I have no idea where to ask about audio hardware and such. Sister wants a soundbar for around 100 and I need some BT buds for my new phone...

All versions of MGS2 and MGS3 have been temporarily removed from all digital storefronts; probably something with renewal of trademark, but could it be connected to the Geforce Leak (with MGS2 and MGS3 HD collections being there)?
although the geforce leak stuff could just be mgs2 and mgs3 hd collections on nvidia shield

I was going to say your best bet is to search for "Best Soundbars under 100 dollars" and check to see if the same ones are mentioned a few times anc check those out. I gave it a quick look to see if there's any meaningful results and RTings were top reply and they're always a good place to start.

How I'd love the HD Collection on Steam :cryblob:

Anyone play Fallout 76? Not sure what to do, I'm constantly without space in my stash? What do you do with legendary stuff? Since you can't break them down for parts?
In case if you do not know the answer
You can sell your legendary weapon over at Legendary exchange machines at the train station

Go for the 2 hour trial or whatever. If you reach the Nexus site, their version of the citadel, and you don't feel excited to play the game, then you can just easily skip the entire game.
That's what I did. It's crazy how this game just completely wastes the potential of the Mass Effect franchise by just feeling so incredibly by the numbers and unimaginative
Thanks for the advice. I will probably just buy it at the end because it's not expensive at all. Not sure if they will have any reference to the upcoming game as well so better to experience it myself.

Oh completely missed that! But Ive been selling those whenever a wandering trader is in my camp.:)

There's not a lot they could change in ME tbh. If they change it too much people have tantrums that it's not Mass Effect anymore and if they keep it the same then people throw tantrums saying it's just more Mass Effect. Damned if you do, damned if you don't which is kinda liberating because you KNOW you're going to piss people off so you're free to do what you want but the money men want more of what sells so the shackles are back on.

I love my FemShep but i kinda want them to move on which is why i liked Andromeda being somewhere else with a new crew. A fresh start.

They can look at Guardians of the Galaxy for how to make dynamic between group of characters. They don't need to have that much banter but more interaction between companions is something they can improve.

I didn't play FO76, but isn't it common knowledge that you need a sub to survive your inventory space ? I think I saw a comment like that some time ago.

Game pass ultimate is giving one free month so that's what I'm playing. So not sure Ill continue once that runs out pretty much only because of the inventory issue. All my scraps are in a infinite scrap stash that is subscription only so it will be hell later.

Sure but until we get decent synthesised voices as an established tech it's going to be difficult for a 40-60 hour RPG game to have evolving vocalised dialog between such a range of squad character choices and mission decisions without it taking up a ton of storage space and production time. GOTG is linear with a set team so that makes it easier to design, script and produce. I'm still glad they did because apparently it's a great game with better dialog interactions than many people thought it would have.

It's a different beast to the Bioware type games though.

The stash is not as bad as it used to be it was originally at 400 then 800 and now it is at 1200. You can easily survive without fallout first now

Bioware games do have lots of linear missions though. And Guardians actually does have some sections that play differently depending on your choices. I think squad selection is the big problem. In order to get interactions on that level they would need a very limited (or even fixed) roster, and I don't think their fans would like that.

I still would love to see them try. If they can get even half of what GotG gets it right with it's characters and their interactions, it could be really great.

Going back to the poster. After playing the Legendary edition this year I'm probably more "hyped" than I should.... but I'm still waiting for them to stop dancing around the ending choice. You made a entire game with the a premise to avoid the issue and it flopped. Just pick a canon (and admit it) already :p

The Good Life needs a "run" button. Walking around in "cat" form is bearable, but it is a disaster in "human" or "dog" forms. For a game with lots of fetching quests, it is incredibly annoying. That being said, maybe it is done on purpose to make the "cat" form feel even better.

As a cat, you get to jump over fences and walls, and run faster. Exploring the map feels a lot better that way. :evilblob:

I also enjoy the camera and the scent mechanic.

honestly i'd love MGS collection on Steam. MGS 1 too... but man, MGS 3 was so fun to platinum on PS3. I'd love to do it again on Steam.

Its been said before, but I'll say it again, every game should be on Steam. :)
theres a bunch of old games that are GOG-exclusive for some weird reason, like my childhood favourite Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion (by id Software). Thats is still not on Steam after several years, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat if they'd bring it over.

You should get it anyway btw, its a great game: Dangerous Dave Pack

I expect the vast majority of it to be on Steam. The dev and pub never bothered to advertise the EGS version.
So it's Zoo Tycon, but with pixel art look and some interesting sci-fi mechanics (mention of DNA splicing in the Steam except).
Sounds perfect for Deck.

I decided to return to Dread Templar, a game I rather liked since the very first early access version was released, because there's a Halloween event about to end, and I always have a blast with this game.

I find it really awesome. Of all the games from this recent wave of "retro" FPS games, this one is easily my favorite, gameplay wise.
It's fast paced, it has a bit of melee combat (katanas, which you can combine into a devastating throwable weapon), bullet time, dash mechanics, (...).
On top of that, it's visually quite appealing (in a way, a modern take on the Blood games), and the soundtrack is just plain awesome.
I mean, I'm not even a big fan of "heavy" music, but this soundtrack is insanely catchy, and rather impressive. Here's a couple of examples:

Game streaming continues to suck. The fact that you have to rely on other companies in regards to your game experience continues to be terrible.
I recently played Halo 5 on XCloud over here and it was noticeably blurry - but to be fair, still responsive specially since you are using a controller.

But the "best" part was waiting about 5-7 minutes on a queue to start the game during peak hours. Complete with the typical "Microsoft Progress Bars" that go fast to about 80% and then gets stuck :p

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor, but I have a hard limit of $400 as a budget; does anyone have any recommendations on decent 4k monitors? I currently have a 22in 1080p 60hz monitor. Don't really care about having a framerate higher than 60, aiming for image quality as priority.

I don't know about 4k/60 monitors, but is there any specific reason you're skipping out on 1440p? You can get a good quality 1440p/144hz monitor for that budget. Even if you don't care about higher framerates, at that budget it's probably a better value.

27" 1440p would probably be better choice.
Something like LG 27GL850-B

I dunno any good 4k ones in that range. But 1440p on the other hand...

I got 2x Dell s2721dgf way back at the beginning of the year, and holy shit it's the best computer thing i ever did imo. (As a former TV only gamer.)

How can anyone guarantee 60 fps if gta4 and stuff can't achieve that even with 3090. No one's gonna replace server hardware every 3 months either.
What nv could do is make sure the application itself isn't a piece of steaming shit.

Well of course streaming sucks, display port 1.4 bandwidth is ~30 Gbit/s, how fast is your internet and can nv afford even 10% of that figure lol.
