Looking forward to Yakuza Kiwami.
I'm not sure what the differences are between the original version and this Kiwami version, but I really enjoyed the first game.
In fact, I know not many share my opinion, but I rather prefer the first Yakuza game to Yakuza 0.
For me, the first Yakuza had a better story, and I preferred the more traditional storyline/structure, compared to Yakuza 0 whose narrative is overly fractured (from all the switching between the 2 characters), the humour can be a bit over the top at times, and I find the game a bit overly long (I'm yet to finish it, in fact).

I think I'll grab the 1$ tier for Headlander. Interested in Tyranny and Shadow Tactics as well but I have too many games in my active rotation to add something a bit more "expensive" (aside from Yakuza).

I have started messing with a Python module for « word embeddings ». I have fed it the store descriptions of the 30,725 Steam games with English support.
I don't know what to do with that for now, except querying words and checking the most similar words.
I am quite impressed that the model can learn so fast that one of the most similar words to 'anime' is 'sexy'.
There is also 'pulp'. Not exactly sure why.

Okay, so all SciADV games are in a shared multiverse, so for instance Daru from S;G is mentioned in one of Chaos;Child character routes (only mentioned though). Nothing that requires having to read S;G, but a nice cameo for fans.
Chaos;Child and Chaos;Head are kind of like Umineko and Higurashi situation. Kind of, because while you absolutely can play the later without the former, C;C does spoil some major reveals from C;H. But it does it as an offhand mention, so unless you actually played C;H it all might as well go over your head.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. C;H has extremely low chance of being released officially and the existing fan translation is based on the original version of the game, which kind of sort of sucked. Also C;H's protagonist is, honestly, one of the larger shitheels in fiction.

Has the new Senran Kagura improved it's gameplay? Lord knows I've given the series a chance, but Shinovi Versus was just very mediocre, gameplay wise. The original 3DS game ran like crap. And the balloon boobs do nothing for me. Don't hate them, don't love them.
Voidu's asking price for Yakuza Kiwami is at $20 AUD plus conversion fee after coupon. That's lunch money tier.
I'd rather get Vesperia first with the coupon but of course, it's not available in my region.

Just sat myself down to finally try out the Resi 2 demo and wow, this stuff is cinematic af.
Camera work, aesthetics, the sheer quality is insane. Gotta admit, I got scared real good. Usually not one for horror games.
Didn't manage to finish the demo in half an hour but this is pretty solid.
Limited ammo, three headshots needed to down an undead and the claustrophobic levels make the zombies feel like a real threat. Haven't felt this way about zombies in games since forever.

Up to 60fps...
Xenia supporting 2x render scale...
Camera work, aesthetics, the sheer quality is insane. Gotta admit, I got scared real good. Usually not one for horror games.

Neat. The game itself was made only available on Desura and I alas cannot download from Desura at least for the time being
I reached out to one of the game's developers and they mentioned that the one way the game COULD get a re-release is if someone buys up the publisher/developer of it.
Incidentally enough the game was Greenlight but seems to not have garnered much approval?
Eh, I'd like to sell you on it but if Shinovi Versus bored you a bunch, this one probably won't be much better. There are a few new mechanics like the Burst Gauge and changes to parry...
but otherwise the combat remains largely the same. The most fun I ever had with Senran was Peach Beach Splash, the mechanics are quite fun with a tint of randomness from the skill card system, the music is bumpin', the stages are cool, and it was my favorite shooter in 2017. Multiplayer is probably dead though by now.
