Everyone should read this interview, it's a tremendous vindication for everything we've been fighting for. Seeing an EA executive talk about openness and customer choice is surreal yet here we are.
If you know what I mean...
2016: There is a lot of games on Steam\

Some deluded IGN editor concern trolling over "big" games never coming to Steam again or something.wait..what about every single game that is not Borderlands 3? Or was this a joke tweet.
I was honestly thinking about this tweet earlier. Aged like fucking milk.\

Also, maybe they toned it down or I was really tired yesterday, but she doesnt, uh, bounce.
Its that or the other way around. EPIC entering the market the way they did wound up hurting everyone but Valve. Also, I can't help but wonder if the timing is coincidental or if Epic really did light a fire under Valve and pushed them to reach out to the big publishers.
Well, it was posted on April 1st...Or was this a joke tweet.
You won't be charged until the last Friday of a month, which is the 29th for November. You can cancel anytime from now till November 29th to avoid being charged.I need some clarification, if anyone knows.
I subbed to Humble Monthly past week to grab spyro and crash and I don't really want to be subbed anymore, can I wait until the 1st to see whats the new games are or they will charge me and its better to cancel now? Thanks in advance.
You can cancel now and still get everything that gets revealed on Friday.I need some clarification, if anyone knows.

I have it on the PS3.Id be down for Splatterhouse, that game was awesome on 360
"Since the time we removed our games from Steam, there's been this dramatic increase in the number of gaming services, which you would think would be really good for players. But I think in many cases, it's the exact opposite. It creates more difficulty for players, and providing player choice -- from my perspective and speaking on behalf of EA -- is really critical. It's an opportunity to make it possible for people to play where they want, to reduce that fragmentation and make it more frictionless... Reducing that fragmentation is really important. It's the most player-first thing we can do."
Once you unlock most moves, and start pulling combos and brutal moves left and right, I personally found the game a lot of fun.I have it on the PS3.
Its....... Well...... It works. Its mediocore but it works.
Is it possible for someone to gift it to someone else at that discount?Has anyone posted about this launching yet?
I got a 66% or 67% for owning the previous editions of the games.
Yes it does, like he can't help but misrepresent reality while also patting himself on the back. That's a better response than I was expecting.
"new multi-store world" is still pretty cringy.
Was this ever on pc before? i had always had an interest in it but didn't have any consoles at the time it droppedjkm23 said:I have it on the PS3.

Classic splatterhouse games are unlockable on the DISK!!! So that's a plus.
In PS3/360/Wii generation news, I got House of the Dead Overkill: Extended Cut today from my local "evil game corp". It was $10, compared to the $20-25 I've seen online and elsewhere in person. I <3 the house of the dead games, I've got 3,4 and now this on my PS3.
No, unfortunately it never was.Was this ever on pc before? i had always had an interest in it but didn't have any consoles at the time it dropped
I don't believe so. I ended up buying it, and I no longer see the discount. Is it possible for someone to gift it to someone else at that discount?
Damn, oh well, there goes that idea.I don't believe so. I ended up buying it, and I no longer see the discount.
No PC release. I strictly buy console only (PS/360/Wii) games for my PS3 and that's how I came to the new Splatterhouse game like two and a half years ago.No, unfortunately it never was.
And since my X360 broke down, I'm hoping the game will finally be released on PC, so I get to play it again.
I periodically "hassle" Bandai Namco about a PC port.
It's a great tribute package to the series, since it includes a new game (that references bits and pieces of the older games), and ports of the 3 previous "main" games in the series.

