Ironically Square price is lower in our region. We have a couple of new games pricing.
Square continues to be a huge jerk for my region, while Bamco is still as reasonable as ever, thankfully.
Trials is more pricey than the base US$ price.
Wow, that's great. This is exactly why we need to voice our concern regarding pricings, always.Just wanted to highlight a publisher listening. Trine 4 price hiked to Bethesda level bad in India few days before release and I wrote this post.
The publisher guy then responded and had the price fixed.
Extremely rare, but I'm glad this happened.
Sneak Regional Price Hike :: Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince General Discussions
Before : Rs. 699 After : Rs. 1999 I had faith in Modus after they priced their last two games accordingly. But it seems they don't care for that. Really sick of price hikes these days.steamcommunity.com
Nah, I intentionally searched for this one.Wrong thread?
Russian price is just 10% lower than original $60, crazyNo regional pricing whatsoever for Jedi Fallen Order.
This might be the first time for me that cdkeys price is cheaper than Steam.
same on origin? maybe they just set the same exact prices as origin (because reasons)Russian price is just 10% lower than original $60, crazy
For me, it's cheaper on Origin. Because there's some form of regional pricing there using SG$, so it's a bit cheaper than full US$ conversion.same on origin? maybe they just set the same exact prices as origin (because reasons)
Same on Origin.same on origin? maybe they just set the same exact prices as origin (because reasons)
oh well ... maybe if people scream at them enough they'll lower them (like MS did) ... although something tells me it's not gonna happen (sadly)Same on Origin.
I would still suggest everyone to reply to this thread and bumping it up, so that other voices can chime in.I've made a thread detailing the pricing on Steam. Share your thoughts here. The PR guy is communicating, and so I thought a post would help in getting light on this issue

After that, write a mail detailing the pricing on Steam of DS vs usual (compare it with Vampire Bloodlines 2) in your region and tell you can not support the game without regional pricing. Mail is more important.
If possible, post this one ResetEra too.

yeah, this is getting fucking ridiculousKingdom of Fire II and Dragon Quest Builders 2.
List... just.. keeps... growing....
yeah, no one seems to give a fuck ...I kinda gave up on expecting regional pricing on big releases after Halo. As lashy said, it's just fucking ridiculous
they already did that shit with Octopath ... and then had to sell it for 50% off like a month later (and yet they STILL haven't actually fixed the regional pricing on that one)S-E is fucking worst (3x time of gears5 price for dq builders 2)
BTW, OT was 4x times gears5 pricethey already did that shit with Octopath ... and then had to sell it for 50% off like a month later (and yet they STILL haven't actually fixed the regional pricing on that one)
and now they're doing it again
motherfuckers
that's the thing, though ... Gears 5 was 4000spacebux as well when they put the store page up Aug 19) ... but then people started screaming at them, and they eventually fixed it 10 days later for most of the poorer countries ... EXCEPT Argentina, Mexico and a few others - for some reasonBTW, OT was 4x times gears5 price
The fucking worst thing of all of this? People, like, players, supporting pubs dropping regional pricing.yeah, no one seems to give a fuck ...
only MS did ... kinda ... they changed the pricing for Gears 5 for most countries to something more sane ... but not for Argentina
and then after that - no one gives a fuck anymore
EA rep said they'd "pass on" the message about making the regional pricing on JEDI not-shit ... and what? nothing fucking happened
same with all the MS games (MCC, Wasteland, Bleeding Edge - all shit regional pricing)
sigh
yup ... i always report those shitheads when i see posts like thatThe fucking worst thing of all of this? People, like, players, supporting pubs dropping regional pricing.
MegaApple has done plenty threads on Steam forums trying to get some attention to this issue, as well many other users, only to see shitheads coming in with their hot takes: 'oh but i pay $60 why can't you pay $60' or 'you are still paying 5 bucks less than us so stop complaining', 'blame your government', or whatever they decide to throw up next. Fuck off.
I really wish that those sad motherfuckers had to live on your average third world country's minimun salary. Let's see them praising the lack of regional pricing then. The fucking worst thing of all of this? People, like, players, supporting pubs dropping regional pricing.

holy shitIt's a bit of a mess here in Kuwait; many of the crowdfunded and smaller indie games are heavily discounted on release, while most AAA games cost over 60$. Nino Kuni II costs about 82$ for the regular edition and 102$ for The Prince's Edition. Yeeesh!
So far, other than VR indies, small pubs and devs self publishing have been mostly following Valve's recommendations when it comes to regional pricing, so indies prices will be okay and accessible. Not sure until when it will last though, last year we already saw some of these devs blaming Valve recommendations. It's a bit of a mess here in Kuwait; many of the crowdfunded and smaller indie games are heavily discounted on release, while most AAA games cost over 60$. i guess everyone already forgot what Gaben said about piracy back in the day, and now they're waiting to learn that lesson the hard way ... againFucking up regional pricing, especially when Valve suggests fair pricing by default, is so fucking stupid. You're literally locking out market share for no reason, especially since trading between regions is already so restricted.

505 is known for trash pricing like this. Their community managers are utterly incompetent and barely give a response or acknowledge shit like this. For those wanting to get Death Stranding prices fixed, post a comment here and telling 505 they should feel bad for even pricing Death Stranding like this
