I -really- want to play Ori 2... but... man, I can't bring myself to fork out 49 CHF for it... I also -really- don't want to be a hoodlum about it... if you catch my drift.

I guess I'll just wait, maybe I'll upgrade my OG Ori 1 to the definitive edition.

I plan to have the Trails from Zero OT posted up by Friday 13/03 around 10pm or so (+10 GMT). If anyone has suggestions for interesting contents and want to collab on it, let me know. :dana_excited:

My state's Ministry of Science has ordered all universities to stop lectures. City is also closing theaters, museums, public swimming pools etc.

That's quite impressive. I understand the reasoning behind it : it's not about the virus's lethality but rather about limiting hospital's occupancy, but it's still shocking to hear.

Where are you located? Here is Austria, universities are already closed, schools will follow next week.
And yep, it feels a bit crazy right now. The measures we're taking make sense to combat and contain a pandemic, but people still should panic less. Look out for your own hygiene (you should do that always anyway!), keep your distance to others (also something I recommend at all times :D ), dont attend large events, dont travel to dangerzones - and if you have symptoms, call whatever hotline your contry provides instead of running into a hospital or to a doctor.

We do have a thread about this now, btw. |OT| - Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) news & discussion - No, it's not just a flu

I'm still very conflicted about the virus. After all, it's still far from the death toll of the common flu (in France I think flu is 2000 deaths/year).
But that's reason, reason is out the windows. My mother is 69 and I myself don't have the best health.
Don't want to make it gloomier than necessary (someone please post a lolcat) but may or may not have eventful sleep cycles involving screams. Totally calm.

I read that the death toll is expected to be more than flu at the end, no? Or am I mistaken?
If you look at the curve, you can suspect that it is the very start for France.

Plus, as Swenhir mentioned, the big issue is the hospital capacity, which can be overwhelmed by the surge of sick people.
In this event, people who should not die end up dying, because there are only so many hands and so much medical gear. That could be anyone.

I don't think I'm the cleanest person in the world, but I do wash my hands often and washing my hands is always the first activity I do each time I come home from somewhere. So being told to wash your hands some more is just felt weird since I always do that and have been for years.

I've started seeing empty shelves in my local supermarket too. I just want to get some milk and they ran out everything except the low-fat ones which I dislike.

Wok True. I have read the reports from Italy where doctors must choose between people to treat, lives to try to save.
I think I need more lolcats.

This looks so good, but I think I want it to be better than it probably will. For one, 5-6 hours sounds a bit shortish. Something like SOTN felt a lot longer, even though I'm pretty sure that was just me meandering around the castle in search of every last secret. The art style and animation of this game are incredible. I think I'll wait and see as I always do with early access still. This is the closest I've been to getting an unfinished game.

This is not a lolcat, this is a scarycat.
I would like to answer you with another lolcat, customer satisfaction is important. But I don't want to shit up the thread more than I already have and I already have another lolcat for later. Those things, they take moderation.

I hope nobody here in Switzerland buys it on Steam. That price is a straight ripoff.

Washing your hands is not so obvious for many people.
Look at the number that don't even wash after going to the toilet. Isn't it like 50% that don't even do this at home?

Do it before Macron speaks tonight, and it is the big rush to the supermarkets to get some paper.
TFW you do your first online grocery order ever because FEAR and you forgot toilet paper.
Brb, staring into the void.

I bought the wrong toilet paper and then had to get more, result is that I have a month worth of toilet paper.:D
Unless I'm mistaken you're French right? Well, I know you're living in France...

I took this picture in a Leclerc about 3 years ago. From the label it's obvious that all the other toilet papers are the WRONG toilet paper. Go back and get this one.

Absolute cleanliness
Resistant and soft
Perfect touch (I don't even know what "toucher parfait" means in French... I mean... If I were to guess, I'd say that this is the product of some slapdash google translate job)
Sensitive (again, it doesn't mean anything. In French the word "sensitive" is used to describe something related to the senses...)
Sexual... soothing?

Think I've found the keyboard I'm going to get in the future... and it's a Razer one haha. I wasn't so happy with them messing up my computer but I still want their keybord.

I def got FOMO after hearing Durante describe it as one of the best-looking games ever.

Then I remember that I'm just not into platformers and move on.
Well, my problem is that I loved Ori And The Blind Forest (I get teary-eyed just listening to some of the songs...), I like platformers and I have a soft spot for anything labeled metroidvania...

Well before you do anything drastic, just try to remember that it isn't going anywhere.

Hell, waiting a bit might even net you some balance/performance patches before you dive in.

As others have pointed out, its on Gamepass, so you could try it that way.
I bought it via Steam yesterday, looking forward to playing more later :)

@ washing hands and all that: that is also normal for me. Hygiene and a feeling of cleanliness is simply important for me. However, a lot of people seem completely unaware how important it is. I've seen people walk out of the shitter not washing their hands...way too often.

Pretty much, the ger. government seems to be pretty open about it:

-60-70% of the population will eventually be infected.
-80% of the infected will have lite-mild symptoms
-20% will have a more serious condition
-it's important to not overwhelm the healtcare system so that people from vulnerable groups can be treated. Death rates for them can be high.
-if you are young and healthy your part is to help to not spread the disease: Protecting vulnerable people is more important then visiting clubs, cinemas etc.

The last parts has not been understood by many people. I hope that's going to change. Most people know or have regular contact with vulnerable groups. That's just not eldery people btw, but also people with certain chronic diseases, heart conditions, people taking immune suppressive meds, cancer patients etc.

I have both a Razer Huntsman TE and the Huntsman Elite so if you were looking at one of those two, I can try to answer any questions about them.

Yeah it's the Huntsman TE that I want! I love it being so subtle being all black and plain. I heard people complaining about the sound of typing, but I can't imagine it being a big issue?

Coming from the developers of Minit, Disc Room is a sci-fi dungeon crawler that immediately makes it clear that you will inevitably meet your death--quite often. As a reimagining of the developer's game released on itch.io in 2016, the new take on the hardcore dungeon-crawling dodger places you in the role of an interstellar scientist who has to explore a massive underground network filled with rooms lined with killer buzzsaws.
