After 95 hours I have finally beaten Trails of Cold Steel 3. It is sad that the PC ports are always so delayed because the console versions run like shit. I played ToCS 1 & 2 on the Vita where especially 2 in the later stages ran with single digit FPS. ToCS 3 on PS4 performs way better, but there are still lots of frame drops in the bigger set pieces. Plus I have the other games in the series now on PC (even bought Zero no Kiseki on dlsite.com), so hurry up with the port NISA...

The game itself is amazing though, the culmination of many story threads introduced throughout the series (Liberl and Crossbell Arcs included). The whole game feels like fanservice in a good, the TitS the 3rd way). But don't get me started on that cliffhanger in the end.

Since Iceborne draws near here's a nice dose of anime mods for monster hunter world, crossposting from the mods thread

Tekken 7 just revealed, even though it got leaked through MS Store earlier, Ganryu and notBruceIrving

To be fair though, it's neat to have a native Thai character, though if they'd just changed up how he does his muai thai it would've been nice.

Leeroy is hot hot HOT

I am ready to feel nausea while playing Boneworks!

Don't do this to yourself. Smooth locomotion is terribile if you're not used to it. As much as I'd love to play Boneworks next week, I know that I'm not ready for it so I'll postpone the purchase to a later date.

Yeah, I had that too, on Trails 3rd it was. Guess Valve will fix this at some point

This seems high for basically idling?
Changing from Ryzen high perf plan to Ryzen balanced in power settings helped, but will it affect my gaming performance?
Is it really idling? The 4.1 GHZ implies it's already overclocking a bit, as 3.6 is the default clock and 4.2 the max turbo (IIRC).
It shouldn't affect performance, but if it's 60 even at idle, how hot does it get at load? Being overly hot could reduce it's overall lifetime
I set my Ryzen 3700X to a fixed clock of 3.6, which is more than enough for what I need from it now. If games or emulators ever need more, I could always unlock it

If it doesn't get much cooler at idle, then it might be reacting to something running the background, say if you have Firefox open.
Still, 60 degrees seems fine, honestly. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Are you using the stock cooler?

No mate, using the Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black

I''ve changed power settings to Ryzen balanced too from high performance, with that the CPU was even hotter. Disabled PBO in the BIOS too.

First time playing VR is Boneworks?
No, slowly addapting to locomotion

I can do it for 30-1h before I get annoyed. Heck, i find it more annoying when i put the headset wrong, I have started getting better in Gorn / Compound as long as I fake movement with my body.

Hmm, seems a bit strange then. I use a Noctua NH-U12A, and the thermal pad from Innovation Cooling. On my settings, where I fix the clock to 3.6 I get around 40 degrees on idle,

TIL that Sonic Robo Blast 2 was an early fanmade attempt at making 3D Sonic before Adventure 1

Being a Doom mod.

Yeah it came out in 1998. Its weird playing 2.2 for me because I'm currently staying in the room I was in 15 years ago when I played it for the first time.

This game taught me what modding was because the modding community for this game is huge. There's a massive kart racing mod that's playable online. Its been constantly updated since its release about a year ago and its been getting more and more popular in the past few months. It even has its own dedicated mod community.

60 is definitely too high for idling. For reference my new 3800x with the stock fan/coolant idles at about 35 and hits 50-60~ gaming and I dont think a 3700x, even overclocked a bit, should be running much higher. I'd check and make sure all the fans, CPU and Case, are working properly. Make sure the cables are tied, there's proper airflow throughout the case, etc.

Might even need to swap to the stock CPU fan the ryzen comes with just to make sure that the CPU fan you're using with it is working properly.

This is mine during MMO session + Netflix + Chrome. So yeah yours is really high.

In defense of Boneworks, the store page literally has this:

BONEWORKS Interaction Systems

ATTENTION: This game demonstrates advanced VR mechanics and concepts, players are recommended to have previous VR experience and understanding of common VR gameplay principles before proceeding.

I need to recheck my installers for this game to see if I have outdated stuff XP

I don't know why but Boneworks is linked to the Knuckles controller in my mind, will it be inferior on others or am I imagining some relation that doesn't exists ?

Oh and, for those that played Black Mesa, is it faithful to the original game ? I mean in the unlikely event that I buy a VR headset I will want to replay Half Life, is it a solid option or not ?

I'm excited for Boneworks but I can barely play Minecraft for more than 10 minutes before feeling sick so I don't know when I'll be able to play it 😟

I heard this was the new Steam thread, so I'm back guys.

welcome back :)

yeah, minecraft must be barf-city with that smooth movement (unless there's some other option i haven't seen in any of the videos) ... i imagine that's the reason why you can switch to a "big TV" mode in that game

Noone will really know until the game is out. Brandon, one of the devs and the blonde haired guy who has been in all of the Node Boneworks videos plays with the Rift CV1 everyday apparently.

They've said it'll play the same but won't have finger tracking on anything but Index controllers.

Gonna take me a bit to work up to Boneworks still...but I'm building those VR legs slowly lol

Um... Oculus Touch controllers have finger tracking on your index finger and your thumb. Index controller simply also tracks your 3 other fingers.

Also, the Index controllers has the strap that allows you to open your hand without dropping the controller. Not sure how that will play in Bonework though as you can make your own straps with the Oculus Touch controllers.

i know, i have a quest. :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-winking-eye: so i guess i meant "fingers" tracking rather "finger" tracking lol.

i saw that you can buy fake index straps but i don't see the benefit for me cause the straps the come on the quest seem fine. i might be missing out on something but for now it seems fine.

...wanna know how I know it's your first SaGa? You, uh, really shouldn't be grinding everything out. That's a one-way ticket to getting walled HARD on the final boss.
It's not my first SaGa game but I haven't yet finished one
