You say that as if the games did that well on EGS Games never charted on the epic year in review, while remake did and it launched at the end of that yearThen again, Kingdom Hearts might be big enough of an IP for it not to matter.
I assume the problem is budget and expectations,...The failures of Square Enix's PS5 exclusives, paired with Stellar Blade being a hit... Is it really a PS5 Exclusivity Problem, or a Final Fantasy is Unappealing Problem?
You're joking, right? Why hasn't fantomena posted yet about the Kingdom Hearts news? He bought them yesterday on EGS and already played more than two hours, didn't he?
I always viewed this one as a timed exclusive. I seem to remember it started life as a PC game that got snapped up by Sony.
It's the game that was known as Project Eve (and IIRC it was announced as fully multiplatform)I seem to remember it started life as a PC game that got snapped up by Sony.
I ALWAYS BELIEVEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
It's happening.
You can continue, it's missing the Rythim gamekinda miffed, ngl. It was fun teasing people like Hektor over Square not releasing it on Steam for so long

Yep. Also it's using UE4 so I'm fairly certain they have kept a PC build in a pretty decent state all along and will release as soon as their contract allows. It's the game that was known as Project Eve (and IIRC it was announced as fully multiplatform)
Good things dont last foreverkinda miffed, ngl. It was fun teasing people like Hektor over Square not releasing it on Steam for so long
The collections WILL be full priced each and you WILL buy themWe still have the revelation of how much it is going to cost still to come.
Assume the same price that the switch collection has:We still have the revelation of how much it is going to cost still to come.
Woho! Finally Kingdom Hearts on Steam! I am hoping for an affordable price for the entire package
Yes . At least I hope so!You're joking, right?
100 euro is better than 230 euro that's on EGSAssume the same price that the switch collection has:

HERE You'll have to wait another ~6h to have them visibleAre the KH store pages up already?
I want to ignore them asap!
Has been worked for long time
Thankfully i don't believe in DemocracyWe all agree that Hektor now needs to buy us all KH Collection? XD
Yes but I will pass, I don't want such crap stinking up my backlogWe all agree that Hektor now needs to buy us all KH Collection? XD
afaik it was in development around 4 years, they made "Bleeding Edge" before it (No I do not remember it either).Hellblade 2 sounds like Hellblade 1 with better graphics and stutter. Game was in development for 7 years and they basically just improved graphics. After finishing Plague Tale 2 that is basically same range of AA games (same price too), that was done in basically half the time than Hellblade 2 it is hard not to be disappointing for me.
Same as the spoiler, I have such confused look seeing everyone being so excited.Yes but I will pass, I don't want such crap stinking up my backlog
I have never played a KH game so I don't actually know if they are good or not
I don't think it's specifically Final Fantasy, but Final Fantasy 7. A lot of people seem to have forgotten Final Fantasy 7 is a 30 year old game that hasn't been relevant beyond a Smash bros cameo in 20 years, a remake of that is always going to have limited appeal compared to something new.Y'know, I've been thinking, and Stellar Blade just brings it to the forefront again
...The failures of Square Enix's PS5 exclusives, paired with Stellar Blade being a hit... Is it really a PS5 Exclusivity Problem, or a Final Fantasy is Unappealing Problem?
Because, like, I've seen a lot of "Final Fantasy isn't cool anymore/is for boomers/I don't play MMOs" talk in regards to FF out there.
We don't know numbers for Stellar Blade, right? It may just be a different expectations issue, Stellar Blade probably needed a much lower number of copies sold to be considered a success.Y'know, I've been thinking, and Stellar Blade just brings it to the forefront again

Me when Bloodborne arrivesCongrats to all who have been waiting so long for this to come to Steam, and congrats to me for never having to hear about it again
I think it's beyond nuanced. There's so many things to consider.Y'know, I've been thinking, and Stellar Blade just brings it to the forefront again

You gonna have those either waybut you'd have tons of arguments in the fanbase over whether or not it actually counts as an FF.
The player's team will all be Tifas with different outfits. You've heard it here first.Yoko Taro directing a Final Fantasy game...
It's all about the quantity of sales you want/need to be profitable. Stellar Blade will probably be very successful with a 1-2 million sales, an amount that is very much doable on a single platform. It's when you want to sell 5-10 million copies within the first few months that exclusivity becomes a real issue. Nintendo and Sony can only do it for the biggest and more mainstream of their first-party games but they throw their full marketing muscle behind them, which they absolutely won't do for the likes of Square and FF.Y'know, I've been thinking, and Stellar Blade just brings it to the forefront again

We still have Bloodborne for the laughs.kinda miffed, ngl. It was fun teasing people like Hektor over Square not releasing it on Steam for so long
My guess that Stella Blade does closer to 2-3 million. I'm mainly saying that just to cover my bases. It's all about the quantity of sales you want/need to be profitable.
