I'm realizing that the problem with $60 games heading to $70 is the trickle down effect. I'm noticing that a niche game like Unto the End that would have released at $15-$20 last year is now $25. It's odd to me that the base price expectation of games appears to be increasing, and the sale discounts are decreasing. With streaming, subscriptions, humble, sales, free EGS, huge backlogs, etc, games are so plentiful and cheap now. It kind of seems like raising the price well outside of impulse buy range is not the right move.
I was between buying Project Wingman, Stirring Abyss, Unto the End, and Amazing Cultivation Sim. But now I'm like, forget the whole thing. I'll play what I've got and wait till we're in the $15 range again, or better yet in a bundle. Where I might have bought 3 of those, I'm now waiting for sales on all of them. I did tighten up my game budget to do other things instead, so at least it's making that easy.

.Also, 3.12 is getting closer for SC and god damn do the volumetric gas clouds look impressive. Dynamicly-lit, self-shadowing, raymarched beauties that you fly through at a fraction of the speed of light, not unlike the first tech demo of Freelancer 2's nebulas.

First, don't buy Star Citizen if you are impatient or want to play a satisfying, polished, finished game. That's an alpha, and it's raw like a steak with the leg still dangling off. It's honestly a very rough experience, even at the best of times and the pleasure in playing it is mostly from the way flight feels, and having an insight into the world and future of what's going to happen. It's about seeing something extraordinary being built, not consuming a finished product, right now. If you plan to buy it to "play" it, I strongly recommend waiting or going for a Free Fly event.
To give you an idea, if you thought those CP77 benches were rough, you haven't experienced being in the 20 fps range in Hurston in-between frametime chugging as you move because you don't have an SSD, then fall through the planet because physics proxies couldn't stream in time as you stepped out of your room. It can be a trip. Those reviews of CP77 saying it's bugged probably are having a relaxing, easy day comparing to the brain-melting experience SC can be.
Seriously, it's rough. Adjust expectations, and don't buy if you feel uncertain about why you buy
.That being said, I think the entry package is something like 45$, +VAT that comes around to 54 dollars for an European, so you'd be right!

I'm guessing that someone messed up some values in the store package or something. Red Dead Online is a standalone, but it's also related to the base game, so Steam probably doesn't flag it as a Steam game, thus the screenshots won't be published. I can still access them from my profile though, just like non-Steam screenshots.
I don't like to say it, but EGS freebies are also a factor here for many people.
We have more games than ever before and more services and ways to get games for cheap than ever before. I'm not sure this is sustainable tbh.

Yeah, more good to great games are releasing every week now than ever before and between all the different sales going on (Steam and elsewhere), game pass, freebies/giveaway in general, humble, subscription services etc. buying multiple games a year for over 60$ seems crazy to me.
