Yeah, the thing is I think MCU (and most any comic books stuff honestly) is both juvenile and stupid af.
Or to put it more politely, not for me.
BUT
Firaxis can't just keep doing XCOM over and over, as much as I love the setting and more importantly the mechanics.
They have to mix it up somehow. And if it's superheroes, it's superheroes.
I honestly thought Phantom Doctrine was onto something with the 80s Cold War-era setting, and I'd love to see Firaxis apply the XCOM formula to a more grounded setting like that. But it's just not marketable like those big dumb Hollywood superhero blockbuster movies are I guess.

I sorta agree and sorta disagree.
Of course they can't do XCOM forever, but i think there's been more than rnough time since the last.
I'd say i am as far away from fatigue as one can be.
However, i do like to see them applying the formular to other properties.
Superheroes are definitely are good opportunity to freshen things up, especially as War of the Chosen already allowed some borderline superhero abilities to exist.
Personally, i'd like to see a fantasy take at some point.

SR3 really was ambitious and ahead of its time.
Probably wasn't fair to expect the new one to be on same level of craziness. At least not based on what they showed today. It seemed very safe and boring. Basically similar vibes to other coop shooter games these days. Had a little bit of Watch dogs Legion feel to it too.

Saints Row 3 was amazing. This new Saints Row, not so much. Completely not digging the Fortnite style and South American location. Also Epic exclusive...
Dokev on the other hand looks awesome. I don't know what this game is about but I love the art style. It looks like it would melt even the RTX 3080s. There will be a big graphical downgrade for sure.

BDO(from the same developer) can look amazing, and it's not so demanding, but the pop-in is absurd.
Yeah, this is such a disappointment. I didn't see the trailer, and I don't really even want to from the sound of it. Saints Row 3 was such a blast co-op -- idk if I've ever laughed so hard playiing a game. Oh, well.

Don't they use "World Premiere" too loosely? I thought in the past they used it when they indeed had something actually new to show. Now they use "World Premiere" for every single trailer, even for games that we know exist for years.
From what little i could stand to sit through, the dragon game is scratching a couple different itches (especially as im on a playthrough of both Drakan games at the moment). Nothing else really seems to jump out at me or isnt something weve already seen.

Death's Stranding Directors Cut.... ooofff.... so it's basically "let's add all this silly stuff so you can charge again for it".
Also, kinda of funny after all this time hearing about how the hard traversal is kind of the point of the game - which actually does make the sense of progression and the "multiplayer" way more meaningful - they add something that let you jump off all the cliffs
