Same as why every developer has decided to make a tycoon game. The sucess of the citybuilders and tycoon in the 2014 awoke some devs into its viability, which caused a first wave of new games featuring more innovative citybuilders / tycoons (instead of just pure nostalgic style games) in 2016-2018, which then created a continuous golden era as sales continue to be quite good and developers are able to create their more unique ideas.why did every developer suddenly decide "lets make a fucking city builder" all of a sudden
jesus christ
Also a reverse city builder would be destroying it
fyi, this apparently has a demo coming next week as part of the Steam Next Festival, looking forward to trying it outMore Sable.
Why has no one ever attempted this before? It's genius! From the developer of Broforce.
You couldn't even be arsed to name the demi-fiend 'Deez Nuts'?
Not huge on trad. city builders like SimCity or Skylines, but when you start throwing Logistics, Tycoon & Colony Management into the mix, that s**t's my jam.Same as why every developer has decided to make a tycoon game. Teardown is a reverse city builderShould be called nature reclaimer or something like that instead of reverse city builder.
At least based on the trailer.
And a message from Valve regarding Steam Next Fest
Rimworld is more of a God Game than a city builder, as you can only really slighly influence the NPCs to do what you want. I think the name for the specific branc is Colony Sims nowadays after Dwarf Fortress CLones went off?Not huge on trad. city builders like SimCity or Skylines, but when you start throwing Logistics, Tycoon & Colony Management into the mix, that s**t's my jam.
Simply can't get enough RimWorld, Factorio, Transport Fever, Two Point Hospital and the dozens of other similar titles in that school.
Easily one of my all-time favorite "genres" of the past number of years.
Teardown is a reverse city builder
Please elaborateAs is Dysmantle. My current GOTY.
We need a blast Corps remake!Teardown is a reverse city builder

oh wow haha i didn't know this much pain existed in just some simple wordsThe PC Gaming Show page update:
I guess they really hate the Life of Black Tiger meme.Okay so YosP (he is in charge of Indies on PlayStation) is really into indie games and had done multiple projects and stuff to help them over the years.
Remember that one tweet about the PS Indie store only having well known indie games? I'm guessing that has a lot more to do with the PS structure then it does with YosP and indie games. I read this one Japanese Interview he did last month and a lot of what he said lines up with what Indie devs from Japan have mentioned.
There will always be tons of games that release but only some of those would be eligibility to be chosen on PS compared to N/S which already has saturation issues.
