I quit Spiro 2 in Reignited Trilogy. No interest in finding 40o orbs, only got 14 already. Maybe in the future, I hate when games give me requirements like that to progress.

I'm so sad! Ori just isn't a game for me but it's so beautiful and I love everything about it, well except playing it haha. I'm even playing it on easy haha.

I feel exactly the same. I liked the first for its visual style and presentation but i really struggled to get through it, even on easy. Not going to try the new one for a while.

Really? I found the requirement to be pretty insignificant in Spyro 2. It's only like two thirds of them, and with 14... you got what, less than one of them per level?
Even if you avoid the crappy minigames, it's not much of an ordeal.

Now the bonus endgame content in Spyro 3, that was entirely different...

Maybe I just want to play Ori and Blands 3 so I feel Im rushing through Spyro 2 and 3, so Im gonna give Spyro 2 a new try when Im done with Ori and Blands 3.

Jut tried Ori on game pass and it has really bad slow downs for me, pretty much unplayable at the moment. I'm disappointed as I was really looking forward to the game. I'll have to try again after work when I can shut everything else down but I feel like my PC should be able to handle this game easily.

H3VR started (years ago) basically roomscale only but it is very much not now. You can definitely do standing / sitting with some of the control scenes perfectly well. If it interests you, pick it up!
Thanks! I was pretty meh on the only shooty VR game I've played so far (Zero Calibur) but H3 looks fun so I'll have to give it a shot.

I downloaded Ori 2 and really wanna play it but I also really want to let my gf watch from the start. So I guess I will continue mucking around in Sekiro until the weekend :P

I think that's it.

Honestly, Spyro 2 is a collect-a-thon... the sole goal is to collect everything. If you feel like the need to collect stuff is a roadblock then, like you said, maybe you're currently more in the mood to play something else!

They take it apart and make things out of it. Mario gets lost under the fridge.
There is something charmingly existential in these sentences :thinking-blob:

Time to stock up on toilet paper.

I think there was a report somewhere they are working on a BPM overhaul.
I recall a while there was indeed some tweets about the reason why the library was taking so long was partially because bpm was getting in on it as well, but here we are.

VR got a new interface too so I expect bpm to be next, but I just want it now.

So, I got an update from Steam support - there's no way for me to pay ahead of time for an Index that won't ship for weeks, so there's no way for me to get the HL:A from that. So now I'm not sure if I wanna just wait for Index and play it that way, or buy the game itself and maybe cancel Index order altogether.

You people with the loud keyboards, you are monsters! ;)

I greatly prefer quiet keyboards and mice... there is nothing worse than having someone clack loudly in my vicinty (which can happen at work) - but I also dont like it when my keyboards are loud. I'm currently using an (already older - 2007) Apple keyboard. It's nice and quiet.

Stop being weird, the clickity-clackity is basically ASMR. Louder the better. :pleasedblob:

I'm rocking a Cherry MX Brown and it's great but I'd like to upgrade to Blue in due time for some of that ultra clickyness!

Yet there are also those developers, some of whom still work at Naughty Dog today, who say that there’s a part of them that actually wishes this game would fail. A critical flop might help show Naughty Dog that this isn’t the best way to make games, that this level of sacrifice isn’t necessary, that maybe the project isn’t worth losing all of these people. That perhaps, no matter how many Game of the Year nominations they win or how high their Metacritic scores climb, all the individual hairs on Joel’s eyebrows or the grains of sand in a burlap sack just aren’t worth the cost.

When developers themselves want the game to fail. Oof.

And of course the defense force is out and unsurprisingly the same people that against HZD PC.

At work I am using a silent keyboard. Quite good. Does the job, but sometimes a bit difficult to find some F keys.

At work I use laptop keyboard and Logitech M331 Silent Plus because I don't want to bother my coworkers,

At home I use the loudest mechanical keyboard and it brings me joy if I hear my keyboard sound echoing from my friends mic on Discord.

I've made a video with my first impressions about the Steam version of Ori and the Will of the Wisps, tested it on 2 different PCs and yeah, it has a few disappointing issues:

In short:
1) Disable in-game V-Sync
2) Install the game on SSD
3) Wait for patches because with such issues and occasional bugs you can easily ruin your experience

The game itself is great, but yeah, if you still haven't bought the game yet it's better to wait a little more.

Stop being weird

No, you :P

Interestingly, my work keyboard is louder than my home keyboard. I have considered bringing in one of my Apple keyboards (I still have 2 additional ones of the same type, but they would need some fixing).

Of course people were more offended by the fact that some guys decided to criticize Naughty Dog than companies using literal slave labor to manufacture their shit.

It is absurd. I will probably have to avoid discussions like this to keep my blood pressure down. People being unreasonable to such an extreme amount is irritating, to say the least.
I'm very much against overworking people, especially when it is against their will, and anyone not understanding why massive amounts of overtime is a bad thing is beyond me. Fuck workaholism, seriously.

Blands 3 today and I still don't know if I should choose Amara or Fl4k, but Im heading towards Amara.

This quote about devs hoping that the game would fail reminds of Jason's Bioware story, where similar thoughts were expressed by some devs because they thought it would wake the management up and such.

Anthem did fail hard (not financially though IIRC it's one of the top selling) but I doubt that TLoU2 will fail. People really love their movie games.

The new VR interface still uses a lot of the legacy BPM stuff once you go deeper into the menus. It's safe to assume that an overhauled BPM is going to be the next interface change they make, as the VR UI beta definitely feels like a mishmash of something new and shiny on the surface, but digging deeper it's the same old-ass BPM UI.

My best guess is any new BPM mode will also be touch-friendly in addition to controller-friendly, which will be useful in both VR and Remote Play.

I'm not sure people realize just how bad things have to get for people to want the game they are working on to fail.

They've been working on this thing for literal years, it's occupied all their days and sometimes night, their whole world is this thing. I cannot understate how deeply invested they are in it, in the dream behind it. To want it to fail means the crunch is absolutely grueling.

I have a much worse opinion of ND after hearing of this. I have to admit, I didn't think they crunched all that much.

I hope for Bloodborne so it can finally be played with good performance.
But out of all the games that could come, Bloodborne won't. It didn't even receive a Pro update...
As things stand, I agree - imagine the rage if Bloodborne gets a PC version but no PS4 Pro update. Maybe if they are going back to Bloodborne to port it to PS5 they do a PC port at the same time. Only way I see it happening, frankly.

That said, Sony are dipping their toes into PC in a meaningful way. HZD is a big hit and has sold millions of copies on PS4, and it tells me they are taking the platform seriously and seeing how such a high calibre game sells. This isn't a case of porting something that isn't making as big of a wave and using that as an excuse to ignore the platform for another 5 years - they are definitely testing the waters here and taking it very seriously by bringing one of their flagship IPs to a new platform.

Bloodborne might also be a good follow up experiment to HZD because the Dark Souls games are good sellers on PC, so it seems like an easy win for whoever is making this PC push inside the company.
