“You slack jawed stacks of video game backlogs...”

😂......😅.......😭

Yeah, there were some class phrases used in the Devolver Direct. Hopefully some people are self-aware enough to know when they're being called out. lol.

I had little information regarding the game prior the tweet, but according to some RPG fan users is a very solid RPG product. And for it's worth to mention, it's a 10 years old game. It made me think of its similarity with Persona 4 Steam release. Both being old games re-released years later with great success.
If anything, it proves there's a huge market for certain RPGs yet to fill.

Reason: Added Felipepe tweet for context + typos + mistakes

The things holding me back from Gujian 3 is time, it's quite long apparently and the online saving. I've had it in my cart a few times but haven't gone for it yet. It's definitely on my radar though epecially after seeing Horizon Queen and other's screenshots and game impressions here.

I just have a bunch of games in my Library i want to play before i dive into Gujian 3.

I actually finished something!

Command & Conquer Remastered GDI campaign! 😀

It's interesting to see the roots of the franchise, and how low key they actually are. All the bombastic stuff during the campaign comes first in later games.

Especially humorous is how the campaign ends.
You attack Kane's HQ, blow it up, and the game just ends.

I'm a bit miffed that I failed to get the hidden ending, because I did stuff in the wrong order. You had to save the temple for last I take it, and I didn't do that, just the ion cannon bit.

I got the achievement though...

Next, the NOD campaign maybe?

Ok, I'm going to be completely clear here:

let's imagine is July 13 instead of 12 cause' why not.

In 10 days, we should be getting Tetris Effect on Steam and Oculus Store (not quest, last year PC release was July 23)
In 4 days, we should be getting confirmation of such thing (last year PC confirmation was July 16)

In 10 days I could be like this (or very disappointed)

Gujian 3 is not 10 years old, the franchise is. This is the 3rd iteration, a brand new game.

Great news, by the way.
Thanks for the info. I had the wrong conception of its release date. Much appreciated.

And that was fast. Original source tweeter user (Daniel Ahmad) also reported PC Gamer's wrong information on their article .

Reason: Added Daniel Ahmad tweet.

Ok I refunded Bloodstained CotM 2 (harder than the original? A pass for me) so back to 1000 games 😛

then I looked and thought “fuck”
How many games of that have I never played?
How many of that have I beaten that I’ll ever play more than once?

Wish there was a way to resell digital copies, or to rent like you can with movies 😕

That's terrible news. The original was interesting difficulty-wise.

i suuuuuuuck at every single game ever ... it's not exactly a secret :p
We should play something together, for science. Me, I'm the type that fairly regularly beat his friends on our first approach to a new game. Then THEY learned, and, well... :anguished-face:

Maybe we can break the universe and lose at the same time.

Tetris Effect is great, it's a ton of Tetris with a ton of style and the events they put on were brilliant at keeping me coming back. It's only the fact i'm garbage at Tetris at higher levels when things speed up too much for me and that my PS4 sounds like a hovercraft that stopped me playing it.

It's great "Flat" but worth trying it in VR if you can. It's something else.

There is a very generous bundle, 67% off fo the series and another game

All games except for Gujian 3 is Chinese only

And reading the tweets is kinda sad. People thinks anything Chinese is CCP 😔

I hope that they remove online save some day

Historical low: 2,58€ -97% at Steam 10.2.2020

Looks like I missed good price glitch :(

So from Devolver:

Olija (great demo btw) - PC, Switch
Carrion - PC, Switch, Xbox
Fall Guys - PC, PS4
Shadow Warrior 3 - PC
Serious Sam 4 - PC, Stadia
Weird West - PC, console(s?)
Disc Room - PC

Funny to see console players "fighting" over which game will be best on different social media platforms and discussion boards while PC players will simply get everything.

I still can't believe they're putting Serious Sam 4 on Stadia. 🤣

I imagine most of the console "exclusives" are just because the developer didn't have the time or money to go fully multiplatform, so they picked one. But I expect there's a couple of moneyhats there.

Regardless, it's a good look for PC. And it's one of Devolver's finest lineups too.

From what I read a long while ago, the console version of Serious Sam didn't sell well at all, so whatever Google payed Devolver was probably a pretty easy money for Devolver to accept considering the vast majority of sales will come from the PC-version.

