As someone with 6200 hours on GW2....

I guess they are bleeding players and need fresh blood.
The holy trinity is back for the raid, with a mage class as tank, tank class as DPS, and ranger class as healer.
Cosplayers and artists would never do this to me, and neither would animeGot bored of shitty video games.
Went on Twitter on a whim.
Got spoiled the latest DC comics big release by three motherfuckers one after the other.
Putting 'SPOILER' above a huge spoiling picture doesn't work so great, who would have thought.
So the bad news is, it's one of those days. The good news is that the day is almost over anyway, ah !
Regarding Frogwares & The Sinking City not being on Steam - it might be as simple as this: in their statement, Frogwares says that Bigben/Nacon had the rights to sell/commercialize the game on PS4, Xbox, Steam and EGS. But then Nacon increasingly portrayed The Sinking City as their own game, and maybe they simply refused to give Frogwares control over the Steam page. Frogwares now still had options, to sell it themselves, and on Origin, which wasnt part of the original deal. On Steam, they would've had to make a competing store page, probably not possible/easy, so they had to get the old Nacon-owned store page removed first (probably also not so easy).
This sale thats happening now seems a good sign that theyre working with Valve and that we can probably expect the game on Steam at some point.

Man, I loved my first 80-100 hours of GW2 back on release. Then I got to the high level areas and my god, were they unfinished. Rewards sucked, progression past level cap sucked, and the legendary weapons were such a ridiculous grind that I gave up halfway through. Oh, and one of the GAF guild leaders (Ashodin) stole all the mats I sent him for crafting, they mysteriously kicked me from the guild (claimed they were kicking inactive members lol) after I brought it up, and I just quit.
Loved the jumping puzzles and WvW tho. PvP was OK, but pretty boring. Guardian was the best class.

That sounds like Battletoads isn't seeing the X360 controller GloSC/Steam should be faking.- I tried Battletoads on Game Pass.
Didn't detect my DS4.
- I used Glosc.
It still didn't detect it at first but after that t'was cool.
- Then the controls in the pause menu were for keyboard, and I had to push the LMB to validate the tutorials that said to hit Enter (while I'm using a pad, may I remind you).
- Then I died at the second boss form and respawned in an empty room with no way to advance.
There is definitely a lot to unpack here
Make no mistake, Sinking City WILL BE RELEASED on Steam but I'm sure it's taking longer than expected and now we all understand why, it's a very difficult situation.
However, their intention is to make the game available everywhere they can.

Question was also already answered, but I'd like to add a couple things.
1440p output resolution with DLSS high means that the game is being internally rendered at 1706x960, DLSS medium = 1484x835, DLSS low = 1280x720
Internal render resolution changes with output resolution by the way.
Running the game at 4k output would mean that DLSS high runs at 2560x1440 and DLSS low at 1920x1080 for example.
You are certainly wondering about DLSS low rendering at 720p for 1440p output. Sounds very low, after all.

One is native 1440p, one DLSS high, one DLSS low

3= native without DLSS
While certainly not perfect (and I think DLSS in Death Stranding is doing a better job!) even DLSS low is giving an acceptable IQ. Certainly way above normal 720p to 1440p upscaling

Okay I thought it was a pirate themed version of the game or something and I was wondering how that would work
Bit late to reply, but Diablo 3 has pretty significantly overhauled how they handle that now. You can pretty freely adjust the difficulty (up to a point) and once you complete the campaign once (which can be done easily in under an hour if you don't care about lore, which actually if you DO care you should still skip all the Diablo 3 lore) you have access to adventure mode on your account forever for any character, which is the best mode in any ARPG and the main reason I can't get into Grim Dawn.
I have not tried DDU yet. In the meantime, my belief is that my GPU will have to be replaced. Since my PC specs are old, I think I will simply settle with a cheap one, which will be bottle-necked by the rest of the PC anyway.

Frame-rate should be much better than what I had.
And it is the 8th most sold GPU on Amazon, with the Amazon's Choice seal. Price is ~ 140 €, due to some 30 € discount there, which must boost the sales.
As usual when it comes to hardware, I expect everyone to tell me that I make a huge mistake. Maybe I should wait for Ampere in a week so that prices crash.

Ahhh, memories of that christmas when i got a ZX Spectrum programming book, heh, my face was a treat apparently until my parents gave me the 48k Speccy to go with it. Days and days of dicking about programming and playing the bundles "games". Brings a tear to the eye it does.
Later getting the Usbourne book on Machine Code for the Spectrum. Happy days.
If it's like any old presentation they're unlikely to present mid and low range cards so I'm not sure if it would afect other prices.
From that pic though the RX 580 or the 570 SHOULD be considerably better (and in a similar price range if you're willing to go with AMD).
rx 570/580 would be the way to go in that price area for sure.

Been playing Undermine on Gamepass for the past week or so. Got to the ending in about 20hrs but I still didn't beat it from what I gathered. Missing a few stones and some other new path thing opened. Kind of confusing but still what an incredible gem of a game. Might just be my favorite Gamepass game I played so far. It does slow down a bit with gold grinding but still I loved it. I strongly recommend it to roguelike fans and I see it did pretty well on Steam too with 93% positive.

Online classes sure are something. I need to sign up for this one thing and they say they have 24/7 support. I call them and they basically say that they closed 30 minutes ago..... FFF
Online classes are hard to do well. We learned a few weeks ago that we have to do all of our teaching online for the upcoming semester and it really requires a lot of extra effort.
It's hard enough at the university level, I have no idea how teachers are supposed to meaningfully teach younger kids in such a setting for a prolonged period of time.

I'm in the end of summer typical conundrum. Summer is hot and boring, I start a MMO, generally FF14. Then summer ends, we are back in business and I can't mix MMO and traditional games. But after dropping FF14 3-4 times and having an ungodly amounts of hours in it, dropping it again would break me.
And with Control releasing tomorrow, I kinda want to play Max Payne 2 for the first time and replay Alan Wake.
And everything is moot anyway because I don't even really want to game.

Well, this is weird, remember Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World remake announcement? if you do, then you remember it being announced just for Switch and PS4, however, today Famitsu wrote about it and, while the tweet doesn't mention it, the article mentions Steam.
Looks like the game will be present at Gamescom so, might be a mistake or an early announcement, we will have to wait and see.
