No joke, I wish I was a workaholic.
nah
Don't get me wrong I wish I took my job more seriously than I do (zero motivation hoh!) but I don't want to be one of those high flying exec types either who seem to willingly work every hour of this god forsaken earth
I mean, that man plays everything lol

Just look at his setup, jesus
I have so many questions, but first and foremost why so many machines? There are a number there that are redundant in the face of others in the same setup.
There are 2 SNES, 2 PS4s, 2 PS3s 🤷‍♂️

After many weeks completely dedicated to competitive play (League of Legends), I'm finally back at true gaming, lmao. Already beat Portal 1 today in one sitting. Took me 1,5 hours. Maybe it's been this fast because I may have already done it almost 10 times over the years. Still an amazing game.

Now I decided to boot AC:Odyssey that I never finished after clocking 60 hours months ago. I think I'm 70%ish of my way through the main story, so I decided why not, but... I remembered about the tour mode of these games that I'd never explored. Booted it up. Took these shots:

Now I must see everything. This mode is amazing if you enjoy sitting back and learning history documentary-wise. And it allows this amazing 1st person mode, which makes the game apparently even more good looking. I wish this mode was usable in the main game as well.... For the combat it would probably be subpar, but just toggling it to wander around the world would be a really nice addition imo.

Different regions maybe?

Yeah I agree, that's how I am now, well little too much like that now, but working on it, but the thing is not having a stable foundation in life in such a stress factor that I do think it would do some good with more work addiction. I know the "hustle " is a myth but being drivenly productive is not.

Being a SEGA fan is suffering.
Especially when you compare what they did with their franchises to everyone else.

Shining Force could sell millions every other year and be a mobile powerhouse. But it's not, Fire Emblem took the spot.
They have multiple big racing franchises of different types, and all of them are burried somewhere.
Their legendary RPG franchise Phantasy Star is a glorified lootbox sim...
Virtua Fighter is left to rot in a ditch...
I could think of a thing or two to do with Jet Set Radio, just saying, open world action parkour might or might not be slightly popular right now.

At least they licence some of their franchises like Wonder Boy and Panzer Dragoon now but talk about missed opportunities... they have answers to so many popular tropes with the extra "it's that famous licence that you/your parents played back in the day so get hyped!", but no. Only Yakuza.

Will definetly check Dark Alliance on game pass to see if it's worth a buy. If the game is not worth a buy I won't even continue to play it on game pass. My Steam backlog is too big for me to care about game pass.

It's good for Game Pass in the sense that you can complete the game in a few hours. Including the harder modes.
It's not worth 30 bucks for such a barebones port.
Dark Alliance 2 has much more to offer.

What makes Valve be so adamant into launching hardware and consoles? Were the Steam machines any good? I was too broke back then to even look at the thing.

the game coming to Game Pass is the 2021 reboot of the series, not the port of the 2001 PS2 game

Speaking of controllers, let me go back to the 8bitDo Pro 2 I've bought.

It's recognized as a 360 controller, so I'm not exactly sure how to make use of the additional buttons (the back paddles, and an additional front-facing button).
The controller software lets me map them to other existing buttons (e.g., I can map the paddles as shoulder buttons), which is all fine and dandy, but I wonder if there's a way to map them to other commands (take a screenshot, or whatever), similarly to how it works with the Steam Controller.

Problem is, that if they are not mapped, they don't seem to send any input signal?
You know when you go to controller properties in Windows? This thing here to be clear:

Pressing the paddles doesn't light up anything. 🤔
Have you tried the mode switch? Xinput is basically limited to the 360 spec by design, but switching to dinput might get you the missing buttons as unique buttons rather than clones of existing ones.
