This was my exact experience except I used mods and went god mode for the last bit. I really loved the game (with the turn-based mod), but damn did that last few hours drag.After 100h I finally beat Pathfinder Kingmaker...
I was so desperate to get through the last few zones I changed the difficulty to the lowest level and rushed the main story. Still took 4h to get through them. So much filler and trash mob fights...
I showed my dad Crusader Kings 2 and Factorio today, 2 of the games I regularly play these days.

I bought Meteorfall: Krumit's Tale, despite the game being full price (which is twice its historical low), after I noticed how long I had been playing the demo.

honestly, I'm almost as interested in all the false starts this game's marketing has had as I am in the game itself. seems pretty clear that it's had a troubled development and I doubt this is just down to the new generation of consoles

(You should still give Star Trek TNG a watch though, I highly recommend it. Putting aside the sci-fi bits, the series as a whole is a good lesson on humanity, both past and future)

Yep it's completely FUBAR. Something real wires crossed. People getting images for news items. JSON instead of news. Someone has a screenshot of actual Steam source code being spit out, looks fairly legit.

Some nice PC graphics options from Evenicle 2.
Native resolution is only 1280x720 though. Thankfully it can be integer scaled to 2560x1440 via Lossless Scaling.
EDIT: I don't know that "Display wives while moving" pertains to, but if the wife is cute, then I have no complaints.

So Flight Sim impressions:
Yeah this game is beyond next gen taxing at highest settings. But it really looks incredible a lot of the time.
Checking out my house, it's not as good as Google Earth. Google Earth has a pretty nice quality model, it's auto-gen in Flight Sim. And for some reason our house and every one in our neighborhood has a sun roof. But it's very recognizable. My workplace (the old office I no longer visit) looks pretty decent too, even modelling the near-puddle I had to walk around once. My favorite vacation spot way out in the middle of nowhere is flat pictures in Google Earth, but here the auto gen helps, giving trees and even AI modelling some of the structures. My childhood hometown fares the worst, with a really pretty terrible auto gen impression. Places that are covered in trees are strangely empty. It reminds me of a Battlefield 1942 map. Doesn't really resemble the place at all. Flying NYC with HDR on in the afternoon is just astounding. It looks just like a medium quality video of a real plane flight. And I played Flight Simulator 2, where you barely had a NYC-Star Fox model and it ran at a slideshow.
But I do think it's incredible that Flight Sim is back. I hope they add a lot of gamification over time. A career wouldn't be bad, but of course I'd like a Pilotwings-like challenge mode. 'Fly through the rings during this amazing storm', for example. More than damage modelling or anything else, this is what I'd love.
As it is, it makes me a little interested to learn the ropes to real serious flying, but it's really not too bad to fly at a basic level in most planes.
OH almost forgot, one of the most magical moments was flying into NYC from JFK and another player just shows up (I first can tell by the sound of his engine) and we just do stunts for a while. It really feels like something special when that just randomly happens.

Dang I guess Gabe must have gotten very lucky then seeing how some of these companies are now paying over $40k USD just to get one skin in this game and Gabe has like 6 skins.
Does Sony how have any so far because they are more reserved with their IPs other wise there would have have been some as well?
Actually there aren't any SIE skins even for Fortnite is there?? Weird. The last game that I can think of that did a SIE thing was MHW with Aloy.
Nintendo is even more reserved and well I don't think many ask MS about Halo stuff??
I guess letting people use your IPs can have their benefits.
Also is Bandai the only major Japanese dev/pub that has not done a Valve thing yet? Pretty much all of the other major ones have. SE has done stuff, Capcom has done stuff, as has SEGA, even KT has done something with the Valve in Ni-oh (technically)

Is it perhaps downloading data in the background? What happens when you restart a flight (data should be cached now)?I've found my house.

I expected late September when they mentioned "before October", lol. Nice to have an official date though!
I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
Just started the steam version. It is 1:1 the UWP win10 version. Steam downloads the launcher and that's it.
I think I'm refunding the steam version.