It's EA so the real reason is money and that they got a good deal from Gaben. But I'll take it, no reason to not rub it into a few faces. Like Tim's.This quote from the gamesindustry.biz article is amazing:
We don't really know if they got a deal in the sense EGS does deals though, people just attempt to normalize the latter by pretending there can be no reason other than that for the former (even though it's still not any kind of exclusivity or don't-release-there deal in that case anyway). Just so they can say, the next time someone is disgruntled about an exclusive, that hey, Valve/Steam does it too (again, even though it's a wholly different scenario). It could be just EA wanting to go back because Origin just hasn't been as good as they hoped so they'd rather potentially lose on that 30% for the additional volume of sales. Maybe they also feel that anyone who was going to be buying things on Origin by now will still do that after this so they only stand to gain, not lose. Maybe the deal was working with Valve to integrate the client/ea access/friend lists in a better way than they could by just releasing things as before. Who knows? I mean, GOG Connect (or whatever other stuff) probably has to get some cooperation from Valve too, gog just didn't go all "unprecedented partnership" over it.It's EA so the real reason is money and that they got a good deal from Gaben. But I'll take it, no reason to not rub it into a few faces. Like Tim's.
I don't really like a lot of what Humble is doing lately but... they didn't? I think something might be up with your browser, all that stuff is still not just at the top but like anchored to the top as you scroll.Fucking Humble can go fuck off. Pissed me off with the worlds largest search bar across the top of the page and seemingly nowhere to login to my account or look at different segments of the site.
Five minutes of messing about later I see all the stuff I use when I go to the site at the bottom of the page. Which in my case was off the bottom of my Desktop so I didn't see it. Who the fuck re-designs their page so that all the useful common stuff to click is at the bottom of the page.
I'll tell those fools that EA explicitly didn't rule out to go to other stores, they're just not considering it now and they didn't cut out any other store on which they were before (Ubi did), so it's obviously not a classic exclusive moneyhat and not comparable. Valve isn't paying EA but I bet my ass Gaben did some work behind the scenes, maybe lowered the cut or made some other concessions to make EA happy. We don't really know if they got a deal in the sense EGS does deals though, people just attempt to normalize the latter by pretending there can be no reason other than that for the former (even though it's still not any kind of exclusivity or don't-release-there deal in that case anyway). Not sure, I do have a bar that follows with scrolling at the top but the account/bundles/store/etc bar is definitely stuck to the bottom of Chrome and also disappears when scrolling. It was fine yesterday and I'm not going to reset Chrome for this. Just about all my extensions are off etc. so no idea whats happened or if it's on my end or Humbles.I don't really like a lot of what Humble is doing lately but... they didn't? God, he's such an insufferable fucking prick. We've had a "multi-store world" for years now. He's the one locking games down with garbage exclusivity deals. Trying to somehow take credit for a status quo you're actively working against is some Trump-level insanity...
Something is up, at the bottom of mine is the typical links to social stuff. I have a bar at top that stays with a small search bar and a small drop down menu where you log in.Not sure, I do have a bar that follows with scrolling at the top but the account/bundles/store/etc bar is definitely stuck to the bottom of Chrome and also disappears when scrolling. It was fine yesterday and I'm not going to reset Chrome for this. Just about all my extensions are off etc. so no idea whats happened or if it's on my end or Humbles.
Besides, I was just venting. Shadow of the Tomb Raider has been infuriating me all afternoon and evening with its constant taking over and moving the camera around. Which drives me up the wall.
That is basically what he does, he tries to make everything about himself.God, he's such an insufferable fucking prick. We've had a "multi-store world" for years now. He's the one locking games down with garbage exclusivity deals. Trying to somehow take credit for a status quo you're actively working against is some Trump-level insanity...
This is nothing "new" coming from KT, remember that Musou game that people thought was "censored" because the N/S version had jiggle PhysX but the PS4 version didn't. Then they tested the PC version and it was the same for that one. People capped the PC version to 30fps and guess what you see boobs acting differentPhysics are broken if you go above 30fps

Nice, that article specifically mentions Unravel 2 on Steam "in the coming months".This quote from the gamesindustry.biz article is amazing:
As soon as you said this, I went to look and see they've opted not to do early access because of "story spoilers."Okay so the new Jedi game will require you to install Origin.
I plan to use Origin Premium and play the game a week early, if I like the game and I think it's good I might even pre-order the game and get the extra stuff.
They have a parent company, maybe they sold them off or something.So... What's happening at Kotaku ?
