We even get patches years after console
Well I guess they had to give PC players something until GTA VI comes out somewhere around 2030 XD
That wouldn't have happened if they made a TB combat game!
150GB? Mother of god
Meanwhile, the best gaming CPU atm:Intel's next set of CPU's are set to push 200+ Wats again. Up to 260W when the "turbo" kicks on.
Even mid-tier PC's will be sucking down 600Wats when gaming soon. My air conditioner sips less power even at full blast.
this is the thing that gets me most. AMD is outperforming top-tier Intel at a 3rd of the power consumption right now. And probably even more dramatic in the near future. WTF is Intel R&D doing to lose the perf charts despite having SO much more power??Meanwhile, the best gaming CPU atm:

AMD repeating what ATI did with the Radeon HD 4850 and HD 4870 would be nice, GPUs that were competitive with NVidia at a much lower price and lower power consumption, they forced NVidia to drop the MSRP of the GTX 260 from $400 to $270 and of the GTX 280 from $650 to $430 in just 3 months, but this is just so very unlikely to happen again. x-xWe need AMD to do this with GPUs too
yeah the 4090 is amazing but it's draining the national grid
An ATI Sapphire 4850 was my first self-bought GPU, I was able to save up my allowance as a teenager and some bday money to get a GPU back then. I loved that thing.AMD repeating what ATI did with the Radeon HD 4850 and HD 4870 would be nice, GPUs that were competitive with NVidia at a much lower price and lower power consumption, they forced NVidia to drop the MSRP of the GTX 260 from $400 to $270 and of the GTX 280 from $650 to $430 in just 3 months, but this is just so very unlikely to happen again. x-x
Same, I had a Sapphire HD 4850 and the HD 6850 later on, both really nice GPUs, but after those I switched to NVidia starting with the GTX 1060.An ATI Sapphire 4850 was my first self-bought GPU, I was able to save up my allowance as a teenager and some bday money to get a GPU back then. Back then never did i expect the GPU market to shake out like it has.
that SSD belongs to Square Enix now. You may have it back once you are done with the game, maybe.

Upon uninstalling the game the SSD will be rewritten a trillion times until it spontaneusly combusts.that SSD belongs to Square Enix now. You may have it back once you are done with the game, maybe.
As far as I know Gabe doesn't have any public social media accounts.
Immortal Gaben. Imagine. (It's not the real Gabe is it?)
Buy all Middleware, offer it for free to make everyone move to it, after few years start charging for it, profit.Epic Games will no longer offer the Quixel Megascans library for free starting next year.
A big reason a lot of people started using Unreal Engine is for the free library. Now each Megascan asset will be a separate payment.
The only social media account I know Gabe has is a Reddit account that has been dormant for over three years. As far as I know Gabe doesn't have any public social media accounts.
Which honestly is probably for the best, being a billionaire I'm sure he has a few standard thoughts and opinions on things that you would expect from a billionaire. Probably a much better thing for him to just occasionally respond to emails or do the occasional interview unlike Tim Sweeney.
Funny because I have a 1TB M2 with just FFXIV + Mods, FFXV + mods and fixes, and now FFXVI and it's almost full with just those 3 games.that SSD belongs to Square Enix now. You may have it back once you are done with the game, maybe.
Yup. Classic scumbag move. And what was predicted started happening

I know there was the one game quoted in the article and of the top of my head other examples are escaping meAny examples (other than Alan Wake 2)? I know Alan Wake 2 always has some AA that's being applied, their engine is built around this, but you can set it to DLAA, at which point there quite literally is no upscaling involved at all. And even there, the tech (at least DLSS) is so good that I don't understand why you would even care about what size the internal framebuffer is.
What are your PC specs? The FFXVI Port seems really bad to me.
I'm getting between 25 to 40FPS (depending on the environment).
What settings you ask?
All Settings!
Low Quality to Ultra Quality, DLSS on or OFF, Dynamic Resolution ON or OFF.
Seems like none of it has any impact on performance whatsoever
€: Getting about 5-10FPS more after updating the games DLSS files at least
By any chance are you gettins weird frame pacing /stuttering(?) on in-game cinematics? gameplay seems to be ok but all the sudden in-game cinematics behave weirdly with frame pacing and I'm not sure what's the deal with that lolThe FFXVI Port seems really bad to me.

Yea, restarted and tried a whole lot of things, i guess i can try the steam overlay tooWhat are your PC specs?
Also, try rebooting your PC, it may end up not doing anything, but, I've had one game that ran awfully right after installing, and rebooting my PC made it run as it should (though, I don't remember which game it was).
Someone on the steam community hub also said that turning off the steam overlay improved performance for them?
PC gaming can be weird sometimes.

My framerate issues specifically relate to all parts of the game, but i had some stuttering during the opening cutscenes in the tutorial area (that generally run well) too and this helped: GitHub - Lyall/FFXVIFix: A fix for Final Fantasy XVI that adds ultrawide/narrow display support and more.By any chance are you gettins weird frame pacing /stuttering(?) on in-game cinematics? gameplay seems to be ok but all the sudden in-game cinematics behave weirdly with frame pacing and I'm not sure what's the deal with that lol

Immortal Gaben
Tried it out just a little bit, Ryzen 7800 X3D and RTX 3060 Ti, at 1440P and DLSS quality, 1st pic is with ultra settings and 2nd with low settings, performance increased a bit but not much (from 48 to 63 fps).Nah, no matter what i can't get it to run actually well.
Just had a cutscene ran at sub 10 FPS just for the next one right after to run at 50FPS.
The Graphical Settings are genuinly pure placebo
No. more differences between a 409o and a 1080, this game achieved equality!Low Quality to Ultra Quality, DLSS on or OFF, Dynamic Resolution ON or OFF.

Heck yes!
