Same here. I hate using eBay for various reasons, and selling it in person is sketchy in a different sort of way. I think if it was easier to actually sell it, I would have done it already. :crying-face:
I'll never use ebay or similar services again. I did it once and it was a pain in the ass.

took me 43 hours – for the last 10 hours or so, I played on the easiest mode because the combat got so tedious...
I finished Chapter 5 after 45h XD

Also I noticed that indie devs now basically don't complain about 30% Valve cut and many of those indie devs promote their games as Steam Deck Verified/Playable. How things change in just a few years.

An hour or so into Return of Monkey Island and this already feels like a perfect follow up to Monkey Island series. It is actually a sequel to 3, since it takes over at least one pretty important plot point from it (the marriage of Elaine and Guybrush)

I'm only 3 chapters into the first one and it's already up there with Yakuza 0 in terms of story. It's great to hear that there isn't a drop in quality for the second game because none of the Yakuza games up to 3 so far have come remotely close to Yakuza 0 as far as story goes.
Despite being a prequel, Yakuza 0 was developed between 5 and 6, so I guess it makes sense the dev team took lessons from the previous games?
(Kiwami and Kiwami 2, despite being remakes, they're still based on PS2 games).

Seems like 6 and 7 are well received story wise like 0 (though I still haven't played any of them).

He also stated that the code used to develop Bloodborne is “problematic” in a way that Sony wouldn’t be able to assign a remaster or PC port to any other studio without FromSoftware working on it.
Send us the code, we'll send you a quote.

Also, I'm physically at a conference for the first time in years and I'm drunk already.

its a discord image, maybe you got that blocked? there should be a photo there.
I don't think so and I've tried different browsers so I don't think it's an extension doing it either. Someone was kind enough to DM me a direct link and even that didn't work. Clicking directly just opens an empty tab and this happens if I try to save the file locally

Not sure what's up lol.

I'm gonna keep it real with you mate, your coders are SHIT, and the people demands Bloodborne on PC. Give me 500k bucks and you'll get yourself a port in two months hic

Finished Lost Judgement.

Easily the best story in the entire series hands down and the ending song SLAPS
Much as I love the series I honestly struggle to follow a lot of what's going on in most of the Yakuza games, especially when there were lots of factions involved and I'm struggling to remember the relationships between clans and their members. I would get the gist of whats going on but little more.

Both Judgement titles I found much much easier to follow, get to know the characters and thus get more out of the stories.

dualsense is such a garbage controller, bought mine a few months back and it's drifting
Same here, DS5 is poop. I bought mine for FFXIV on PC. Wanted to take advantage of the new features and rumbles they added. But I've never had a controller shit the bed so fast.

I didn't even know isopropyl alcohol can destroy old plastic. I used it on a gameboy color lens and it just cracked. :(

Guess I need to order a few aftermarket replacements from ebay.
Be careful putting Alcohol on many such things. Not just plastics, but rubber and silicone also. The alcohol dries it out and than it starts to crack and crumble.

It's really only good for cleaning unpainted metal, glass and small wounds.

Only a week to go until the release of Trails from Zero. The OT should be up by next Monday. :keikaku_doori:
Every few months I get intense FOMO for the Trails series, but it's just so daunting. I have tried Cold Steel 1 before and definitely liked it, but I am still intimidated by the sheer hour count. :crying-face:

The time investment is rather high, for sure. Especially when you have the need to see all the dialogue variations that NPCs has. But fortunately, all Trails games are equipped with Turbo mode, and there's hardly any need to grind (unless you're aiming for a completionist run; collecting the bestiary entries for the rare monsters sometimes require a few sweeps, depending on RNG).

I'd still recommend starting with Trails in the Sky rather than Cold Steel, though. The games are shorter compared to Cold Steel, and you'll appreciate the character developments and lore much better as you progress through the series.

