Fine, but you can shove that Lutefisk back in the pit it came from, thankyouverymuch.
bruv it's not THAT bad if you combine it with butter and a mix of potato and small bacon
although the best fish around these parts are the wild salmon, we used to have a guy supply them to us and they were just heavingly, combine oven-baked salmon with citric pepper and you've got a treat

Well, I finally finished Cyberpunk. Maybe I'm cynical and tired but I am a lot less impressed by the game now. Technologically and artistically? For sure. But I'm not feeling amazed or transported anymore. The game world doesn't have enough interactivity for me to really feel like I'm in this place, and to be honest that's the same of most games. I quickly grew tired of the modern Deus Ex games for that reason, you only have as many verbs as the designers afforded you. Still, that ending left me feeling as if I'd played a rushed CoD campaign with little in the way of emotions or having anything to say. I think the Arasaka ending is the one that left me most uncomfortable, which at least was something.

More to the point and more's the shame, many of the themes it tackles are just brought up as a checklist and left to your imagination. AI, blackwall, life in orbit, corporation wars, you never do more than dip your toe in the topic before the game draws back and leaves you in Night City to do another gig. Few were the ones that really felt like the game tried to be bold and deliver on the mysteries hinted at by cyberpunk sci-fi, with mayor Jefferson. At any rate, it left me hungry for more, if possible something that went the whole way this time.

Onto the next game! Perhaps Death Stranding, or RDR2.

if you do decide on starting with death stranding, there's one thing almost nobody i've seen mentions at all

use your headphones whenever a song pops up, amazingly themed and great timings on all of them

Dayum, there are indeed quite a few mods for Snowrunner :sweaty-blob:

Do you good fellow confirm than I am better off with a pure audio headset and a mic than with a gaming headset ?
...
Why, no, no relation between the two parts of the post. I’m low energy posting.

Well, ok there is, Snowrunner seem to be better played in multi.

Even without the bugs the game is average as hell. I was disappointed in it, it's so vapid.

I think it's above average in many respects, the thing that really hurts it is the writing. God damn, the writing. I never ever knew where I stood regarding Johnny, and not because their relationship was supposed to be stormy but because he went from passive-aggressive douchebag to best bro from one line to the next. He made no sense tonally and thematically. I think his ending is the only one that had him be even somewhat coherent. His teaching moment was okay and sweet. Overall, I feel this is where the game stumbled most. So much of it is ripped apart on the cutting room floor. The classes, the various systems related to the City being more than environment art, the various quest lines. From a functional perspective, it felt like a lot of TW3's quest design.

I think the one thing that's sticking out to me is that I never felt like the places I was in were special. Due to various lighting glitches and object collision bugs the world never felt like more than window dressing. I hate that because I really found it striking and visually impactful.

I guess I'm grumpy today, that doesn't help and the ending sequences were riddled with glitches.

Edit : guess what I'm trying to say is that this setting, these visuals begged for more.

It just occurred to me that with the CPU upgrade I can finally play Mankind Divided. The game just refused to run on my machine back when I got it on humble bundle. Now that I think about it, I still had my old gpu at the time as well. I should get to it one of these days. I wonder if I will ever find the time...

Man, ME:LE is so damn good.

Dropped like 20 hours into ME1 and I'm only in the opening segments where they cut you loose piloting the Normandy.

I guess it's been like 14 years, but I forgot how rich the lore is. Both in creativity and dissemination. There's just so much info to nerd out on, from culture to politics to technology. It's all so well-thought out.

Really digging the presentation overhaul. Textures are crisp & detailed. Makes the character models so vibrant. Atmospheric flourishes like smoke, steam guizers, particle effects, etc. make the overworld feel alive. Killer lighting to boot.

Combat tweaks feel great. Way more snappy than I remember. I'm sure k/m + 120fps helps for sure, but it def. got a shot in the arm either way.

Of course it doesn't feel like a remake. It is a remaster after all, so it's not gonna be RE2make in ME form. But that's just fine with me. It takes the core of what I remember from a decade ago and cleans it up damn well across the board, visually, mechanically, QoL, etc.

Super happy with the production so far.

Sony's publisher page now says 44 games today (it said 41 yesterday)

i want to point out that "My games" most likely also includes the deluxe versions and DLCs for items

for example atlus, they had 18 things on their my games, which is exactly how much they have of smt3, p4g, deluxe versions, dlcs, etc
we're most likely getting that p5r port too, so this probably just means that unannounced projects dont pop up on my games, considering it has most likely already been tested on steam or whatever

Not sure if someone already posted this but whatever, I only just now found about it. The movement looks so damn good for a random fan game!
The world needs more AOT games since I have no plans on spending anywhere near full price on the Koei Tecmo ones, and they clearly have no plans on doing significant discounts on them.
There's so much potential in the movement system alone, it's gotta be up there with skiing in Tribes or web swinging in Spiderman.

wait no, that's strange

i looked on all of the playstation studios steam titles, bundles and dlc together, and they just make 31 at max
plus, it increased with 3 games on "my games", yet only two new were added

the plot thickens

edit: actually, the atlus count is also wrong, way wrong, dlcs and all together make more than 13, yet only games make less than 13

could it be that steam games that are getting playtested are in fact registered onto companies, and that "my games" doesn't count DLCs? looking more into it

internal data associated with the franchise/page even if hidden will be displayed and yes, it could be games, different skus, DLCs or even OSTs. in the case of some old companies even trailers (no joke as this was how they were counted before some changes)

Happy to see that Snowrunner is coming to game pass on PC and consoles tommorrow along with the Steam and Switch release. Im personally picking it up on Steam like planned, but game pass can give people a check to see if they like the game or not as it's not a game for everyone.

