Everyone at the double digits with their games played and I'm still at game 9. :notlikethisblob:

Need to stop playing these long-ass games. :steam_pigblanket:

Though after a break consisting out of Kingdom Hearts 3 and DMC 5 I'm back to enjoying Dragon Quest XI. Wonder how much progress I can make before Sekiro comes out Friday. But DQXI is a nice game to come back to everytime. Such a delight.

I'm only at 6, and Sekiro is going to delay that even further. It's not a race. Just enjoy! Play all the long games you want.

I'm still playing my first one! Granted it's a long one. D:OS2

D:OS2 is such a fantastic game. Hope you have fun.

Maybe pepper in a smaller game while you play a longer one then? So that way it can keep things fresh.
Yeah, will do. Have a short game or two lined up as palate cleanser after Sekiro.

I make a bigger fuss than it is. Had not much free time in the first 7 weeks of the year due to uni stuff and wasn't always in the mood for games. Will probably have a streak where I beat like 5 short ones in a week or so. :winking-face:

But the backlog is towering and I'm participating in mutliple Backlog Blitzes! :notlikethisblob:
Step 1: don't call it a backlog, that makes it sound like work. Call it a collection or library.

Last year I probably wasn't even at 10 games around this time, but this year it just so happened that I haven't really played any crazy long games yet, mostly short ones.

April is such a stacked month, One Finger Death Punch 2 alone stomps on DMC5 and Sekiro. Death Mark and Zanki Zero will be the cherries on top.
all months are stacked on steam :p Tizoc does a monthly highlight thread of all the noteworthy and interesting games on steam each month ... and he always has at least 200-300 games on that list ... every single month, lol

finished 31 game this year, most in the pauses between Portia's days, you only can save at the end of the day, and days can take darn long if you doing dungeons for example.
Also changed my game showcase, to pimp Portia some, cuz I feel it still doesn't get attention it deserves.

My rare achievement showcase is dominated by Portia. That's a good indication of not many poeple playing it.
Need to write a review also.

Bought FM19, ehhhhhhh. I mean, it's complex, it has an impressive database and all, but I'm actually surprised that the game only has sounds when simulating a match, like, no sounds at all, no music, no click when managing things in those giant spreadsheets. One of the worst tutorials I saw in recent time, too. Might go back to it with a open mind later, but I'm also looking for other sports manager games.

Just finished Killer is Dead, which I think I started 2 years ago, lol.
I really loved how stylish, weird and crazy the artstyle and store are. Was not a fan of the "Gigolo Missions" though...
...That makes 20 games this year so far.
I'm in the mood to play some stuff more I've had for a while, but haven't finished or even started for whatever reasons, but I'm not sure what yet.
Ah, I remember KiD! Since I went for all achievements like a crazy person. :p Ultimately enjoyed the whole experience though. It's really a shame how few of the more experimental PS3 games made it to PC, IE: Asura's Wrath, El Shaddai...

That final boss track though...

==================

Also still can't see stuff on Era, so I'm not able to follow the conversation... It seems Devolver's Observation game had it's store page deleted? Even the website doesn't mention PC/Steam anymore... So Epic exclusive or PC version canceled? I wonder... 😢
================

Haven't been able to play much this month cuz moving... moving always sucks. o_O Still manage to squeak in a little R6 Siege time before bed tho. :p

it might not be necessarily epic-exclusive ... but it's pretty obvious at this point that it's not coming to steam anymore (probably ever - they even nuked the forums ... not even ubi did that when they removed division) ... so it might be going to google (would coincide with their announcement in like 2 days) ... or maybe it is indeed going to epic, who knows

but yeah, it certainly doesn't seem to be coming to steam any time soon (if ever) ... otherwise they wouldn't have removed the store page AND removed the steam logo from their website

some people said it was because maybe devolver isn't publishing them anymore ... but they only removed the steam logo from their website, devolver is still there, so ... yeah ...

Yo what one finger death punch is in april?

