Have you tried the mode switch? Xinput is basically limited to the 360 spec by design, but switching to dinput might get you the missing buttons as unique buttons rather than clones of existing ones.
I see.
I haven't tried dinput on Win, just on Mac (as per 8bitDo instructions), but I think it's kinda related to the pad itself.
If I open the 8bitDo software, the paddles are mapped to "null", and I can only change it to one of the other buttons/dpad/etc.

I'll have to look into it a bit more, but thanks for the suggestion, I had no idea of how xinput worked. I kinda assumed it accepted more buttons by default, thinking of the Elite controller (that I've never tried so I don't really know how it works).

I have so many questions, but first and foremost why so many machines? There are a number there that are redundant in the face of others in the same setup.
There are 2 SNES, 2 PS4s, 2 PS3s 🤷‍♂️
People examined his setup and the SNESs are not plugged-in. Probably just feel great to look at. And multiple PS3 or PS4 for LAN multiplayer.

I wanted to pick up Mass Effect LE since I only played 2 and wanted to play the others but a last minute bill swiped my $$$ oops. Maybe next month I guess lmao. Glad it turned out really good though, Hopefully Bioware can also deliver with the next ME.

He has had a Steam account since 2004, he played Half Life 2 at launch. He even made an article about Half Life 2 and Halo 2. He said that he doesn't really play FPS games but that HEB really like Half Life 2 and that to him to felt like a Nintendo game.

Did you also know that Yoko Taro also has a Steam account as well.

There are a lot of people out there with Steam accounts that may actually surprise you.

Little frustrating in RE8 that enemies you shoot on rooftops, the item dropped gets stuck on the roof.
Yeah, plus I'm still kinda annoyed that I missed one of the fish because I didn't turn right and activated a cutscene which blocked the way back. :disapproval-blob:
Other than that I don't think I have enjoyed Resident Evil game as much since RE4.

Almost all developers have Steam account. Corey Barlog, Neil Druckman, Shue... Hell Shue is really into GPD devices.

I backed Okinawa rush, they're doing final touches to the game and want to do simultaneous multiplat release, which is fine IMO.

I finished Hellpoint. Overally good and I had a very good time exploring stuff, but the final stretch with all the big "main" bosses was thoroughly underwhelming.
They aren't bad in and itself but my magic staff was so OP by this point that it melted them in seconds, I probably didn't even see the entire moveset at times. :negative-blob:
Also the 2 sidequests required for the true ending are extremely, extremely glitchy.

Could you please show your stats and equipment for your magic build? My friend like going magic so this is a good incentive for him to play hellpoint XP

Archon Spear in one hand, Channeler of Hell in the other. Before finding the Archon Spear I was using the Officer Glaive you get at the very beginning. It's good. I installed upgrade chips that change weapon damage scaling to Foresight (magic stat).
There's one boss that is immune against that staff's damage, but I have the Channeler of Light as well which is the same with just a different damage type.
Leech Enhancer as accessory, which increases the energy gain per melee hit massively.

Stat wise I had 15 Health, 15 Stamina, 14 Energy, 11 Load, 6 strength (requirement for the sword), 8 Reflex (requirement for the spear), 3 Cognition (requirement for the space suit you need for space sections) and 20 Foresight. The extra 2 Reflex and Foresight on the image are passive boni from the spear and staff respectively.
Staff and spear are upgraded to +6.

To be clear though, there is no "real" magic in this game, as in different universal spells to learn or something like that. "Spells" are essentially just weapon skills, with every magic weapon having one as the base attack and unlocking 2 more by using it long enough.

Yesterday I transfered all my money on another account in order for the next few bills to fail and have a little hope of eating this month. People are still coming and talking about RE8 like it’s one of the best game of the series, and I get pinged by a vile enabler about Guilty Gear.
I accidentally must have activated hard mode :sweaty-blob:

I should really sell my Switch.

I think eating trumps games. I get the frustration but this seems like one of situations where in the interesting of playing games next month, you may want to keep some cushion :p.

Sure. Although I fear that this is the beginning of the economical crisis for us. Food was pricey before, but now it’s horrible. But yeah, gotta restrain myself from going on another of my tangents.

By the way, I share hardship because it helps a little, but don’t misunderstand, I loved getting pinged by Tizoc :cat-heart-blob:
It was just too good an opportunity to whine a little.

Didn't Snowrunner have a messy development? Wasn't it MudRunner 2 then people had arguments and falling out and it was all a bit messy? Then it was rebranded or rebooted as Snowrunner? I know there was some drama back in 2018 or so.

Maybe they wanted to test the water with a console release and let the old drama die down? Maybe some legal agreement or non-compete clause? Maybe there was money on the table for console and EGS releases? I'm going to guess both Drama and Moneyhats delayed it.

Li Kao You don't have Resto du Coeur where you live? Or similar programs?
I said I didn't want to OT too much, so trying to keep it short... I think so. But not near me and I have no car. And not sure we are eligible as if you just look at income we are not that bad. But yeah, we will have to think about it, indeed.

PS. We are not that bad income wise, because a lot of motherfuckers just take a cursory look at incomes, end of story. Maybe look at what is left after the horde takes its toll. And don't look at the delirious food and tobacco expenses and just say eat less, stop smoking. But what do I know, I'm not a righteous son of a bitch on a white horse.

PSS2. Now, on topic. I should continue Nier Replicant. But goddamn do these fetch quests killed my momentum.

In Nier pretend you are Sonic and roll everywhere. For added speed tap roll and then quick-attack, tap roll and then quick-attack. You'll be zooming around like a maniac in no time.

Equip "Magic Bubble" instead of Block, make sure you tap the little arrow magic (Magic blast?) instead of holding down the button as the first bolt in each barrage is stronger than the others and tapping means you kill stuff quicker.

Man... I'm so temped by Mass Effect.... even though when thinking "logically":

  • It's really expensive over here, so any future sales will be substantial in raw $$
  • I actually was able to exploit/load myself with free gamepass codes so I can play it for free in 6-12 months.
  • There are a lot improvements on ME1, but all the talk about how "smooth" it is now and "gorgeous in 4k" mean very little for PC gamers.
  • While I haven't played the games since the Citadel DLC, I did played them a lot before that... so it would be nice to wait for any interesting mods and tweaks.

And on the other side we have the traditional:
+ I want to play it now!!!! - Been replaying several games lately I'm really in the mood to replay ME.

So yeah.... shouldn't be... but it is a really tough decision :p

Digoman ME: Andromeda is on sale super cheap at the moment i think and i enjoyed it and it scratched my Mass Effect itch pretty well. It's patched up and there's some good QOL mods for it on Nexus.

Oh... I already used Andromeda to do that a long time ago, so unfortunately it's not a solution for now, but thank you for the suggestion. I just have to hold off for a few days because right now reading all the comments it's making it really itchy :p
