Really sad to see several of you guys banned on the other forum. I was getting frustrated as well by the reactions in the thread about Jim's latest video, and I ended up putting the thread on ignore.

Did you guys read the interview with Sweeney by the way? He actually admits that he isn't planning on offering healthy competition, but rather plans to win the "storefront war" by pulling developers away from Steam. It's disgusting really...

In other news I've finished Dragon Commander


It's such a weird game it tries to be so many things at the same time: A turn based board game, an RTS and a sort of RPG/diplomacy game that it excels at nothing (well the writing is great at least).

All in all I liked the game I just wish there was a bit more to it.

Uuuuuuh guys
I'd like some help please.
My brother was kind enough to get me FF11 and FF14 for my birthday, but He got them from the S-E store.
Is there any way for me to get their Steam versions

So this was buried in the Era thread because people are busy with the moderation policy.

Has anyone here been following this game? Looks pretty with decent animation. Still pretty early in early access though.

Alright guys, there is a slight possibility that I might die, so I bought one of those mugs at Starbucks to get cheaper coffee and it's medium size and I always order small because I get free refills, BUT they always fill the mug full, so now I drink way more coffee than I'm used to.XD

I don't think that'd sit well with my own personal ethics.....
How can I justify selling my keys for $30~40? because let's be reasonable who would want a Play-online version of the game in 2019 when the Steam ver. is more than likely the BEST way to play the game now. Consider that the games have been cheaper than $10 per title before.

Buy the Steam versions, keep the codes unredeemed, do not tell your brother.

Your brother did not know you wanted the Steam versions, so there is nothing wrong with his gift per se. If it makes you feel better about spending that money, you can imagine that the money you spend to get the Steam version is the price to "upgrade" the Square-Enix versions to Steam. Just my 2 cents.

It would be hilarious if FF14 is in the next monthly...or...if it is in the new bundle later today XD Eh I'll manage somehow, thanks for taking the time lads and lasses~
Ah well he meant well but I've come to the point where I don't want bday gifts because I don't know what bday gifts to get for my siblings anyways and we're too old for that ish :V

You're kidding, but all these indies that complain about store cuts should have been around during the "golden age" of retail, physical copies.
They would be getting far less for each copy, and would wait up to a year, sometimes more, before publishers would pay them anything.

I mean, I think on some systems, payments are still each quarter.

I've come across this game somewhere (discovery queue? Tizoc thread? I honestly don't know, lol) and put in on my wishlist, because I liked how it looks.
...That's all I know about it though, lol.
