Lets take a look at some RPGs this time in "Discoveries in Discovery Queue"!

Damascus

Pixel-art MMORPG, taking heavy inspiration from Runescape. Expect tons of grinding in a relaxed way.

Damascus is set in a post apocalyptic fantasy future where the destruction of the past has knocked society into a medieval state of living. Many creatures have gained sentience in this timeline leading to the rise of frogman, catsons, owlpeople and many other races. Over time humans have developed psychic abilities that they can invoke with the use of mechanical psychic actuators, these psychic abilities allow them to summon fire or teleport to new locations among many other powers. The destruction of this world was caused by Dark Gods of sacrifice known as the Gods of Destruction, the player can sacrifice items to these entities in order to receive powerful boons from them. The apocalypse was thousands of years in the past and many of those living today have very little to no knowledge of the events that transpired or the fact that there even was an apocalypse.
Death Tales

Beautiful 2D action rpg similar to Dust. A bit janky combat but otherwise good.

Embark on an adventure as a new Reaper who has gone rogue! Collect equipment and spells, learn powerful attacks against hordes of enemies, complete quests for a cast of quirky characters, and make difficult choices in this grim yet richly illustrated 2D world. Play alone or with a friend in local co-op and serve Death together!
Dunrog

First person dungeon crawler with nice voxel-like graphics.

You are one of the first, who felt it. A strange vibration, from very far away. In this moment,
a world you have known for ages, starts felling apart.
Your fate is to stop that.
Each soul has three independent layers. Bounding every part of it gives you control over any being. One layer of your soul was bound by evil Generator.
Chase the mage and force him to lift the spell.
Travel through mysterious portals to dangerous locations, face monsters, collect souls for the tower, reach the other dimension of reality and stop him from completing his evil plan.
The Feud: Wild West Tactics

Its like X-Com but on a Western. You can create your own "empire" and army.

Feud: Wild West Tactics is a turn based game all about gun blazing, shotgun blasting, knife stabbing and dynamite throwing action in the Wild West. Centered on the famous Hatfield and McCoy feud you’ll be able to play special storylines from each side with sets of unique characters, each with a ton of personality and grit! Learning how to use your posse effectively against the dangers of the world is the core of the game. Only the hardiest gunslingers can expect to go the distance and survive!

Not only that, they've been actively cracking down on key trading, even banning accounts. Gift links are useless now because they can decide unilaterally to not send you the key to your email.
So what does this entail? You shouldn't give away humble keys anymore since they might lock your account?
How do they check?

Welp finished Monkey Island 1. I think I enjoyed the early parts on Melee Island(tm) more than Monkey Island but it's a nice comfy ride all the same.
Have an album of all 100 screenshots I lazily took while I played through it
Wait, you've not played Monkey Island before? Not to judge, I havent played many games considered classic. Do you have any further comment on how you liked it? Its always interesting when someone plays such an old, revered game "fresh".

And I agree with you, I also liked the Melee Island parts.. but not the sword-fighting. I know its iconic, but I just find it a bit of tedious timesink after a few fights.

For some reason Ben 10: Power Trip release day was changed, it was supposed to be released today and now it will be released tomorrow.

How's the campaign?
Campaign mode is meaty with a lot of depth. It's spread across 5 tiers (Open, Clubman, Professional, Elite, Masters), each with 10+ multi-stage runs (4, 6, 8, 10, 12 respectively). Between stages you can repair your car, switch out tires and tune parts accordingly, each of which adds to your overall time, inviting risk/reward planning. Also of interest is track degradation relative to your standings. If you're at the top of the rankings, you'll be among the first on the stage with clean stretches of road. However if you fall behind, others will go before you and the track conditions will deteriorate with huge ruts in the surface making the track more challenging and dangerous. You use points earned in Career to purchase new vehicles, car upgrade parts and train your crew.

There's also Daily & Weekly Challenges as well as the super-cool Historic Championship mode that takes you from the 60's to present-day.