Also, the game is very moddable and will grow larger with the Steam release no doubt and Im not sure if game pass PC wil support mod.io
Interesting there is no cross play between stores, Steam & Epic - wonder if same for XBGP.

About Bioshock Infinite, I really liked the game, now I am not a very smart person. You know that whole Cyberpunk meme where people miss the point of Cyperpunk and stuff? Yeah that's the type of person that I am.

I guess that is part of the reason why people say that "politics" should stay out of video games since they don't see politics in video games and when ever people see anything that they think is political they associate it with "SJW". So if you look at Call of Duty, most people will just see a game where you shoot at another team in multiplayer (because Black Ops 4 proved to use that Activision can make a multiplayer only Call of Duty game and that people will buy it). with one of the teams being some form of US special forces and that's about it. CoD is propaganda for the US military and well yeah. But most people just view it as a game where you shoot at stuff (which in itself is sort of bad for the FPS genre and I guess why we got so little variety over the years since they have all stuck to the same formula instead of trying different stuff, but luckily we did get stuff like Titanfall at some pint and retro FPS indie games). The main thing is that there can already be stuff like politics and real life stuff in video games but most people just really don't notice it.

Now going back to Bioshock the part that I liked what more of an idea of video games themselves rather than the politics stuff. Which to me was the whole "there will always be a lighthouse" and stuff like that since the way that I viewed it, even after I myself have finished the game. some one else will be playing and the story itself will have never really ended since it just keeps going. Now ad for this part I am not sure about but from what I remember at the end of the game there is the part with all those lighthouse and stuff and when you see the player behaving strangely and people jumping around and stuff like a normal person playing a video game would. That's also one of the things that I liked about Bioshock 1 and how in reality even though the player is lead to believe that they have a choice about what they are doing they are really just following a path that have already been designed before hand and that's because they don't have any other choice. Hey do you want to procced further in the game and stuff? Well you got to kill this one character because we are forcing you to kill this character and then basically tell you about how you are doing that because we forced you to (when a QTE sequence happens, what is the player going to do?). So it's these more game design elements (is that what they are called?) that I liked about these games, along with just the design setting that just look so different to everyother game out there that pretty much all look the same, this applies to Japanese games, Western games, indie games and AAA games since a lot of them pretty much look the same, which is why it's pretty cool when one of them just goes for a completely different unique look even though it's using a similar style to other games, like Wind Waker is nice but there are other cell shadded games that look like that compared to say Okami that has such a unique look.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk and yeah I'm not a very bright person (which is why when ever I would read books in English class I always wondered is this really what the author meant? Or is this just some BS to sell their book?)

It depends on what you're trying to achieve ultimately. If you mostly want to use it to play online with friends then a decent headset is usually perfect. But I know you also mentioned streaming a little while ago and it wouldn't be a bad option for some casual streaming either.

Though if you're looking to get more serious about streaming and turn it into a daily thing and/or a job eventually then you'll probably want to go the route of a standalone mic. However that can quickly become more expensive than a higher end headset if you plan to pair it with some good headphones and possibly a dac/amp so make sure you're prepared for that going in.

Hey you ! I know I said good night elsewhere but what can I say, it looks like it's insomnia week

Yeah I have some soul searching to do about what I am exactly looking for here. Apart from buying new toys.
The plan was, hey no hardware available, no upgrade in the horizon, let's freshen up the aging accessories.
It was also, but I don't want to commit because I'm a coward, to maybe try... gasp... talking to people on the Internet. And triple gasp... in English :sweaty-blob:

So yeah, I needed a mic. And my cheapo Sennheiser headset is finicky and only outputs sound in L+R when you play with the jack. So a gaming headset was logical. But the more I read reviews, I should stop that btw but more on that in a minute*, the more I get the feeling you get sorta the worst of both world with those. Not the best headset for audio, not an exciting mic for voice. That's not enticing. And if you want quality they are not cheap at all.
So yeah, ideally I thought, why not buy the two things separately. It would probably add up a little more but I suppose I would definitely gain something quality wise.

Now, let's face it. I have the purchasing power of a... 'insert some joke here, it's 02:30am ffs*
And an obsessive personality that will make me, well obsess over some things in particular for some days, then skip to another entirely. And let's be fucking real, socially anxious wants a mic ? Doesn't compute. There is a chance my attempt at being a socially normal guy fail, after all.

Tonight I saw that the Sennheiser HD 599 looks well regarded in audio, it's elegant in my eyes, not RGBRGBRGB, it's 149 euros.

Couple that with some form of Blue yeti and I think I would have a pretty nice setup.

Am I wrong ? Purely on the hardware quality ?
Now the question of to buy or not to buy, that's another matter.

* I forgot the review part. I came to the conclusion that I don't have the knowledge to assess the merits of reviews and that they seem to be the most nitpicky motherfucker under the sun. Every product has a glaring fault, every one.

You're stealing my old setup! You monster!

Seriously though that's a great pairing. Mine were the old 598's but they were extremely comfortable, sounded great and lasted me a long long time. I recently sent them to a friend since they were shopping around for headphones too and the 598's still worked perfectly.

You can often get a great deal on a Blue Yeti if you get one of their game bundles. They recently had an old PUBG one they had lowered to $90. And on the bright side if you have no interest in the game itself you can gift or sell the key.

And you know I'm always around to chat with you when you get up and running if you want. :blobhug:

For reference, the first gaming headset on the site I browse, the HyperX Cloud Flight, is 120 euros.
I'm pretty certain that barring a huge technical misconception, the Sennheiser will be leagues better. But yeah, no mic.
