download and install the game as a standalone .exe and then add it to your Steam Library. We understand that this isn't the same as providing Steam keys, but we hope it will help some of you to enjoy the game.

Thank you for your understanding.

This is so fascinating. Because this is the first time Ive heard Valve reject key sto be provided for a game in a bundle despite the hundreds of different bundles of different stores over the years.

A message from the devs (apetribegames) again:

I don't blame the devs of Disjunction at all for this. It's why they signed with a publisher so the business side of things can get taken care of for them. However, I just cannot see Valve deny a key request from a third party publisher if it's for something widely known like IGN's Humble Bundle bundles. Perhaps there was miscommunication between the two or something else not being told.

In the end, I just blame incompetence on this one and until things surface, we won't know on who.

actual_norwegian_guy As long as it's resting on some form of vibration mount like foam and it's secured down so it doesn't jiggle about if you knock the case you should be okay for a while. I'm not going to say "You'll be fine forever!" in case it breaks next week and you blame me :D

I've had HDDs dangling in cases before and i give even less of a crap about SSDs as they have no moving parts.
thanks, i was worried but after getting it to work and all, it all seems fine and dandy

Reminder that Cage was sued by Ellen Page for making a naked 3d model without permission and allegedly for acquiring photos of her as a kid (then Sony covered his ass)

Hey, sorry I haven't been around today, busy day, you know? but well quite a few things.

1 - I don't think the R&C pc port post is correct, I don't feel like that one is coming in this slate or at least not in the first wave.

2 - E3 is not exciting me at all, IDK.

3 - you are all awesome :cat-heart-blob:

also message to the guys who responded to me about how boneworks is stupid and how Natural Locomotion is good for it

tried it, i dunno if it's their fault, my fault or nintendo's fault (i mean it's honestly nintendo's fault) for some bad tracking, i used the joycons, which was not only a hell in itself to connect, it was also a bad tracking experience
albeit it was not too bad, and it worked for some time to some degree

i wont be using the app again, but i won't refund it because it could and most likely works better for other people

Also!

This amazing game just got 7 new DLC's & and a major update (It's a small indie dev, I think it's one guy making it)
They're only .99 each for new classes and stuff so it's pretty cool. Also the soundtrack is awesome.

sidscrolelr shooter with Orkz! by Guns , Gore and Canoli devs

You are awesome too Mor.

The only rule of E3 is that if you value your time on this Earth. never watch EA and/or Ubisoft's conferences.

Ehhhh, yeah but kinda no. For me, the Ubisoft conferences are usually worth having on in the background purely for the WTF moments they always have. Like the Dancing Panda Parade and Flute Guy last year or the year before, i dunno, time is meaningless at the moment. Ubisoft is generally yawn but they have a few "Who TF signed off on this?! ... and can i get some of what they were vaping, please?"

It doesn't beat Konami 2010 but i don't think anything will.

edit: Panda and Flute Guy were 2018 apparently, wow.

EA conference is ok in the background, Ubisoft I simply can't listen to it, the amount of cringe causes me physical pain.