Plenty to keep you busy for a good long while.

I like the quirky humor of it, but once you know hot to finish up some sections, the ones that had the more fun dialog go past so fast :S

I'm sorry for my lack presence during the previous days.

Regarding Baldur's Gate 3 regional pricing I asked Larian's Director of Publishing to please use Valve suggested regional pricing for BG3 as Divinity 2 had a few "red text" pieces already. I guess my humble petition was fruitless, even counter-productive perhaps?, as I saw BG3 regional pricing on previous posts.

We've gone through from "Divinity 2" (left) to "Baldur's Gate 3" (right) like this:

<=>

I'm honestly not surprise given the facts I knew about their somehow unfair regional pricing for Divinity 2.
On the other hand Baldur's Gate 3 is just outrageous unfair and makes people wonder about the purpose of having regional pricing like this.

I mean, I can share and understand the point of its existance when it is used as it should be (you don't treat all regions with the same economic system approach), however when it is treated unjustly it makes its existance pointless.

Since we're talking about regional pricing, for some reason, MS increased Gears 5 price here in Argentina last week, the original price was already awful, but now the game is cheaper in the US than here.

Fuck them.

I’m not sure if it was mentioned or how widespread it is but Daedalic Entertainment jacked up their regional pricing here a few weeks ago and they’re tied with EA for the shit crown of worst regional pricing now.

Thank god they put their games in Humble Choice frequently so I can avoid that awful pricing.

Does anyone is having issues trying to buy on Steam? I already called my bank and they haven't blocked my card. 😔

Regarding regiona pricing I still believe that many are paying the sins of a few which is really sad and unjust but its again the world we live on.

I mean, when there's people promoting/exploiting/bypassing regional prices on every possible third party store (cd-keys), consecuenques are obviously bound to happen.
I can name a few but it won't matter at all. My point is, there's 2 big issues from a consumer and developer perspective on place.

As a consumer, we see unfair regional pricing like on Baldur's Gate 3 or worst cases like lashman pointed out on the medium game (ARG country heavily targeted/punished)
As a developer (I'm not but I could see it) consumers from rich countries decide to "take a trip" to cheaper countries to buy cd-keys and often resell them on grey market sites. On toip of that, steam groups promoting this kind of practices openly and profiting either by referrals and/or the above grey market places economy.

How do you fix a system like that?
Valve won't enforce a just regional pricing and won't be the police on the Steam platform. I as user have lost any little hope I had on a possible solution.

Also, did anything happen on CSGO in Asia?

So, are you saying Steam should remove regional pricing or just that devs/publishers should stop gouging with it?

My diving into free/low cost horror games has been the most 'back to basics' gaming enjoyment I've had in awhile. Feels like a safe harbor from angry fanbois, angry forums, people screaming at each other over crunch. (I will say this, Crunch sucks but not one fucking person should feel an ounce of moral superiority over boycotting a game over it. Slave labor, the brutal lives of truckers and amazon workers dying of covid say fucking hello)

Lotta noise these days.

The latter if it were possible but as I said I've lost my hopes on that as well.
Is it possible? Yes.
It is probably? Not with the current trend which targets specific regions on purpose.

Just wasn't sure based on the initial comment. Yeah i'd love to see publishers actually use the 'treat regions properly', but capitalist corporations gonna capitalize. If an entire region had zero sales, and i mean zero - no preorders, no sales and then returns, absolutely nothing - because of the shitty price increases from the USD base, then someone might notice. Until then, they'll take the sales they can get and publicly lament the games sales for whatever reason and/or drive devs harder. The blame can't be on pricing it's either consumers or devs fault.

My Steam account got compromised. I removed my phone number from Steam guard a while back because I changed cellphone companies, and didn't get around to changing it back. Figured they must have done it through my email or something. It's an old ISP specific email, but I've used it on a couple of other sites (changed passwords already). Now to wait for support.

If you see me out there don't accept trade request :p