Gonna finish up velocity 2x then go finish up more of the first game
So here is a discussion i thought id start off here-
Microsoft is looking to release more of their titles on Steam, being something Phil is heading.
As we start seeing more MS titles on Steam, what if all of a sudden we see some hardcases open up to the idea of Ninty and Sony doing something similar?
In the case of Ninty, they already have a few titles on the nvidia shield (however much good that is doing them), so those could work as first picks for release on Steam.

Now reason i mention the term headcases is because if u brought up this idea about a few years ago, there would be riots :v
Nowadays and as we enter 2020, with all this talk of streaming games etc. The barriers reqlly need ro be removed. Non Nintendo consumers dont care about their closed off pieces of plastic, they care about their games.

as much as i would LOVE for this to happen - i don't think it will any time soon ... ESPECIALLY from Sony - they just don't care

i could maybe potentially see Nintendo doing it ... like maybe releasing one ancient game to "test the waters" .... but even that ... i don't know, doesn't seem likely

they pretty much only agreed to the nvidia thing because it's 100% locked to China (like you literally have to get the Chinese Shield to be able to play it, there's no reasonable way to make it run on a non-Chinese one) ... and even then it's just emulated, i believe ... it's not a "real port"

but yeah, i'd love for something like that to happen ... like i was saying just 2 days ago on twitter - i'd even take PS1/NES-SNES ports (proper ones, not just shitty emulators)

With how well Nintendo and Sony is doing this gen, I don't see any benefit for them to open up their exclusives, they would lose:
-Hardware sales
-Subscription sales (PS+/Nintendo Online)
-Online store cut
And this is just with 5 seconds of thinking, I'm sure you could find lot of more reasons for them to not do it.

As far as Microsoft can be concerned, a Windows PC is their own platform as much as Xbox and from all we know so far moving forward they're treating these not as separate platforms but as different means to get to their OS and software platforms. Sure, they failed to make the Windows Store successful for now which is why Steam versions are necessary, but the platform and these games doing good in general is still to their benefit and it's not like they're releasing Linux versions which would mean people can play it on a non MS platform (though even if they did the percentage would be too tiny to even matter). Of course I'd love to play these Sony and Nintendo games without buying additional hardware but it's not gonna happen outside some Sony Online Entertainment MMORPG or similar as in the past or maybe some spin off game like Nintendo has been doing on mobile, which haven't been what I want to play anyway.

SOE hasn't been a thing for years now :p

Sony Online Entertainment sold off by Sony, renamed Daybreak Game Company (2015)

their only connection to PC right now is them being the publisher of like 5 games on steam :p either through their mobile(sic!) branch or their music(sic!) branch, lol

Well, I gave up on I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream after completing four of the storylines. Good atmosphere, very interesting story (both the overarching one and the individual stories) but the puzzles just aren't fun to try and figure out. Gabriel Knight's puzzles were way better in that regard.

yeah, at this point i'd probably just look up a walkthrough and finish the game to see the rest of the story

I just watched a playthrough of this game cause I was so intrigued about it, it was great watch at least.

I do not see this update in Windows Update kb4482887
Should I have it be installed or was it removed in the lastest windows update?

I had a bunch of those PlaySim in my wishlist, dropped all them but this one. I don't know, those aren't looking particularly good, and while I could get behind PlaySim and Car Mechanic Sim, don't know if they can pull all those sims with the same quality.

Anyone here played Fate/EXTELLA? I have zero knowledge about Fate things, and have been wondering if I could jump in Extella or if it's better watch something before.

I think † Echo † is our resident Fate/Extella expert.
I would like to know this as well: Should one have played Fate/Extra before Extella, and is Extra good? (I only saw a few eps of the Extra anime, but that is apparently something way different from the game?)

Is there some way to hide your activities on Steam activity feeds? I'm aware that you can hide your friends' activities (hide photos, achievements, game whistlist/follow, etc), but how about mine? For example, when I buy a game, I'd rather not tell the world that I bought it.

Oh anyway, happy birthday, Ascheroth~!

I think you have to set your profile to private. Not sure if it will hide your activity
