Get the anger out of you now then :p. Though it could still be a day 1 PC release I guess.
Yes, if Silent Hill 2 is the path they are going to follow, it's easy to expect a Day 1 PC release.

I think Alan Wake 2 will be the big one, but yeah, it will be interesting to see if Tim Epic is still willing to burn money on egslusives.
I expect their publishing brand will start announcing stuff sooner or later, however, I wouldn't expect them to keep burning money on a lot of EGS timed exclusives, there will be a few more but most (at least those few I know about) are likely from multi-game deals signed few years ago.

To be honest, even published ones will likely reach Steam at some point in the future, even AW2 if I had to guess, but as always, patience is key.

Finished up Midnight Suns 2 days ago and Im soon about to finish up Nioh 2. Both good games. The last 3 weeks Ive been focusing on some of these bigger "non-indie" and "non-AA games" and I gotta say, Im getting a bit tired of these types of bigger games so it's gonna be good to return to indies and AA games again.

I man, I had a lot of fun with many of these bigger games, except for Ni No Kuni 2, Rage 2 and maybe Dying Light 2, but I still feel I have even more fun with indie games and AA games. The most fun Ive had with a game in the last 2 months I think is Moss Book 2 and Zelda TotK.

Currently my aim for the summer sale with bigger games is RE4 and Stranger of Paradise as I don't expect a sale on Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

lashman Can you explain now? I'm still so confused as to why you were hinting at something horrible about this game and are still acting dejected about it lol. That trailer was great.
eh, just various decisions they made regarding this game, you'll see

stuff like kameos, for example

I personally don't mind the publisher deals half as much. I really doubt we would have seen Wake 2 without it, from what I understand Epic is really the one's paying the bills there when no larger publisher wanted to risk a sequel.

This looks f*cking incredible! I don't care about weird kameo's and stuff, as long as the game is good and Mileena is in there I'm happy. 😁

Really looking forward to this one. Let's hope it's a decent port with good net code. Oh and Tim, I will kill your dog if it's EGS exclusive. 😑

Q: Which PC platforms will Mortal Kombat 1 be available on?
A: Mortal Kombat 1 will be available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Agreed. But I still don't want their publishing label to become successful. Epic has been proven to be a shitty company over and over again during the past few years. The less games they are involved the better imo.

I'm also pretty sure that the chance of Epic published games appearing on other storefronts will be largely dependent on their succes. If Alan Wake 2 is doing well on EGS, it's rather unlikely that Epic will allow Remedy to self-publish the game on Steam or GoG.

Considering it's the PC Gamer show I expect a lot of EGS
eh, probably not, tbh, they largely stopped paying for moneyhats. Could be some Epic Publishing announcements, though I wouldn't expect the Playdead or genDesign reveals from a PC-centric show

Dang, really? I assumed it was doing this because I have Immortals installed through PC Game Pass, not merely because my Ubi account was linked. Either way, it's annoying.

I should check the MK11 DLC story stuff at some point, I think I downloaded a playthrough a while back but never actually looked at it.

Holy moly. I really hope the server fix actually works, because this dude and his overly complex nonsense is 100% my bullshit.. He's like Nine the Phantom crossed with Platinum the Trinity, with some extra meter management sprinkled on top. I've been in permanent character crisis since Strive released, because everyone I enjoy mechanically, I dislike aesthetically, and vice versa. Asuka is the first character that looks like he'll hit on both fronts for me.

I'm conflicted with QLOC because they're supposed to be a good port house but I've had trouble with every single one of their games. And their MK ports in particular were kinda bad at launch.

AW2 won't do well. It's niche as fuck. Im saying that as a self-declared Alan Wake superfan who has the first game as one of my favorite games of all time.

Only reason I will get to play the sequel at all is because Epic is funding it.

Wasn't MK11 fine on PC? I at least don't recall any big hubbub about it. Mk10 was a disaster at launch, but that was originally by High Voltage.