Makes sense. I don't know what Google were thinking paying for it.

Not to shit talk Croteam or Serious Sam, but it's definitely a PC series. I don't really see it having any value for any console or cloud service. But I guess good on Devolver and Croteam for convincing Google it was worth something outside of PC. 🤣

Feel like Google kinda don't care where a game will sell the most from as long as long as they get to pay the devs/pub to keep it from other platforms.

For Google they will most likely only lose money om the SS4 timed exclusivity.

While for Devolver it's a win. "Free" money from Google while being able to release the game on PC where the Serious Sam fanbase is.

Tried out Shadow Tactics for the first time (yes a lttp from my backlog entry)

Intriguing at first and something a little bit different (I've never played an RTT before) but it quickly lost me I'm afraid after the first couple of missions because of the increasing scale of the levels and so the stealth required therein; making save scumming seemingly necessary

It's that time of the week, it's time for the weekly top 10 global sellers list.

EcvBnQ9XsAE1nRd.png%3Alarge

Let's see.

1- Sea of Thieves and MCC are JUGGERNAUTS, SoT still having a very active community and MCC getting Halo 3 next week, we finish the fight, fellas! :partyblob:

2- Formula 1 is a very interesting one, I can't remember seeing last year's one so high on any top seller list, however, here we are.

3- Satisfactory is doing really well, it went down 2 places but still selling really well. It's in the same place right now without any sale nor discount.

4- HZD is a very interesting one cause' even tho it just went up one place, keep in mind that this is just PRE-ORDERS and it was in the final stage of the summer sale, this usually means a very strong revenue of money for other games, the fact that it hold there means that it must be doing really well.

5- compared to last week, Titanfall 2 goes out of the global top seller and most of the games go down in places, except for Iceborne which went up by 3 places.

This is last week (June 29-July 5)

Unfortunately, the top seller is revenue based so it doesn't distinguish from AAA to Indie, the more you sell, the higher you are, what you are asking for could be made by a completely different tool (not official but reliable) so if I can find anything like that, I will make such top :D :cat-heart-blob:

That big timer at the top-center of the screen lets you know that you're supposed to be save scumming.

That's how the game was designed to be played and the timer even gets angrier colors the longer you ignore it (green, yellow, red).

I think a tool-tip during the tutorial missions says the same as well.

yup, they REALLY want you to remember to quicksave ALL THE TIME

Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

Maybe steam250 could made such thing? They are focused on games ranking reviews but maybe they would figure out a way to code it. That's being said, assuming they wanted to do it. Wok could give us some details about that.

As a longtime Commandos fan who played SHadow Tactics WAYYYYY far away from its launch window, and having finished Desperados III last month, "Save scumming" is a core mechanic of the game for first-time playthroughs.

Actually, in the first version of Commandos, there wasn't a quicksave feature. You had to play perfectly. Arguably the hardest game I've ever played in my life. They patched in quicksave after the first expansion, but I'll never forget that time where beat Commandos without a save feature, just like I'll remember beating OG AvP without save (that the community had to mod into the game).

Ironically, once you beat the game and want to go back and get all the achievement trophies, if you look at guides (and you'll have to), you'll see that every map "FAIR AND BALANCED" as Faux News likes to say.

DO NOT LOOK UP THE GUIDES DURING FIRST PLAYTHROUGHS BECAUSE THEY ARE MEGA SPOILERS!!!

It will blow your mind how easy even the late-game maps are when you watch the speedrunners win a map in 11 minutes when it took you an hour (and that's not including all the reloads).
That means the game has depth.

Just seems kinda weird these days to see something were save scumming to be encouraged. Odd.

Nevertheless, I've gave it a few hours and my backlog is big enough that if it's not caught me its grips yet that I may drop it

So they are fighting about Fall Guys being better than the other games?

Most of Commandos maps can be completed by putting the whole team around a corner and shooting any soldier on sight.

Been co-oping this with my friend the past weeks. It's more fun as a co-op experience than an actual game because I would rather take hit scanning over whatever the hell kinda shot detection this game uses.

Any one want to take a wild guess as to how well SAO games have sold on PC? The answer may shock you
My guess would be around 15k0 to 200k, it's usually what a big Anime game from Bandai Namco does at release.
