I've actually had a friend say they weren't that keen on how quickly games loaded on my PC as they liked to read the tips and look at the images, lol
They weren't ranting or anything just mentioned it. I changed the HDD on my PS4 on launch day to a 7200rpm drive and have had friends say similar things when around my house. lol

I'm not sure the console guys are ready for SSD yet, there again there's going to be similar load times as today for all the assets required for games to run at 4k/60... :ROFLMAO:

Borderlands 2.5
Place your bets now on who throws who under the bus. Will it be Tim saying that Gearbox supplied this shit to us and it has nothing to do with the perfection known as EGS or will it be Randy saying Epics infrastructure is awful and it fucked the perfection known as BL3.

This video is an eye opener for console players.

About what I expected from the game. I enjoyed 2 well enough but it outstayed its welcome and I never went back to replay it for long or do long expansions.

3 seemed like even more of the same with slightly upgraded polycounts and overall visuals. No exciting new gameplay feel or possibilities as far as I saw.

I just didn't expect the media to think so too, I thought it was sure to get great scores regardless.

Oh well, it will probably sell on hype alone and in that case both Gearbox and Tim will talk positively of it and how reviews are just opinions money trumps.

Maybe me thinking this, it won't happen either and it'll go like you guys think, that would be funny.

Oh, it will get great scores regardless.
I mean, these are an exception. They are already getting great scores. I've seen plenty of 9's (IGN, Destructoid, ...):

Like I saw GTA IV, one of the most boring games I remember playing, getting 10's all around.
That's why I can't possibly take the reviews on these websites seriously. When websites full of ads for a certain game post a review for said game, and use all sorts of superlatives, I can't possibly believe one thing is disconnected from the other. They read more like PR statements than reviews.

I've already read some hilarious reactions to that PC Gamer review though.
Everything from "the reviewer obviously has a grudge against the series", to my favourite one: "the reviewer only played 35 hours; everyone knows that's nothing in Borderlands, he clearly didn't reach all the fun stuff that comes after that".
Some people...

Reading through some of the BL3 reviews and it seems to be more of the same. I'm surprised they kept it so safe. Seems like a solid 8/10.

The year is coming to an end soon and I wonder what game will win GOTY. I thought earlier BL3 will take it easily but now not sure anymore.

Sekiro and RE2 are the only 90+ meta AAA games this year heh.

Assuming Death Stranding also gets a 90+ it may be a triple threat between 3 Japanese developers to see who takes the GOTY crown :D

I guess the new Zelda remake or Pokemon could be in the mix too. This is gonna go down as an incredible year for Japan :D

Yea reviews dont really mean too much to me for known games. After seeing Crackdown 3 reviews and playing Crackdown 3, I know that what reviewers and I care about are a lot different.

Well, some media is a slow burn so you do need to spend time with it, getting comfy before it goes batshit but Borderlands? Come on, 30 minutes in and you get what the game is about. lol

35 hours of Borderlands 3 would give you a damn good idea about the game.

35 hours, all side-quests and give or take 5 hours of endgame !
This review was clearly rushed :pleasedblob:

Has anyone used New Retro Arcade: Neon in the past, and went to the trouble of configuring everything, adding roms, videos, ... ?

Giant Bomb played Unrailed (badly i might add) on Friday's UPF and it looked a bit manic to me as there was ALWAYS something to do and even on "Easy" there doesn't seem to be any downtime or thinking space. I imagine that's to keep up the communication between players as you do need to coordinate with each other quite a bit.

Not my bag but i know there's people who will love it.

How is GTAV still in steams top selling charts, does that include in game purchases? Who are all these people buying GTAV in 2019. (Playing it is fine but I find it odd that it somehow keeps on selling an abundance of new copies at this stage)

People who got banned on online and new PC gamers?

It's not like the number of PC gamers is static.

It's just for GTA online, although yeah that probably does include in-game purchases. GTAO is such a cash cow for them that it would literally be a waste of money for them to put resources into developing more single player content.

I know but think about how many copies continually need to be sold to stay in the top sellers. I find it interesting is all.

I think i'm the only person in the world who doesn't own GTAV on any platform at this point in time.
I'm not that keen on how it plays but damn if it doesn't generate a ton of cash for Rockstar's managers and shareholders.
I dont either ;P I played a bit of my brothers console version but I prefer the more arcadey open world games like Saints Row and Crackdown. Dont get me wrong, GTAV is an amazing feat and a great game but I just found the gameplay a bit boring for my tastes.

I don't own a single GTA game.
