I feel you, but Unheard is ~3h long, for a full price of less than 6€ in France (and I got it for 1,24€ on sale), so even if the game is short, it's not overpriced.

I deplore the absence of translation for DLC too, but I'm not upset because main game it's not a scam at that price.
I never said it was. ;)
No complaints about the price. Like I mentioned in my post, their games are very affordable, and very good, quality-wise.

But, as you may understand, it's disappointing that they created, in the meantime, more content than the one available on the actual game, and after some anticipation for it, we get told "sorry, this is only for a portion of our customers". I would gladly pay for the DLCs more than Chinese users (one of them was even free to them), to cover the translation and localization costs, but not being able to experience this content is disappointing. That is all. :)

No kidding, the design of the impossible lair is annoyingly sadistic. Despite the 48 bees, I am most certainly going to leave the game there.

Any bets on how expensive the most expensive consumer Ampere part will be?
I think the first question is whether there will be a consumer Ampere part (unless you consider Turing a consumer Volta part, but it's a pretty different architecture). But we can always just talk about "their next consumer architecture" without knowing what its name will be of course.

Anyway, it's hard to speculate about pricing without knowing more.
Will they build huge chips again?
Will they release Ti at the start again?

My guesses are "No" and "No" respectively. I expect a 3080 that's moderately faster than a 2080ti -- and also much smaller since it's 7nm and only moderately faster -- that they will sell at roughly 2080 prices. Putting people like me into the shitty situation of deciding whether to upgrade or to wait for the 3080ti :p

Even with the patch that allowed breaking it into segments? I was hoping that would make it doable for me but maybe not lol
Hmmm... Maybe, I have to try again, because I have not seen this screen (introduced with the last patch):

So far, I have attempted the level twice with 48 bees, and made it to 46%, so I would like to know if I can actually start from stage 2. If I have to start from scratch every time, then it is going to be infuriating.

Edit: Good to know!

Was the Utada Hikaru thing real? I always kept hearing that it was because of her music (her dad?) that SE could not make the series digital but that has now changed. If Xbox can get the whole KH collection I don't see why PC can't
Nothing is confirmed, naturally, but it's heavily speculated that she was part of it. KH only started seeing digital releases when Square literally didn't have a choice anymore - PS4 onwards.

With that said that ship has long sailed and the only reason KH isn't on PC at this point is because Square Enix is gonna Square Enix. They're not exactly known for making sense either.

There's a live stream going on for Paradise Killer on the game's Steam page, and what's been shown so far has been really cool:

A reminder that a demo is also now available.

Pretty sure how it works is that it saves your best bee count at each checkpoint. So you can start from 2 with 28 bees or you can restart and if you get to checkpoint 2 with 35 bees (for example) then that'll be updated. So you can continually improve and bump up your bee count per checkpoint.

Good. That is more manageable. Still super hard though, because the level design is really mean, almost unfair.

I am at checkpoint #3 with... 2 bees left. :sweatrat:

I'm now sounding like a broken record about this game, but after yesterday's awesome trailer, the footage I've seen, and the info they've given on the stream, really won me over.
The game is a first person adventure game, in which you are investigating a crime, but the culprit, while fixed, is not necessarily the person you will accuse (since you are free to reach your own conclusions). Basically, you can accuse anyone, and based on the case you build he/she may or may not be charged.

The game has a crazy, neon-coloured style, that appears to come from the universe of Suda 51's games (especially Flower, Sun and Rain, but with some bits from No More Heroes) with a very 80's synthpop, and jazzy (saxophone!!! :blobcheer:), soundtrack.
You are exploring an open world environment, gathering clues (and the description of the clues changes based on other information you already learned at the time you get it; which means, different people may get different descriptions for the same item, based on previous information and clues gathered).
Also, characters have "relationships" with the character, in the sense they respond differently to you, and are more or less cooperative during your interrogations, based on how you act to them (if you antagonize them, if you compliment them, ...).

The game looks like a crazy, colourful, and unusual adventure game.
It's now one of my most wanted games for 2020. (y)

EDIT: The main character is called... Lady Love Dies.

More LudoNarraCon news:
There's a new demo available for Chinatown Detective Agency:

This is one awesome looking adventure game, that I have been following for some time.

A reminder, the game is currently on Kickstarter:

We wanted to let everyone know that on Friday, April 3, 2020, we removed Broomstick League from Steam and turned off our servers. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to go into much more detail about our reasons why, but know that we are incredibly grateful for the help and support we saw from all of you.

