Speaking of Subnautica, I suppose no one knows if they have added achievements for the EGS version of the first one ?
I mean, I‘m not against paying for a Steam version, but Subnautica is really pricey for its relative age.

Octopath Traveler via game pass PC doesn't work anymore. What the fuck MS you goddamn asswipers.

I played about 4 hours of it about 2 weeks ago to check it out, liked it a lot and now the game won't open anymore whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

you goddamn shitheads MS why are you so goddamn incompetent. The game doesn't wanna open anymore son of a bitch. fucks sake.

Why the fuck should I keep using this godawful crap system/service if I can't trust that the games Im playing on it suddenly out of nowhere stops working.

not even Epic Store is this terrible

Im gonna stop using this shit of a system and service. Im not gonna continue using something I cannot trust won't fuck something up. Saves gone missing, games not starting up. Fuck this bullshit.

This is what ms are doing:

i saw a rant here and i just want to spill my very own beans for a second

god, i hate boneworks VR. yeah sure, its really nice to have melee, to climb, to shoot all of those guns and bla bla bla, but guess what. the movement. the fucking movement. even the oculus store thing says its "intense", why isn't there some better alternative? i dont want to feel motion sick as i use the joystick to just fly through the stage, can't i at least have the armswing thing from H3VR?

i do not regret uninstalling it, and i'm now a sucker for h3vr, anyone else feeling like this?

I'm nearing the end of Subnautica below zero and have enjoyed it. Not as good as the first but thats only because the first was such a stand out game. Its basically more of the same which is good enough.

There is a VR mod out which is amazing. The scale of it in VR is something else. It feels like you are 100m underwater,
just not wet.

Try Natural Locomotion, I believe its point is to add various kinds of stuff like arm swing locomotion or other optional methods to games that don't offer any of it.

I hated Boneworks for all its worth but not because of the concept of physics or analog stick movement, those are fine in plenty games, I just find it badly done.

Sorry you get motion sick, hope all games will have options to account for you, so long as they keep analog stick movement and everything else for me too 👌

I'm having tons of fun with Dirt 5. I can see why so many people dislike it since it has nothing to do with rally.
tbh i would mazbe argue the while DIRT subseries of original CMR , has nothing to do with actual rally :p
What i remember lots of eople hating is that its "just" sequence of races in the career without zero supposed "depth" .

My experience with Xbox app on Windows was also great. One day Gears 5 decided it won't launch anymore, straight up nothing happened when I opened the game. Windows Store ( but not the Xbox app!) showed me that there is an update for Gears 5, so I installed it. Nothing has changed, it still could not launch. I decided to reinstall the game so I uninstalled it and... I did not get back my storage space, and I could not download the game again. I believe it was before the pandemic and I did not bother with this shit again. Game Pass is a great value, but the Windows app is garbage and I do not want to bother again with restoring my lost storage space.

I actually like it that way. This supposed "depth" that other arcade racers offer is mostly grinding to upgrade your car, in order to beat the next few races by being overpowered instead of getting better. I've uninstalled the latest NFS because of this BS.

Completely ignoring the Windows Store and it's buggy encrypted file containers has been a great decision so far. 😊
It gets worse, I only used the MS Store to participate in a login campaign for PSO2 and to participate in the closed beta of NGS, I noticed that both stuttered considerably more than the Steam version of PSO2.

Recently I saw this post on the steam community hub in a topic about the NGS beta, I guess this explains the stuttering:
The XBox-related applications will use the Microsoft Service "VSCS" (Volume Shadow Copy Service) to create fake disks for any application you have installed through the Microsoft Store.. which can lead to your entire system stuttering tremendously.

I discovered this after starting to play PSO2 through the MS version rather than here through Steam. There was one point where I had a good 30-second hang in PSO2 when I joined a party in a UQ.. of course, this was new to me and very unacceptable. I went looking and discovered a bunch of "Disk [N] was surprise removed" events in the event viewer, so I looked those up and discovered that this is what the XBox crap on Windows 10 does for any game you play via the MS store.

You can check this yourself by opening up your Device Manager, clicking the + sign next to "Hard Disks", then clicking "View" up top and select "View Hidden Devices"--you will likely notice numerous entries named "Xvd" that are grayed out, and some that are still highlighted as being installed.

