Tower of Time :: NEW GAME MODES
RPGLite has the following features:
- You start in the city.
- All 7 champions are available in the beginning.
- Blacksmith (Tier I gear), Transmute and Enchanting is enabled.
- All class buildings are upgraded to the max, so you can level up whatever champions you wish, providing you have the resources.
- First 4 floors of the Tower are immediately unlocked, so you can move down whenever you are ready. Remaining parts are unlocked when you descend through the stairs at the end of the given floor.
- You can skip Dialogues and temporarily unlock doors and remove barriers, that usually require doing a quest (via the means of “skip content lever”.
- Party alignment is changed to Party Boost and depends on the level of the champion.
- Some starting resources, so you can customize your starting party a bit.
- Save games are now in separate categories: Normal, RPGlite, Permadeath..
--- PERMADEATH mode ---
- Permadeath mode is for those truly wishing to test themselves. When your champion die in battle, he/she cannot re-enter the tower (unless you resurrect him in combat) and you continue with remaining party.
- New difficulty setting for Permadeath - Blood - which is the only one available for this mode. It starts relatively easy, so you get the resources to build up your party and then ramps up to half way between Hard and Epic.
- Game ends when you loose all your champions OR when you reach the end of floor 11 with at least a single one.

I'm getting Darius Gaiden flashbacks, though probably not as good.
i think i've gone full 180 from initially being like optimistic with the epic store to realizing it's probably just a boost to the already successful to now being irritated and indifferent about the whole thing

Ooh! I like it! There's a Ghibli-ness too it that instantly has me interested.
It's certainly a target I bet. They seem to prioritize taking down pillars of steam instead of just going after games they think are big gets (it's really petty honestly). Metro's got a history with Steam going back almost 10 years and it's no doubt been a big help getting central and eastern europe on to Steam. Ubisoft games despite only being on steam itself and uplay everywhere else still managed to sell many millions of copies each on Steam.
You know what else has been massive on Steam? Dark souls games. And this time Activision is the publisher and Kotick would sell his own children if the price was right. The only hope is how much control From has in this deal on where the game can go or not go.

It happens occasionally, usually when I uninstall certain stuff it triggers but also at random other times. Don't worry, it won't actually download anything for most, just try to launch them normally or restart Steam to have it fix all of them together without launching them individually (usually that works) and you'll see. I can imagine it being annoying if it breaks some game's offline mode when you happen to need it but meh, chances of that happening are slim I suppose. I'm actually not even sure if it can occur at all for it to bork like that while you're already offline so ignore the possibility if nobody else confirms it can.

I WANT it to be good but I don’t think it will be. I played the beta on PS4 and it wasn’t that great
I might just grab Chaos;Child tonight since they seem pretty confident about the patch.
with the league ranked season starting out i feel really little drive to play more monster hunter world
i played like 70hrs of this game so i definitely liked it but i feel the lategame turns into a bit of a grind and replaying through old levels isn't super exciting. i want to see the elder dragons tho, so i'm gonna play some more but i do feel the game lost a lot of steam at this stage. i know for some people this is the real meat of the game but i struggle to enjoy the part where the content starts to dry out
maybe i'll allow myself a break for some hitman 2 or to finish bayonetta 2, idk

I may get it down the line and i have interest in some of the characters like jotaro kenshiro and dai.
I remember listening to a podcast, can't remember which, they were talking about news that there was backlash against a review for pc strategy game, they said that pc crowd and gamer gate where closely linked and pc fosters a toxic place, then at the same time the huge backlash against the review for uncharted 4 happened and complete silence.

you see that's the thing with this toxic PC cowboys meme, we are only gamer userbase that is heard loud and clear, we have steam boards where we talk to devs, we have steam reviews where we express our opinion, no other userbase has an active place like this. Of course you can go to specific publisher and dev forums of those few that have it, but usually only fans do so, and to be fair MS and Sony have boards too, only they aren't like steam's.
Because we are so visible due to how steam operates, it's very easy to pick on us.
All communities have toxic people, all large communities, that is true, but only gamers in general and PC folks in particular are called out and that sucks. Such a blatant generalization of millions of people should be unethical, but behold, if it is about PC gamers, then it's OK.
