I'm more interested in knowing if they'll do regional pricing or follow that bs one price flat across the globe crap.

Fuck, Persona 5 leaving game pass, I always intended to go back to it, I had like 50% finished. Not too eager to restart. Any way to transfer Xbox save to pc/steamdeck?
Why would you play such a long game on game pass? I understand these 2-20 hour games, but anylonger than that....eh.

To make the Sonic Superstars situation even more annoying, saw an user saying that it doesn't even remember that an user has logged in, so even if they login once, next time they boot up the game it'll ask again to login.
Just tried it myself, for me it did remember the login, so maybe it was just an issue that user had in the community hub, dunno.

That's the biggest reason why i don't like and use subscription. When i "own" something i can play it whenever i want and however i want without fear that it will leave service or that my subscription will expire.

Real glad I bought P5R on Steam not too long after it came out. Started on Gamepass and got fed up with the constant errors that would appear if you were playing through Gamepass.

The first minute of the video is great. :toucan:

How about we just question bad practices without questioning people's taste in games franchises? :/
EDIT: Ah, didn't pick up on the joke. xd
The fact that a 5800X3D can keep up or beat the 14700K in most benchmarks. The 7800X3D pulling not even half of the wattage of the 14700K. This is a terrible refresh....

Man, replaying God of War 2018 on PC is such a treat. 120 fps locked looks magnificent and the visuals hold up super well. I can't wait for Ragnarok to get ported.
Did that too before the Ragnarok release, then played Ragnarok on PS4 and after that i thought i was good... but reading your comment just now a year later made me realize that i 100% will replay Ragnarok on PC too. Combat in the first one with high fps just felt so right to play.

Is supposed if I bought the ultimate edition on PS5, just buying the standard edition on Steam is enough, since it's cross platform progress, right´?

Everything on Overwatch carried over to Steam so yeah I assume so. I saw someone mention they bought Ultimate on PS5 and Standard on PC and it crossed over.
Confirmed!!! Everything from PS5 carried over Steam.
This is how always should be. I'm very tired buying two versions of games without benefits, No cross progress for SF6 nor Forza Horizon 5 (this one is cross progress with Windows Store version but not with Steam version) and buy two times everything is totally shit.
Kudos for Blizzard.
Being able to play Diablo franchise on Steam is unbelievable, and something nice is battle net launcher is not installed (at least at least visibly).
If account systems is something mandatory (capcom, microsoft, battlenet, disney, bethesda, etc...) Cross plaftorm progress should be too.

The only issue I have with the steam deck is that I find that most of the games, even verified ones, are thought with higher resolution in mind, and the UI usually shrink too. Like, Thronebreaker it's unreadable almost. I know there's a magnifing option, but it's not really ideal.
For retrogaming is top notch though, since the resolution and screen were usually lower and the UI was done with that in mind

Random thoughts time.

So in a year where Unity well and truly screwed the pooch Epic still come out of it looking like the bigger bastards. It seems to have been a year that started with Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast determined to screw over creatives and customers alike, then the gaming industry just saying "Hold My Beer". In a year when we have had some truly great games the industry itself has tried to remind us how scummy they can be.

Partway through Act 3 of Baldurs Gate 3 (on the bridge outside of Baldurs Gate) and still my Game of the Year. I will say, after playing something like 130 hrs, and with some technical hitches here and there I can finally understand why people can be so forgiving of Fromsoft and their technical issues. CRPG's are great.

Going back to Epic and their whole Bandcamp fuckery leads me to believe that all they have done is helped Apple/Google/Spotify in the long run. If Bandcamp can't survive this then many indie bands may have to actually consider making deals with those streaming services. So good job Timmy.

After 2,550 hours I think I am going to commit myself and say that FFXIV is a very good game. Has one of my favourite stories in a game. Plus a great soundtrack.

Next volume of Laid Back Camp is out so I think I am going to have a read of that before bed.

This is one of the reasons subscription services aren't for me. Fuck having a deadline to finish my games, especially because RPG is my most played genre.
On the other side of the coin, it's been pretty great for someone like me that likes shortish single player experience or one and done games. Saved me a lot of money playing one off games like Rats of Us 2, Atomic Heart, Cocoon, High on Life, Lies of P, Signalis, Somerville, and now Dead Space Remake and Jusant.

Although I'm pretty bias heavily because of their regional pricing. It's like $3/month here.

It's not an issue of being with "high resolution" in mind. It's just a lack of proper accessibility options. Even with high res, there will be people who will have trouble reading small fonts. I can understand that small indie devs can't focus on this, but on the other hand, this isn't a super expensive feature, like cutting edge graphics. It just requires some forward thinking when you start developing. Of course it's annoying to bring it into a game after the fact, that's how software development works: doing things early is dirt-cheap, doing things very late is nigh unaffordable.

I hope the popularity of the Steam Deck and other portables can lead to a change in thinking here for the PC space. It's a double shame when so many of those games have Switch ports with decent UIs for small screens, and yet give no such options for people on PC. It's really an awareness problem.

Here's another "Hold the fuck up"

Somehow my dwarves dug out a room that should be impossible to access. That one door (Where I intend to put the pump for irrigation for my near-future farm) leads directly out in 7/7 river water at the bottom of a 20-z ravine.

Supposedly, GameStop now has demo units of Steam Decks in store. The main take away, seems to be that these Steam Decks are GameStop refurbished units?

Who owns the Battletech IP? Because that's basically what I want from HBS, more Battletech!
Microsoft actually owns the rights to make electronic games of Battletech (yes I worded it that way on purpose, the rights of who owns Battletech the IP is pretty complicated). They got it YEARS ago when the bought FASA Interactive. They did license it to HBS to make Battletech the game, I would think they would jump at the chance to do so again. Pretty sure Battletech did decently well considering it Kickstarted for around $3million, put out several (awesome, paid) DLCs, and was well reviewed.

It has several extremely awesome mods for it that are still active to my knowledge. If Microsoft wants to keep winning hearts and minds and distract people from the more monopolistic tendencies they have, they would be well advised to let HBS cook up a Battletech 2 and go buck wild with it. Even if they keep the scale down to what Battletech 1 was, it would still be awesome. One of the best Strategy games in years, has a devoted cult following and was made the by the guy who invented the tabletop game. Assuming Jordan Wiesmann wants to go for it, it seems like a slam dunk to me.

I'd obviously buy it. I feel like lots of other Battletech fans would too.

Downunder.
I actually ended up timing/QC'ing and occasionally typesetting hundreds of anime fansubs from 2007 to 2012-ish, until CR started doing like half of the seasonal shows and I realized that there wasn't much of a point trying to compete with them.
I need to retime the subtitles of about 50 anime episodes. Do you have a command line tool recommendation that I can use in a shell script to do this? It's been years since I've used Aegisub, but I don't want to use it for this kind of task either.

I prefer a linux binary, but I suppose I can use Windows-based tool too if need be.

I use Subtitle Edit.
If the offset for each episode is the same, you can use the function "batch convert" to retime everything in a couple of clicks (the option you need to select is called "offset time codes").
