Not gonna lie, I thought Sea of Thieves was going to bomb on Steam.It's that time of the week, it's time for the weekly top 10 global sellers list.
Let's see.
1- Sea of Thieves and MCC are JUGGERNAUTS, SoT still having a very active community and MCC getting Halo 3 next week, we finish the fight, fellas!
2- Formula 1 is a very interesting one, I can't remember seeing last year's one so high on any top seller list, however, here we are.
3- Satisfactory is doing really well, it went down 2 places but still selling really well. It's in the same place right now without any sale nor discount.
4- HZD is a very interesting one cause' even tho it just went up one place, keep in mind that this is just PRE-ORDERS and it was in the final stage of the summer sale, this usually means a very strong revenue of money for other games, the fact that it hold there means that it must be doing really well.
5- compared to last week, Titanfall 2 goes out of the global top seller and most of the games go down in places, except for Iceborne which went up by 3 places.

there's some weirdness when reviving people that cause you to lose input and has to start the res process again, but besides this, theres nothing else.
Performance could be a little better tho'.

And probably will be for 3 or 4 more days after release if everything goes as normal as for most of AAA releases, I'm curious to see the reception of Death Stranding alongside the CCU of the first day.
I need to fix my PS4 and get back in to DS but doesn't it also use the DS4 Gyro for some bit with BB or am i misremembering after a few months away?

I remember hearing about that but I was not sure if it was real or not, which is why I didn't mention it. I only mentioned the speaker thing because on the DS PC 505 page you can download "sounds" from the game and I would imagine that they are from the game but only play on the game speaker.I need to fix my PS4 and get back in to DS but doesn't it also use the DS4 Gyro for some bit with BB or am i misremembering after a few months away?

I think the some of the few games that made use of the speakers were SH PT, DeathS, and Let it Die. The PC version of Let it Die doesn't have the speaker thing so I was wondering if games on PC can even make use of it. PC games can make use of everything else except for that I think.
By the way the speaker is not really that impressive and does sound rather muffled which I guess is why many games didn't make use of it. I think that the Wii mote's speaker was about as good as the one on the DS4 controller.
So while I came for the free game, and ubisoft underestimated the appeal of that word, the rest didn't actually seem at all interesting to me what so ever.
I guess all their interesting titles will be launch titles for the next consoles? That does seem to be when Ubisoft does their most interesting work, in order to see what titles they're going to be able to launch into series.

Thinking about it, with WD Legion releasing in october and Valhalla in november, Im gonna try and play through them both with 1 month of UPlay+ in december or whenever Im done with CP2077.
FF7R's ost is absolute perfection, they did a great job, it's such an iconic ost, I get chills while playing because of it.
Anyway, I need to play Grandia one day, I was so pissed when they cancelled the western release of the Saturn version. All these years later and I still haven't gotten around to playing it.

My copy of Death Stranding has now shipped and I should be getting it on release date. I was worried for a bit that I might not get the pre-order stuff but the game itself is the "day 1 edition" so the pre-order stuff seems to be included.
How long does it take Steam to process a refund again? Since I think I am just going to refund the game and by the time that I get back from work that day I should be able to redeem my key in order to play the game since it will have been pre-loaded by then. Or....will that not work and I will have to re-download the game all over again? Just to be safe I think I might go to my house during lunch to unpack the game and play it and then refund it so that the files will be on my PC. Seeing how it's taking me 9+ hours just to download the pre-load

For me takes about one hour normally to remove the game, the money takes up to 3 days to go back to my wallet.
I had to refund HZD during the sell because I've picked the wrong payment method on PayPal.
I was able to repurchase the game on the same game (with the correct payment). I'd say less than five hours.

So Watch Dogs Legion and Far Cry 6 are being headed by Ubisoft Toronto instead of Ubisoft Montreal. Not sure how to feel about that. But who knows, Ubisoft Quebec did a better job with Assassin’s Creed than Montreal’s recent attempts so maybe a new lead dev is what Far Cry needs.
Really not interested in Watch Dogs Legion though. Seems way too gimmicky to me. Watch Dogs 2 was great and replacing a preset protag with a group of player determined characters seems like it’ll be pretty shallow on the story/character front.

By the way in Nippon Ubisoft gave people Child of Light rather than Watch Dogs 2.....

I'm legit excited for Death Stranding this week. I played for like 10 hours on PS4 and I dunno why I stopped playing, but I'll certainly play it again on PC this week

Funny observation, searching after #DeathStrandingPC and "Death Stranding PC" on Twitter only shows me people posting picture of them pre-loading the game on Steam and the game in their Steam library.
Only seen 2 mentions of Epic Store and that's if the game will have pre-load there (it won't).
I would have loved for 505 or KojiPro to release sales split between Steam and Epic.
2 other observations: all 3rd party shops (like GMG) seems to only have Steam keys and you can pre-order the game from 505 Games Death Stranding website (Home - Death Stranding). You are given 2 links, 1 to Epic Store and 1 where you buy a Steam code directly from 505 Games (giving them more revenue).
Despite the dual EGS and Steam launch, 505 Games are going all in on Steam.

Well, while I doubt they are going to give us an split, I will do my best to keep an eye on third party services like Insight and see what does it says after the release, however, yeah, the difference will be interesting, same goes for HZD, it will be interesting to know not only the split but also the CCU