I've seen some talk lately about QLOC being bad but my impression of them has always been fine, but at the same time I don't think I've played anything ported by them in years.

Uninstalled Nioh 2 for now, it's a good game, I just have to take a break from this triple aaa games for a while with the exception of Zelda.

Don't feel like playing a super difficulty game atm either.

Yeah, AW2 is likely going to bomb super hard lol. I've been wanting AW2 very badly for a long time now and I don't fault Epic for funding it when nobody else wanted to. But giving me Alan Wake 2 still isn't enough to make me use the EGS or to offset all the harm they've done with their bullshit. At best, they'll get me to pirate a game for the first time in well over a decade. Great job, Tim!

When steam is open and my xbox one controller is connected, the mouse becomes unresponsive/lags. Anyone know a fix for this?

Perhaps AW2 will do better than the first game thanks to Control?

Anyway, I'm happy to see Epic finally adding some value to (PC) gaming instead of disrupting it. I wish they would have done this from the beginning instead of pissing people off with (late) money hatting.

I feel AW 2 is a doomed game regardless.

Without Epic, no AW2.

With Epic, AW2 will be thrown into the black hole and be forgotten after the first week of launch. There will be quite a lot of promotion on different shows and in other places, people will not care or ignore it "what's alan wake?", it will have a ton of Twitch views as Epic will partner up with a lot of big and smaller streamers, then after 2 weeks, AW2 will promo, excitement and hype will die down and it's release will feel like a suddent wave of wind had suddenly gone by without anyone actually having thought about the game.

Epic will only talk about how well it has done critically and among streamers, because it will be a good game, but will avoid sales and revenue as long as possible and any sort of revenue/sale talk will come out an article where Remedy is interviewed where they talk about how "the game didn't perform commercially well, but it was expected, but they are happy the game is out on the market at all".

2 years passes by and the game is out on Steam and that's when people realize that AW2 is a thing.

This post is not a joke, it is what I think will happen.

4060 - 299
4060 TI - 399
4060 TI 16 GB - 499

I have currently a 1660 super, how much can I expect from a normal 4060?
Based on the computerbase average fps results across multiple games at 1080p, when comparing to the 1660 Super:
  • 3060 is around 50% faster
  • 3060 Ti is around 95% faster
  • 3070 is around 120% faster
I think the 4060 is gonna end up between the 3060 and 3060 Ti, while the 4060 Ti is likely gonna be slightly worse than the 3070.

So now that i got RTX 4070 and DLSS3 FG mod for Jedi Survivor and did some testing you actually can run this game with perfectly flat frametime graph 99% of the time. And when i say perfectly flat i mean perfectly flat

So here is what's happening. Remember that talk how game runs perfectly fine at 30FPS? Well it's true if you lock FPS to 30FPS there is basically no stutter anywhere. You can push game to 40FPS and be stutter free 99% of the time. So this is where "magic" happens, by engaging DLSS3 FG mod and locking game to 80FPS via RivaTuner (i tried mod cap and NVCP cap but Riva works best) you are staying in that 40FPS range where you are 99% of time stutter free but FG brings you to 80FPS. With Nvidia Reflex you get better latency too. And there it is game running with frametime graph that is perfect line 99% of the time. And that is with RayTracing On.

Knowing Nvidia about 1060 performance lmao
The 4060 is using the chip usually reserved for the 50 series, so you're not that far off.

it's a shame that a $300 4060 will probably be the top card of the next 5 years, because when you set aside Frame Gen (which isn't available in most games, and hardly an IQ improvement in plenty of others) it's such a measly upgrade from the previous 60 series cards. The 4060ti/16gb at $500 is such a ridiculously bad value proposition that it only exists to upsell the 4070 and make entry level series benchmarks and graphs look not totally borked.

I think RTX 4060 is targeted more towards people that still run GTX cards. I went from GTX 1060 to 4060 and the upgrade was huuuge

it isn't out yet, but as an entry tier card it isn't bad.

But it should be better considering the 40 series line top to bottom.
