Steam teaser for the upcoming Knuckle Sandwich. A GBA-style RPG.

Also the store page went up a couple days ago which I saw nobody on my friends has on their wishlist.

No concrete release date at the moment.

Please someone get this guy away from pc gaming 😠
For someone worth billions he sure feels the need to justify himself on Twitter. And somehow always come out looking worse.

Pleaaaaase Tim. We are all just filthy pirates who don't appreciate your glorious contributions to the world of gaming. Can't you leave us alone and go back to consoles? I heard they really like exclusives!

I think it's pretty clear at this point that we just lack the brain capacity to comprehend Epic Store's incredible contribution to this industry. Tim Sweeney lying to us constantly and pulling other bullshit is good for us, we just don't know it yet.

clearly ... that must be it

i mean - he's CLEARLY much smarter than any of us in here - he's a billionaire after all, and we all know being rich automatically makes everyone smarter

Exactly. His definition of healthy competition is "the best moneyhatter wins". And somehow, that's supposed to be good for us as consumers. He's nuts... 😠
he really is ... and it's fucking scary

Gotta admit, I usually already don't like several of the currently really popular games, but I don't think I'd ever wanted for a game to fade out so bad like with Fortnite. I know... I know, it is probably not going anywhere soon, but a man can dream :crying-face:

EDIT: Speaking of popular, that was a really short sale on the COD games. Well, at least I'm not temped to get some for the campaign.

In case anyone is interested, the developers of Unheard have announced that in a couple of months they will release a free DLC for the game:

The game seems to be selling and reviewing well (especially in China).

It currently has a launch discount of 27% off until April 4th:

I actually really enjoy both the BR and STW versions of Fortnite, but I really wish the games were somehow not associated with Epig :suicide-blob:

There will be a closed multiplayer beta for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord :hugging-face:

Skirmish is a 6 vs 6, player versus player (PvP) game mode. There are no bots to rely on, just your individual combat skill, and that of your fellow teammates. And while tactical prowess and strategy play a huge part in achieving victory over your opponents, solid teamwork and good communication are key to success.
...
Of course Skirmish mode, like other multiplayer modes, is still under development and there is still a lot of work needed to fine tune and balance everything. To do this more efficiently, we are planning to carry out a closed multiplayer beta where we hope to get help and feedback from members of our community.

So, any Tropico 6 players ? Feedback ?
Having played a surprising amount of Two Point Hospital these last few weeks I think it’s fair to say I’m in a watching simulated little computer people mood. But I don’t know which opus to play, I loved 5 and could come back to it but it could be graphically rough. Some people seem to think the best of the series was pre-5 but it would be rougher. And 6 is mighty tempting but I just have negative money right now and I read some middling feedback.

IIRC this was a kickstarter game that got funded a year ago. Surprised it took this long to get a Steam store page.

Anyone know anything about/got impressions of Death Mark?

Looks interesting in a horror Danganronpa sort of way but not much info freely available on wiki or such. Is it part of a series?

FunktionJCB is our local Experience Inc. expert :)

I don't think it's part of a series. It looks very interesting.
Yeah, such a great "expert".
Like I mentioned before, I didn't even know Experience Inc. was behind the game! :grimacing-face:

I really enjoy their brand of Wizardry-inspired dungeon crawlers, but I'm completely clueless about this game.
I know from checking the Steam page, and seeing a couple of videos, that it's an horror/adventure of sorts, and that's pretty much it.

What else have they done? Can't say I've heard of them
Anything else similar to Death Mark?
Death Mark appears to be something new for them.
It has a few similarities in terms of look to Stranger of Sword City, but Death Mark appears to be an adventure game, while up until now they have done pretty much only old-school Wizardry-inspired dungeon crawlers.

To the beginning:
Experience Inc. is a company formed by former staff of one of the companies that did Wizardry games for Japan. It's a bit strange, but long after the series was dead in the West (and Sir-Tech was gone), it remained popular in Japan, enough that a number of Japanese-only titles were made.

So, Experience Inc. comes from this background, and pretty much all they've done so far is old-school dungeon crawlers, inspired by Wizardry (a classic Western RPG series). But, in order to make them commercially viable (especially on consoles), their titles use anime aesthetics.
A fun fact: they started out as a PC-only developer. In Japan! Yes, these guys were so "hardcore" Wizardy fans, their first series of games was PC-only, where many of the Japanese Wizardry fan base was.

So, it's a peculiar case: there's a big contrast between their games and mechanics, and the look of the games. All their games use a very old-school formula, inspired by a classic Western RPG series, yet their look tries to be "accessible" to Japanese gamers, in order to try to be commercially viable.

Their games include: Demon Gaze, Stranger of Sword City, Students of Round, Ray Gigant, New Tokyo Legacy, and more.
Not all of them have been released on Steam.

These are the ones currently available:

And, of course:

If you want to give them a try, Stranger of Sword City is a great starting point, especially since it's frequently on sale:

There are developers who get a negative review on Steam, and go to twitter to complain about customers, Steam as a platform, and the usefulness of reviews.

And then there are developers like NEXT Studios, who received a negative review complaining about the short length of their game Unheard (and one a bit rude at that), and had this to say:

To quote them:

«Thank you for your feedback. We are a small team trying hard to creat a new kind of narrative and detective experience. We know the game is short and in some ways immature, but we will updating patches and DLC to make it more complete. Please do not rush and give us a bad review, give us more time and space to improve. Thanks!

The Unheard Team»

The reviewer actually ended up changing his review to a positive one. :)
