Sekiro having that mod bodes well for ER since its their latest version of their engine from a few years ago.

DS1-3 never being uncapped on PC is still one of the worst crimes ever committed.

Bloodborne framerate on base PS4 is even a bigger crime :notlikethisblob:

Doesn't the Sekiro framerate uncap mod have same issues that the original Dark Souls had if you went beyond 60? I seem to remember DF Alex doing a video about it and showing some of the bugs, but maybe the mod has improved?

I played with it through the first 4 or 5hrs of the game just fine. The pain in the ass with it was having to manually configure it every time you launched the game. At least that is how it was for me when mod was first released.

Specifically this thing that Alex points out in the video (timestamped), the same exact thing would happen in Dark Souls.

I don't. But if enough champs buy horse armor then there's horse armor everywhere
Compared to the practice highlighted in your post (weapon skins for a multiplayer game), selling "early access" means a one-time purchase with a capped spending. So it is less questionable than what we are used to in F2P games.

Moreover, the way I see it is that publishers sell hot air to people who knowingly accept to be overcharged, and then play-test the game for free for a week. Overall, it is a genius move to monetize hype. I mean, if one million people think it is worth it to pay 100€ to have access 4 days in advance to a 60€ game, then the publisher would be stupid not to get that money. That is 10 € per day of early access, it is crazy!

I know, I omit the fact that people get the expansion pass for that price. It could actually be worth it.

The very first review didn't inspire confidence at all.

And I was looking forward to this. :flare_pout:
I bought the game on day one (Experience Inc. is one of the small number of developers whose games are a sure day one purchase for me), and for what it's worth, the porting company has been quite active in the forums, and reacting to feedback.
The game has already received some fixes, added a quit option (one of the things I particularly dislike with some ports of Japanese console titles is when they forget to include an option on PC to quit the game, so you have to use alt+f4, or close the window; such option was missing at launch, I requested it, and they added it), is about to add cloud saves, and is being actively supported.

Also, I didn't experience any of the graphical issues described on that review (and, playing with a controller, I didn't experience any problems either), and frankly, considering the rest of the reviews don't have much complaints (except for the price), and that "reviewer" has 13 reviews, 12 negative (and usually posts the same complaints over and over), I really wouldn't put much stock on it. ;)

Battle Realms turns 20 years today. Here's a message from the creator of the game, which also provides info on upcoming changes to the version currently available on Steam:

As long as Reddit aren't Crypto Mining on our PCs and Phones what difference does it make if it's an imaginary Reddit point system or an imaginary CryptoCoin system? I suppose there must be money in it for someone somewhere or they wouldn't be doing it.

Thanks for your insight! I haven't kept track of the changes, but it's good if Aksys is listening to the feedback and fixing it. I'm still going to wait until they list it on Humble or elsewhere though.

I just noticed that Northern Journey stepped into Overwhelmingly Positive review status on Steam. Yea!

So crazy when only last month my fave indie Twitch streamer drew attention to the game saying it was a true hidden gem with only 12 reviews at time of recording.

And as if the solo dev could be any cooler...

Been playing Forza Horizon 5 and it is a lot of fun. Just wanted to let anyone here know that if they are playing the game with an Xbox controller that they should update it through the Xbox Accessories app on PC. I checked the app and updated my controller and that is what allowed the impulse triggers to work with the game on Steam.

It's funny. That Ninja game From made years ago also has wall collision issues (and other problems) at 60. I couldn't do some wall running qte until I reverted back to 30.

Can't believe that no one on here posted this... SRX, four-member team, and the giant hole on the ground.

I will care about Mass Effect again when they show gameplay. Even then I will be cautious.

And regarding NFTs it apparently is treated as digital good or whatever not as currency so they had to change laws to include it in regulation.

I still haven't played Andromeda. Gonna replay the trilogy first before jumping on that one.

Go for the 2 hour trial or whatever. If you reach the Nexus site, their version of the citadel, and you don't feel excited to play the game, then you can just easily skip the entire game.
That's what I did. It's crazy how this game just completely wastes the potential of the Mass Effect franchise by just feeling so incredibly by the numbers and unimaginative

There's not a lot they could change in ME tbh. If they change it too much people have tantrums that it's not Mass Effect anymore and if they keep it the same then people throw tantrums saying it's just more Mass Effect. Damned if you do, damned if you don't which is kinda liberating because you KNOW you're going to piss people off so you're free to do what you want but the money men want more of what sells so the shackles are back on.

I love my FemShep but i kinda want them to move on which is why i liked Andromeda being somewhere else with a new crew. A fresh start.