In my case, I had around 8 entries, only two of which were highlighted; I assume one for the NGS program, and the other for the PSO2 program.

If you uninstall any MS Store-related program, these copies will all gray out, and you can safely uninstall ONLY THEM from the Device Manager, which will keep it from happening again.. theoretically.

No idea if all games in the MS Store do this or if it's just a few though.

I finished part 1 of Scarlet Nexus, and the two biggest issues are the camera and just "too many buttons". Maybe it can be changed but in the demo the color scheme is off, they just need to swap the X and Y colors and then you get the Xbox Colour scheme.

It is. Cool, also you can tell fork the cutscenes with the way that those are still images that it looks like they had to cut production cost somewhere and that included the cutscenes. They could have done 3D renders for the cutscenes bit in stead you get still images in the style of a comic book.

Since my new PC in 2019, I almost never had issue with MS store.
But good lord, it always felt like the system can collapse anytime of something goes off.

Good thing FH4 got ported to Steam, because I don't want to deal with Win10/MS Store finicky-ness ever.

Thankfully I have very strong "VR legs" but I also gave up on the game quite early. It's a cool concept, but it breaks apart way too often. The thing with having the full body with physics stuff is that only some parts are actually tracked in real life (the hands and the head) so the game has to "guess" where the rest is, and in my experience, that's not a fun thing. I'll take a game where there's only your hands on display, but your body doesn't get stuck on stuff because the game guessed wrong.

Please tell me Yakuza 6 holds up? I've just made friends with the yakuza gang in the small town and I'm so into the game! But that is how I felt at the beginning of Yakuza 4 and 5 too.

That is Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition done. I really liked it and enjoyed in this journey across the Russia. I liked change of pace and scenery from precious two games. I don't think that i would like another game set in metro environment.

Next i will go back to CP2077 and focus on that and after CP i think that i will go with Half-Life Alyx.

I THINK this 10 games will be this week's chart, I don't exactly know the order (even tho I have my own ideas) so we will see, if I'm correct with this one I will be happy enough hehe

EDIT: Likely outcome!
Do you really think Witcher3's recent sale will bump it that much?

I just opened it and chat is there. Icon under News tab.
What the hell, I just started Tetris Ultimate and it uses the old uPlay layout for the overlay. Siege had a new one with no possibility to chat. Weird.

I've used Gamepass for a while and I've had Forza Horizon 4 on the Windows Store for a while, and I haven't had any extreme stuttering like that. I can imagine this being some byproduct of Sega adapting PSO2 to Microsoft's shite W10 gaming frameworks.
I really have to ask why Microsoft can't just be fucking normal. Who the hell comes up with this? I remember hearing Microsoft wanting the Xbox and PC versions of their games to be running off the exact same codebase or something, is this a part of that?

I continue to be impressed about how long It Takes Two has been holding on to the top 10. 22k reviews, 5.7k people playing it right now. Even with the friend's pass, that really is something. Again, maybe it's China (judging by the posts in the forum) but it really is a surprise.

And since I "helped" Days Gone with it's #1, I should probably start playing it before it gets lost in the backlog ocean....

It is for sure, keep in mind this will keep growing ahead of release, so you will see it sitting in number 1 next week a lot.

I finished the DLC "The Two Colonels" yesterday, which takes place in the Metro (well, not the one in Moscow, but the one in Novosibirsk), and it does feel kinda boring compared to the open world you get used to in the main campaign of Metro Exodus.
Of course. the DLC is very short so it doesn't wear off its welcome, but I kinda hope future Metro games keep this open world aspect alive. I could see it working even with a metro environment, if you turn it into a kind of "metroidvania" game where you can explore the entire Metro freely.

Nier Replicant Route A done.
I'm not a fan of the game part, to say the least. Now, the writing is another story. Too little for the most part during the game with a few very good exceptions, and a great ending sequence that screams 'Play the other Routes'. I didn't know I was in for the weeb version of a pretty famous CRPG, pleasantly surprised.
Now let's be real, if the 4-5 nebulous documents you get just before the ending are meant to explain the lore, I will need a 5 year old version. But I got the basic and it's, yeah, very good.

It's unfortunate there was a game developed on a shoestring to play before the good part.
...
Oh yeah, it's Drakengard all over again :smiling-eyes:
