Uh, MC Discord didn’t split and there is no animosity there. If we are talking about the one I think about it’s just me being dumb and suggesting an official Discord where our BlindRhythm Co-op one and other people personal Discord were already more than enough.

I suppose my chart has a readability issue then, the "little split" refers to ERA users coming to this site, the MC discord is just meant to be read as spawn from here

I always liked JaseC's PC performance OT, Mama Robotnik JRPG research threads, and indie games threads from Tizoc/Dusk Golem.
The Kiseki OT was alright, but these days I heard they weren't doing so good because Trails is getting more popular these days.

So... should I sell my 650W PSU now and get a 750W just to make sure it'll be able to power a 3080 or should I wait for benchmarks with the risk of shortages and price increase because everyone will be getting a 750W if it turns out that 650W is not enough?

I'm personally waiting, I have a 650W PSU as well, but it's a 80+ Platinum, so it might (hopefully) be enough? But in general I'll wait for benchmarks to decide which 3080 I should try to get, so I'll wait regarding the PSU as well.
Won the first run I tried with the Shardtail Queen in Monster Train! It was the first time I found Imps to feel useful for me, and also the first time I felt like I could pick up the Consumer of Crowns which was great with 2 of them with multistirke.
As no one pointed me toward a good retro shooter yesterday, I started Serious Sam Second Encounter. And as the thing was strangely presented, it seems I restarted the First Encounter instead.

Serious sam 2 is said to be pretty good tho serious sam encounter games are fine but the hordes and hordea of enemies gets boring after a while :x
Did anyone use the term "quake it"? Meaning when you play something just running jumping and gunning like crazy. Me and my friends used the term when we would break the norm on how to play a game, like COD games and such.
Damn, just how many crash variants does Horizon have/had? And this is their 4th patch.

As a Swede, that discussion was hilarious.
But it's a fantastic port and we should be thankful we are getting it at all! It works on some people's machine after all.
Apparently the reason the Death Stranding port was so good is because it was intended and had a version written for PC from the start, while the HZD port was just kind of a half-assed afterthought. And despite this it still sold like hotcakes after it got announced. Hopefully it sends the message to Sony that people want ports of their games, and not that people want shitty ports.

This but also, as I said in the past, at the vert least we can see that Sony supports and fixes their products at regular basis which is AMAZING news.
I'm very glad it ran as well as it did for me, and I'm glad we got a port, but I'm not gonna deny lots of people had problems, and I had frequent crashes too, as I reported. Mine were fixed by patch 1.03, just when I was about done with the game. Well, better late then never, but still a shame it released in the state it did.
True, its good that they fix their stuff - but, as also has been said, it IS the bare minimum we should expect from a company selling us faulty products: that they fix them. I get it that we all love playing games and give game developers leeway, but in the end it's their responsibility to sell us a product that works. Not ours to find workarounds all the time.
Spelunky 2 got a 9/10 from Edge which is a magazine known for being notoriously critical.
I have 102 hours in Spelunky on Steam + some hours on my Vita. Best roguelike ever made. Can't wait for 2.

r/hardware is a pretty good subreddit for, well, hardware. It generally stays on topic and at least a pretty good ratio of the people posting there have some idea what they are talking about. (Not perfect of course, but much better than other places on the internet)

I really love Spelunky but I mostly played it on 360, where I did the most basic 'finish' of the game. But I didn't get the super secret ending.
I'm terrible at it but Spelunky is one of the best games of all time.

I think it's a pretty revisionist take, at the time it was fine IIRC. Just the curse of early 3d. Ages like solid shit.
On the other hand I have 1:30:00 give or take to know if I want to give money to a bunch of assholes, at the very least (Ion Fury). I'm not the most woke person there is, but their little drama left a sour taste.

What's the context? I mean in 1995 or 1996 the graphics were fantastic. In 1998, there was no comparing something like Unreal to PS1... Although I thought MGS1 was amazingly stylish and still looked great upon release in its way AFTER playing Unreal and Half Life (cough ahem).
