Yeah, no, get out of there asap (not sure if you can right now), I'm sure MS gets some use out of the telemetry data of f'd systems but why bother if you aren't writing bug reports and aren't really testing it? Even I (an expert!1) usually ain't touching the Windows Insider program with my main OS.
Absolutely.
FWIW, currently I'd benefit significantly from going on the fast ring (since WSL2 would be very useful), but there's absolutely no way I'm doing that on any system that's even remotely important.

I will admit to not really having a taste for Quadbock beers or certain Imperial Stouts, just because calorie content. I am ok with smoked beers as a whole, my bro brought a couple of smoked beers from Germany over a few weeks ago.
Smoked beer is the only type I've had that I haven't liked :disappointed-face:

Yeah, I turned it off but it still wants to download the 1909 insider update (which is different from the one it installed afaict). I just paused updates in the meantime.

I'm buying an NVME in a few days (hoping for a good BF deal) so I might just do a clean install if anything goes wrong.
1909 is what everyone got yesterday and is only a minor update (Service Pack basically), not heard of any issues with it yet.

I like mostly belgian beers. Chimay, Rochefort...

When it comes to red wine, you can't be wrong with St Joseph.

I don't drink often. Maybe one or two times a month, when I see friends around a table. But never alone. And I rather don't drink than drink bad beer or bad wine. I often bring drinks I want to drink at parties because people always get a full stock of shitty beers like Heineken.

I tried American beers like Budweiser but it's awful. When I lived in Brazil I used to drink lot of their cheap soft (less than 3°) beers, but only because it was cheaper than clean water :suicide-blob:

I don't like strong liquors, except fine whiskeys (so no Jack Daniels, of course) after a good meal, but that's about one time a year for occasions. I can't handle champagne, I don't like the taste and it gives me headaches real quick.

I can say it here, because it's not easy to have this relationship with alcohol in France... where you can find local liquors, wine and beers litteraly everywhere.

Maybe I'm not French after all

Its.... a thing... for sure. Its a sipper and my limit is one 12oz (355ml) bottle. Going to a pint is pushing it. It works well when its a heavy, high alcohol beer that's meant to be sipped.

No one is smoking a coors light bc coors lights are for chugging.

That wild ales does it taste like a cherry lambic?

I drink wine, but not beer. I hate the taste of beer. I really want to drink beer, but the taste is terrible.

Ive never been drunk in my life despite that I drink at times (usually at parties), I like to have full control over my body and actions.
I'm with you man, I hate the stuff

Rum though, that's my jam 🤤

The amount of content in ToCS2's is fascinating.
I'm currently trying to finish up my own playthrough, and I got to the "Finale" ~12 in-game hours ago.

And from a game development perspective it's pretty wild how -- after the point at which a sane game would have ended -- it doesn't just throw new dialogue or reused stuff at you, but tons of entirely new maps, what feels like more unique enemy models than the average Tales game, even new playable characters and in one case entirely new mechanics that took quite a bit of dedicated development effort.
Sure, but the the game ends up overstaying its welcome because of all the padding that happens before that.

So separate team from publisher will try to salvage game? Doesn't sound very good to me.
Yeah, the question is if the game is financial viable to continue to support it. how much of Timmy's Bag the publisher got, because they will make no money until the threshold is reached.

X019 hype !
My pc gamepass sub expires on the 20th.

I hope they reveal some good new titles otherwise I don't think I am gonna continue to sub. I don't see any new 1st party stuff from them coming for a while either other than MCC which I will get on steam anyways.

The titles I would love to see personally:

Outer Wilds
Control
DMCV
RE2

Come on Phil...any of those would make me click that recurring billing button for sure :)

If anyone is in the mood for a "janky" first person "Hitman-like" game, The Slater, a one-man effort, in currently 70% off on GMG as a VIP deal:

I admit I only played a little bit since it launched (I really need to play it properly soon), but I liked what I saw, especially considering it's, again, a game done by a single developer, and reviews on Steam seem to match my positive impressions.

So they first fucked over their backers by pulling the promised steamkeys, and then THEY FUCKED THEM EVEN FURTHER by straight up launching a bad game and running away from promised post-launch support?

Don't let it fool you, closing doors and getting mass hired by bethesda individually is a tactical decision to rid themselfs of contractual obligations towards their publisher (as well as potential debt) which they would still have to adhere to if they were simply acquired like a common studio acquisition.

Fuck ass chumps like these ruined kickstarter

You can add the game exe directly to Steam, but remember to close Origin before launching the game from Steam. You may also want to disable the Origin in-game overlay, since it's useless.

Since we are talking about anything but games ( :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes: ), fun fact: I don't drink alcoholic beverages. Nothing. Not even beer.
I have an insane dislike for the smell of alcoholic beverages, that makes me not even want to try them.

At my wedding, I was "forced" to drink a small amount (less than a third of a glass) of champagne, and I had to drink almost a litre of water and coke to wash the taste off my mouth. :giggle:
Same. I only drink Water and Soda. My stomach cannot physically handle alcohol.
Yay! I'm not alone! :blobcheer:

I also have another reason for why I don't drink that I've mentioned in another thread so I won't get into it here, but I'm pretty much all water or tea with some coffee occasionally. Only have a soda once or twice a month and usually with a pizza. :cat-pizza-blob:

Modern shooters are too close to fantasy role-playing games in how they shower you with new weapons from battle to battle, Romero suggests.
This abundance of loot – which reflects how blockbuster games generally have become Netflix-style services, defined by an unrelenting roll-out of “content” – means you spend as much time comparing guns in menus as savouring their capabilities.
It encourages you to think of each gun as essentially disposable, like an obsolete make of smartphone. “The more weapons you throw in there, the more you’re playing an inventory game.”
“For Doom, it was really important that every time you got a new weapon, it never made any previous weapons useless. That was a critical design characteristic. We’re going to add a new thing that can’t negate anything that came before. So how do you get the chaingun and not cancel out the pistol? It’s to do with how much ammo it eats, and how inaccurate it is over distance – the pistol eats less ammo and is extremely accurate at a distance.”

If you will play SW Fallen Order via Origin Premier, you can play it in about 14 hours by connecting to a New Zealand/Australian VPN server.

I personally will use TunnelBear.

Pretty sure it doesn't work on steam anymore.
No, what I mean is that some games have local and global unlock time. If it's local, I shouldn't bother with tinkering with VPN because it'll be only a few hours away from NZ anyway. I with more publishers will give local unlock time like The Outer Worlds, for a recent example.

Steam it use to be that way. I've tried it, a bit with lesser hyped popular game, and it didn't work. OW stuff probably works because MS/EGS don't care enough.

The developer of the Headliner series (and Karaski, and Postmortem: One Must Die) just released a small, free game on Steam:

Remember: a cool thing about the recent Steam updates is that all free games now get added to the library, so you just need to click to play the game, and it's yours.