Regarding Sony etc;

my thinking is that Sony likely just wants to stagger releases to maximise profits. When they give every title time, they can gain a wider audience, sell more. So they are best advised not release everything (or too much) close together, even if those games are already done.
I bet they also want to make sure that the PC ports are up to standards, I cant imagine they didnt see Steam reviews and forums posts lamenting bad performance (not just on HZD, also on other AAA titles with rocky starts).
If they do it right they gain a good reputation on PC and sell more; if they rush the titles out, they'll just shoot themselves in the foot.

It IS weird that prudis' photo isnt showing for some. I thought it was cute as it had a personal note to toxicitizen, even :) must be something to do with discord content hosting.

Spoiler-free Monkey Island impressions:

I also started Monkey Island last night, and so far I like it! I still dont like the art style, but can tolerate it to some degree (some characters more than others), but the humor/writing is great so far. To my liking it feels a bit too much banking on nostalgia and walking down memory lane at times and I hope it will go different paths soon after the beginning hours.
A funny "adventure game thing" happened: I went to sleep having gotten stuck on a puzzle, and woke up with the solution. :D

Sony can stagger their releases as much as they want but sale numbers won't go up. People are not stupid, they can see prices of games on PlayStation and on PC and see that they are getting ripped off. Uncharted Collection is latest example, 50€ on PC (it is kinda ok price for 2 games) but it was 30€ or less on PS5 already. People wouldn't question that with simultaneous release. And many multiplatform releases proved over and over again that PC rarely impacts console sales if ever.

And we will see proof of this with Uncharted and TLoU Part 1 when it comes to PC, they won't break records with concurrent players on Steam just like Spider-Man didn't.

sure sure, but to be clear, I was just generally speaking about release schedule of their PC releases and why I think they dont release more. I didnt consider pricing or console releases/sales at all :)

to put it another way: they could probably release on PS5 and PC at the same date and it wouldnt matter -- but releasing several games on PC at once or very close to another makes less sense, in my opinion.

CCU isn't everything, so far Spider-Man has been featured for 9 consecutive weeks at the weekly top 10 while GOW (which holds the CCU sony peak) was featured for 4 consecutive weeks. even if CCU ain't beaten, that doesn't mean is doing poorly, on the contrary, Spider-Man is beating the hell out of Kratos in terms of sales most likely.

Looking for a little help in finding a game.

I have this on my iPad. Great little game and allows me to create my own Jigsaw Puzzles from images on the iPad.

However I am looking for a jigsaw game on the PC. None of the anime/hentai ones. Something that will allow me to create my own Jigsaws at varying sizes.

I am in old man gaming mode and it is something to play while watching YouTube.

That depends on games released at given time. Steam top seller chart is revenue based so Spider-Man already has leed there. Spider-Man was released in quiet period while GoW was released month before Elden Ring for example. And sure Sony games will sell in the long run but in my opinion IP like Spider-Man getting "beaten" by way smaller IPs in terms of day 1 numbers show certain issues. And big issue among those is in my opinion pricing compared to console counterpart and time between console and PC release.

I'm gutted. I thought my Steam Deck would be ready by November or something so I'd have a chance to save for it. Got the email today and I don't have the money for it :cryingwhyblob:
This is not aimed to you specifically, it is just general advice to you and everyone else. Never count on money you don't have in front of you/in bank. That is something I learned over the years by ending few times in more embarrassing than critical situations. Since then I am ordering nothing until I have money for it.

Bonus advice invest as much money and time in things as you are ready to lose :D

dex3108 A little different with the deck, since the preorder fee was only 4 euro, might as well preorder in case it gets sorted, you even get back your 4 euro if you can't order it when the time comes.
I know but I had money put aside for Deck as soon as I told friend in US to put pre-order for it, year before friend got a mail (including shipping costs and taxes). I didn't want to come in situation to get disappointed because I can't pay for it.

That is what I am doing for a long time now. Sometimes that means waiting a bit more to collect money but in the end it works better than other way around :D
