Disco Elysium is insane. Well, it's insane in many ways... But the one I'm referring to now is just how much there is in this game. I'm on day 2, and there is just sooo many things to figure out. My notebook has like 20 things in it. I keep running into new people, and finding new places.

Hades is such a disappointment.
The game is fun to play, but during EA was massively empty on content.
4 environments with 1 boss each that you repeat in the exact same order every run just isn't enough for a roguelike.
And now the 1.0 release is out and it doesn't add anything at all?! Just one new cutscene/forced walking moment where there used to be a "To be continued before..."?

No new environment? No new boss? NOTHING?
You aren't done. You need to clear 10 attempts to reach the Regular Ending, and you have to Give Persephone enough nectar for her to give you a task, complete the task and you'll unlock the true ending. Its a roguelike, You think winning a single run was gonna give you the ending? lol Binding of Isaac makes you beat the game like 30 times.

1.0 was heavily based on narrative content (and they added a shitton of it) but if you want new boss content they added Extreme Measures IV.

why are you asking me? i don't have access to any of that stuff, lol
Well someone has to have access to some kind of forum software control panel and I assumed it was you. I thought maybe there's a way to artificially increase my account post count or something.

Does one need a microphone to play Among Us?
Not at all. I don't think it even has voice chat unless you use discord. There's a chat you can use when someone calls for an emergency meeting or report a dead body.

Makes me remember the first time I finished Isaac many years ago and I thought I was done and the game then showed me how much more stuff I have left.

I've sunk over 180 hours into the game, so the lack of biome diversity clearly hasn't bothered me. Before the very last EA update I was still trying to complete storylines and unlock all the upgrades/abilities, and it was indeed getting stale especially when half the time it was RNG blocking my progress. But the final EA update added a few new enemies and mini-bosses in the early areas which shook things up a bit. Unfortunately, if your main issue is the samey environments then 1.0 didn't fix that. Progression within a run is still on-the-rails, this isn't like Spelunky 2 where there's branching paths. I'm ok with it since most of the fun comes from the moment-to-moment gameplay and uncovering new dialogue.

I'm enjoying Hades immensely. Started over, got to the new ending content, saw credits and now I think there's still a bit more to tie up loose ends. While I definitely get that there isn't that much diversity in the areas, I really love the combat and getting better at it. For me anyway, what it lacks in the variety of distinct environments, it makes up in combat that feels really good and fresh as well as its fun cast of characters and robust 'pre-run' content.

In Into the Breach, there were also only the five environments, but the underlying mechanics were satisfying enough to maintain my interest for a long time, and, like in Hades, much of the variety came from your builds and attempting the extra challenges.

I think an additional area would've made runs a tad on the long side. An optional challenging 'post-run' area with bonus rewards would be cool though. I do wonder what Supergiant will do with this game. The impression I got was that they consider it content complete and don't plan to keep releasing expansions, like others in the genre often do.

One very popular and unfortunately absent character is Heracles. I would love to see them incorporate his myth somehow. Like, have this guy invade your runs as he tries to capture Cerberus or kill Meg, and you need to fend him off at random points. I think that could be a fun mechanic. Various aspects of his myth fit so well into the structure of this game that I am shocked he's not in. If Supergiant would do one content expansion, it just has to be about Heracles :poutblob: And then have this lunatic as the true final boss or something. One of the characters even mentions him at a certain point Such a tease!

Stop with the corporate consolidations please oh my God
Yeah, I can't believe how many people are actually happy about this. Microsoft has never been the good guy, and just because they're doing things like Gamepass and PC releases of console games to make more money now doesn't mean they won't take every opportunity to screw everyone over if an opportunity to make more money presents itself.
