Users who have previously purchased Disney’s Aladdin or Disney’s The Lion King on Steam will receive credit from that purchase toward Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King.

Quick PSA:
Since MS broke the Windows Task Manager's on-top behaviour in Windows 10, it's somewhat easy to get into a situation where you have a running game in (pseudo-) fullscreen on top that you can't close, and that doesn't respond to Alt-F4. Most workarounds involve additional monitors, or doing at least some blind navigation of the task manager.
After running into this for the third time in a week while debugging, I searched for solutions (because they should be pretty easy to implement) and found SuperF4. It allows you to use Ctrl+Alt+F4 to kill (rather than ask politely to close) the current application. Works really well for my purposes.
I've sometimes used the win+tab to open a second desktop and open the task manager there, has saved me a few times. But even that doesn't always work. It's maddening that it's even possible to get into a situation where a program can take over your screen so completely that it's impossible to tab out.

Are MO: Astray and Noita good? Heavily considering picking them up.

Edit: Looking at Steam user reviews, apparently so.

Yeah, the virtual desktop method seems to work less reliably since the last Win10 update.

And yeah, it should never happen in a well-designed OS. It did never happen in Windows 7, at least for me.

Just great.
I had a small amount of funds on my Paypal account, which I ended up adding to my Steam wallet earlier today, before the sale started.
On top of that, I received a gift card, which I traded for a retail Steam wallet card, so all my "disposable" funds that I planned to spend on this sale were added to my Steam wallet earlier today, in preparation for the sale.

So, it seems I'm completely out of luck, and I won't get any tokens and discount vouchers from the purchases I make with these funds.
And, since no tokens were given for the purchases I made since the last sale, it seems like I'm really out of luck.

Sometimes, Valve has some baffling decisions, and this sale event is yet another.
On last year's winter sale, by rewarding customers based on the purchases made throughout the year, it was a nice "loyalty" initiative.
This year, they did a 180º turn, and nothing applies to me.

Some new gameplay snippets shows, looks amazing.
The stuff with the fingers from 14:10-14:45 is so crazy. That is just next level next gen stuff wtf. There is so much potential there and not just for video games.

But yea the game is shaping up to be like a faster paced RE7 type experience only in VR. Still gonna be such a drastic difference from the classic run n gun Gordon esque Half-Life game. The one bummer I see is that the teleporting kinda defeats the point of any platforming in the game right? Which is kind sucks since platforming sections in the first half life games was very important. But hopefully they added some type of intense substitute.

Also seeing the game actually have 3 different forms of movement will definitely add a lot of replay value. The first playthrough is probably best to do regular free locomotion on normal. And on 2nd playthrough is where you up the difficulty while playing with teleportation since its kinda op by the look of it. It should be an entirely different experience that way. The dashing movement I don't really know about. That could also be drastically different depending on the enemy AI in the game.

Not counting the discounts, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is $60 on Steam and $22.99 on EGS in my region.

How does that happen?

Probably because is Epic setting the prices on EGS and not the Pub/Dev since they don´t have a backend for devs, EA won´t be pleased.

So is this the first case? I wonder why.

Because there are a lot of games that are available on both Steam and EGS, and they have the exact same pricing. I always believed that it's the publishers that set the price for EGS too, just like Steam.

can I opt for an origin key if I buy jedi fallen order on egs? :p
I believe you'll be able to run the game without EGS after you activated and connected your EGS and Origin account.

Death Stranding also was pretty cheap in some countries on EGS but 505 'fixed' it pretty quickly. Fallen Order was the same, but it was only fixed in most regions, not all.

Ah yes, I remember that.

But in Fallen Order's case, I also remember that it was $60 when it was first revealed on EGS. So it seems that EA (or Epic) adjusted the price later on, or probably for this Winter sale and it was an error.

Nah, Epic is basically doing it manually. Even the top seller lists are updated manually.

Someone fucked up.

EGS makes me remember the time where if you need some document for something, that shit needed to be typed on a fucking typewriter and stored in a goddamn file cabinet.