This decision was not made lightly and we sincerely thank our community for the extraordinary support we received throughout Broomstick League’s development. We are currently working with our friends at Steam to issue full refunds to all existing customers.

We have a lot of big news to share over the course of the year, stay tuned!

Thank you once again for the support, we sincerely hope you, your family, friends, pets and everyone you know are staying safe at home.
I didn't even get a chance to play and was excited to try it out. I really doubt that I'll like the big news planned.

When, during launch, a few people mentioned Dragon Marked For Death had mixed reviews on the Switch, I mentioned the game has come a long way since then, and that early reviews on Steam were positive (with the few negative reviews basically a result of a launch bug affecting the multiplayer co-op modes, which is now fixed).

The game is now at "Very Positive" on Steam:

I'm happy to see the game finding a (small) audience, and being positively received on PC. :cat-heart-blob:

There's some good bundles on the LudoNarraCon sale, especially if one owns some of the games already, and uses the "complete the bundle" option.

Speaking of one of the games from the first bundle, Over the Alps, the developers announced a free content update for the summer, essentially adding a brand new story, set in the same continuity:

Picked it up today as well and I'm looking forward to giving it a shot and reporting back. :)

As you said it's always nice seeing a smaller, niche title find new life on PC. Getting something similar to Vanillaware's games on PC with online co-op as an added bonus is incredible.

Now to rope folks into trying co-op with me someday.. shame a place like that doesn't exist. :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-winking-eye:

Anybody use Augmented Steam for Chrome?

I've had it forever and have become quite accustomed to the expanded feature sets when browsing random Steam Storefront pages such has Is There Any Deal pricing integration, etc.

So over the last day I noticed another feature that I rely heavily on has completely disappeared. YouTube review integration.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? The YouTube review playlist has completely vanished from the Storefront pages I visit.

Super-drag as the ability to instantly launch a review vid for the game page I'm on was incredibly convenient.

I checked my AS settings and it still has YouTube integration checked in the Options.

What gives?

It's now on tabs in the main video/screenshots of the game.

Actually, yes, some of them will probably be updated into the PS4 and PC version, maybe not everything but most of them.
Do you know that is happening? That would actually be great. I loved playing DQ XI on PC and would love to get the Orchestral score and the other cool stuff the Switch version got.

Yeah, they did (on the very first day). ;)
I haven't tried it myself, since I'm still playing it in SP, but the forum users reacted positively to it, and confirmed it fixed the existing problem.

Going back to Paradise Killer (yeah, I know; first I wouldn't shut up about Dandy Dungeon, then the INTI CREATES games, and now it's this one :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:), the game's soundtrack is insanely catchy, very 80's, with saxophone and all, so it made me check out the composer's works on bandcamp.

His last solo album is more pure synthwave than much of what I heard in-game, but it's worth a listen, especially since the album is "name your price" on Bandcamp:

I've added so many amazing looking games to my wishlist today from this LudoNarraCon, it's just ridiculous :sweaty-blob:
Yeah, lot's of great games. (y)
Even I, someone who tries to be up-to-date regarding upcoming games, have discovered some really good stuff.

And, I don't know if anyone else is checking out some of the panels (there'll be archived, so you can watch them later), or the live streams and Q&As, but it has been very enjoyable.
And now, to try the demos! :blobcheer:

I really like events like this one.
Living in a smaller country, I have no chance to attend any game conventions, so I never get to watch developer talks, try out early demos, or even get some swag (a few developers have merchandise giveaways going on).
These online "conventions" are perfect for a guy like me. And even better, since I much prefer indie developers, and smaller games: instead of the main focus being on the big titles, and the Sony's and the EA's and whatnot, here it's all about the small guys, and their games are front and centre.

Sorry, in this case is just a personal guess based on the typical movements SE does title after title, might happen or might not happen.

Looking at the current Steam sale charts, it's unbelievable the diversity of offerings we currently have on PC, and a testament of the great games recently released.

I mean, we have a chart where games like XCOM: Chimera Squad, Disco Elysium, Tabletop Simulator, and Mount & Blade 2 are selling more than Red Dead Redemption 2, where you can find games like Pummel Party, The Forest, and Divinity: Original Sin 2 (the later almost 3 years after launch!) still selling well, and we have some apparently successful launches from titles like Cloudpunk, Iratus: Lord of the Dead (leaving Early Access), Trials of Mana, and even games that were barely mentioned in here, like 112 Operator.

PC is definetly the gaming machine that gives you the most of everything.
