Nothing like some Disco Elysium to wash the taste of IFI jank out of my mouth.

Arc of Alchemist isn't even good as a game, but the Switch port shouldn't be allowed on the eShop. Handheld performance is god-awful:

Performance gets worse when enemies are present, and the game is an ARPG.

Bleh.
It's to be expected a bit though... the Switch is entering the second part of its life, when games run at sub 20FPS and massively reduced resolution. I stopped playing consoles for that reason.
... and I suppose it didn't even start that well when you look at something like Doom 2016 or Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Hey, horrendous performance and IQ, but it's portable I guess. Like when people would defend butchered arcade ports on Gameboy/Gamegear.

Jeez, that's straight up awful.

Hey guys, I need to change my SSD with a bigger one. I only have some steam games installed, if I simply copy the folder is there any problem? Or I should first move them with steam on my HDD and then re-move them on the new ssd?
Depends on what you want to do exactly.

If you are moving from ssd to sdd and don't plan to reinstall windows or anything and will keep both drives in use, just make a new library folder in the bigger ssd, close steam and just move the entire steamapps folder.
If you want to "back them up" so you can restore them after installing a new fresh windows on to the new sdd, you just temporarily move the steamapps folder somewhere else and then move it back to its place after you've reinstalled.

Or you can use the steam backup utility thing, but I always just the windows file manager, it's so easy.

New episode from War Stories by Ars Technica. Wholeheartedly recommend the series. Great insight directly from the makers of iconic classics.
I've finished Hotline Miami for the first time, now I get why that game got so many praise.
I dropped it after the first two levels. I appreciate the game, it just didn't click with me sadly. Maybe someday.

Doom’s Thy Flesh Consumed is fucking HARD
Yep, though the difficulty is front loaded to the first 2 levels. Fun video of E4.

It took over 2 years but I now have a "very good" credit score. Buying all those games and anime stuff payed off
Grats! My credit score is still barely just Below Average :( Though a large chunk of that is my lack of history so as that improves so will my score.

Man those old Warcraft 3 cinematics looks pretty nice in 4k.

The gameplay feels the same but man when you can downsample from 4k to 1440p it looks nice. I wish they gave more aliasing options in the new graphics but I guess not allowing it preserves some of that old feel even though it is obvious everything has about 100x more polygons or whatever haha.

Looks like Superliminal devs. reopened the steam page even tho it's still not going to be released until November, I wish all devs did that.

Game has had a nice concept and ideas, but actually playing it was a pain in the ass.
I usually struggled more trying to execute a puzzle than finding the solution to it, which is just realyl not fun in a puzzle game

Ah, civvie, the guy whose enthusiasm single-handedly made me try some of these games. I never even understood the appeal of some of them but listening to him, yeah, I get it.

So basically it'll be like Super Robot Wars PC that only available in Asia. Same publisher too (Bamco).
Not exactly, I really think this will come here. That parentheses might be another thing.

Yeah that's sad. Why didn't they cancel it and do a simple remaster instead? Same game, updated engine for modern systems, resolutions, hz, performance, battle.net integration, less limitations for modders, but no new assets or anything (except maybe hud stuff so they look good in said resolution modes). Give it for free to existing owners (not to everyone like Starcraft), maybe do a new DLC expansion a la AoE II: DE for them to buy and bundled for new buyers, or not.

It's easily one of my favorite games of all time. I'm still at odds over the second, but I was glad to get another slice. The soundtrack is absolute perfection. I can't tell you how many times I've played the game. Oddly, it was one of the first games I beat when I get my first gaming PC back in like 2012. HLM3... When?

Looks like you download WC3 Reforged if you own the original version but not Reforged...

I assume this is what they meant that Reforge players can compete against Classic players

Noticed Steam has the older Elder Scrolls games on sale this week so I picked up Morrowind and Oblivion for around $10.

I did it mostly for nostalgia as Morrowind in particular was my jumping off point with BGS sandbox rpgs. Can't believe it's been almost 20 years since it dropped on OG Xbox. Still remember like it was yesterday my repeated trips to GameStop for a launch copy, as the original release date got bumped (by only a few weeks if memory serves). Man, that game carried me through summer 2002. It was in all likelihood the first title where I dropped a over a couple hundred hours into a single save file. Pretty unprecedented breadth of single-player content at the time.

So after picking up the Steam version I downloaded OpenMW launcher for a quick & dirty option to get it up and running with as little friction as possible. Took it for a quick spin and all those memories came flooding back from the opening splash screen and unforgettable main-menu theme. Now I'm wondering if I want to go down a rabbit hole modding the game up for Steam.

What's weird is I'm not really interested in a graphic overhaul as I'm more in it for the nostalgia-bait. So vanilla seems just fine to me. But rather, I'd prefer to launch out of Steam instead of the separate .exe OpenMW so I can track hours logged, screenshots, etc. through Steam. About the only visual changes I'd want beyond 1080p/16:9 would be increased text font size for these tired old eyes. But on the other hand, I could just drop a few Nexus mods into OpenMW and call it a day as I doubt my revisit would last more than 5 or 10 hours.

Oh decisions decisions.

What GPU does everyone have? What resolution do you play in? Curious.
Still rocking the gtx 1060 6gb. Gotta wait for the rtx 30xx series to drop (or the next AMD series) before upgrading.

I mostly play at 1080p for AAA games. Indies and Japanese games are usually more forgiving and I can play at 1440p or even 4K downsampled.

Like texhnolyze, I'm also using a gtx 1060 6gb.
And, since I'm using an old monitor, I play at... 1680x1050. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Yeah, even my work PC has a better monitor.
But you know what? It's perfectly playable, I can't say I'm unhappy with my current setup, for what I play in it. I basically crank up the AA and all bells and whistles, and I have a fluid frame-rate, and the IQ is not as bad as you might think.

I never played Morrowind, Oblivion was my first Elder scrolls game. I like the idea of giving it a go. Ive read that its the best one for story/quests.

Im a fool that bought a Titan. I play at whatever rez gives me a solid 60fps so for newer games its 1080/1440 and older games its 4k.

GTX 970, 1080p. I usually try my luck with the high preset.

Still not 100% sure, but if I have the money this year, I will upgrade to a beefier GPU and a monitor that can go farther than 60hz. Not really interested in 4k, 1440p is more appealing, but I want to focus on fps.

1070, don't really play too many new games so i usually do well at 1440p on medium/high settings. For some examples, doing 1440p on high settings for ys 8 right now and it's going strong at about 130~ FPS. RE2 on medium/high custom configs at 1440p is giving me about 90-100 FPS depending on where I am.
