Since a lot people bought Deathloop there's a skin you can get if your account is linked to the Bethesda account. You should be able to see it in your Bethesda account transactions if you do it correctly. You can opt out right after get it. It even links you to do so.

I recently got a Corsair Harpoon and am quite liking it - i dont really use it for much other than navigating the desktop though, i use a controller for most gameplay that isnt point and click.

Also had to figure out how to turn off the annoying RGB lights, Ill never understand the appeal of flashy lights in my PC/mouse.

I have the G Pro wired one. It's a pretty nice mouse, maybe the wireless would be better if your into that sort of thing.

Time to clean up Psychonauts 2. I've been pretty diligently getting almost everything as I've gone through the levels anyway, so I don't think I have too much stuff left.

welp just swapped from chrome to brave because for whatever reason chrome was the only browser giving me issues on a couple of shopping websites
I've been braving on mobile for years, it's a pretty good chromium browser on there at least. 🦁

This is really interesting if it ends up happening, not only because miHoyo will be releasing their first game on Steam but because in the long term Genshin will probably end up coming too (yeah, I'm aware of the not 100% commission free per MTX)

Something something :blobyesanime:
I mean, they're on iOS and Android where the game's also have that cut. In fact, I actively go out of my way to make any purchases in the game through Google Play to snag those reward points.

is this actually good
I'm noticing it has very positive on steam and the trailer wasn't...the worst thing ever, but I'm so distrustful after so many low effort anime meme game releases on Steam. Usually they're much cheaper than this, but the trailer isn't convincing enough for me to trust "this is actually good"

Interesting fact from the Epic v Apple trial: Fortnite on PC is one of the lowest revenue platforms for Fortnite. Im gonna go on a limb and say Epic would earn more money by releasing it on Steam. Same thing goes with Rocket League where Steam is one of the highest revenue platforms.

Backbone's reviews are right. The closer to the end, the messier the story, and the more linear, the buggier the game. It is as if someone made a game so that people do not refund before 2 hours, and then it goes down hill.

A few months ago I was looking to replace my G203 that was starting to have the "double click" problem, and honestly I gave up trying to find a similar mouse with better quality. You have to try to find the ones that use switches of certain type (and that also haven't changed after the reviews), that fits your hand, and so on. Couldn't find one where there was a general consensus about the quality.

So... I just end up buying the same mouse again (well, now the Lightsync version). It's cheap enough that if it only lasts a couple of years again I'm fine with it.

To be honest, build quality appears to have gone down a little from my original G203, but again,... it's cheap and I don't use any fancy features. I just run the crappy software once to disable the RGB lighting :p

To be fair on PC the game would have a harder time selling seeing all the competition that it has. While on PS4 (which is were most of Fortnite sales come from) don't have as much competition, sure there is still like Call of Duty and stuff but as far as MTX goes kids would have to rely on their parents to get the money for that stuff and parents aren't going to be buying their kids CoD MTX stuff.

By the way how does Doom run on N/S? Sure it's playable as far as what people have said, but have those people that say that played the game on other platforms or even played the game at all?

Do we know just how many people have purchased those games and stuff? Because I feel like you hear more about people saying "well you see big name AAA title is "playable" on here there for all other big name AAA games should also be playable on here type of stuff.

What does playable mean exactly? I would say Apex Legends is playable on N/S. Is that my preferred way to play? No. But you can if you want and also the textures look like poop.

Are all these AAA games on the device playing at a solid 30fps? Or are there dips and how often?

I was looking at the Sonic Colours thing for N/S and some of the comments and stuff were about games having issues and stuff and how compared to other games that this one should have no issues...... Oh those sweet innocent individuals little do they know about the game other that it having problems.

The whole EGS things was a warning sign and yet people went on...... Basically people played themselves (well I guess this is what's great about modern game consoles, I hope that Nintendo and Sony give them a refund if they have issues with the game..... Oh wait that's right they can't)

I apologize for my outburst but It's just weird seeing that and like I mentioned I makes me wonder if that many people have played those games on the device. DF does videos and stuff and they talk about the good and the bad and mostly about how it's impressive that they were even able to do this at all and yeah it is Impressive but like they said in the cases of some games it's one of those "yes we can do a port, but should we though?" John is really into handhelds from what I remember but I do have a feeling that even for some of those games he would recommend to play them elsewhere.

(It's not Nintendo that's the problem, it's you)

There is a book called The Pearl and I'm reminded of the whole thing about wanting to find out things for yourself and see if what others are saying is just a lie.

Twelve Minutes is much better. When it comes to Backbone, stopping after the free prologue would be frustrating but a good decision.

hopefully LOTR is next as far as total war games are concerned
There's a really good mod for Medieval 2

I remember playing it a bunch, was really cool to have units like Ents and Balrogs, especially because Fanatsy wasn't a thing in Total war at that point.
I would think LOTR seems like the only logical step if they gonna continue with fantasy based games. I can't even think of many other fitting fantasy franchises to be honest, because most either lack military (harry potter) or high fantasy elements (game of thrones)

When it comes to mice, Ive been using a Razer DeathAdder for ages. Well, I think it's my third one. They last a couple of years but eventually the middle click stops working. But I'm so used to them so I stick with them.

I also don't like flashy mice, so I open them up and physically detach the lights ;)

And Razers Synapse app isn't an annoyance on Linux thankfully :)

I have 2 Logitech's G603s. Fine mice. Except that every once in a blue moon the cursor kind of just shoots to one corner of the screen all of a sudden. Maybe it's a reception issue and I'm using it too close to it's effective range or something.

Yeah, Rocket League in fact got their biggest CCU peak the very same moment they left due to "I want it on Steam" purchases, and yeah, Fortnite would do numbers on Steam but they won't because that's not their objective.

So what you're actually saying is that even Fortnite fans don't use EGS? 😁
Yes. They are mainly on console, especially Playstation.

Day one purchase for me, even on the Epic Games store :
Im skeptical to it, as in, I expect something to go wrong with the remaster and I will then rage and be very dissapointed because Alan Wake is one of my favorite games of all time.

I wonder what they will do with Poets of the Fall, if they still have license for them, like my favorite, War.

Probably would not grab it since it's a remaster only. Just completed the game last year for me so its still fresh for me. Wondering if there is any chance there is a free upgrade on Steam though :thinking-face:
It's published by Epic so there likely won't be a Steam version at all.

I'm also hoping for a little more than a graphical facelift. The gameplay aged pretty poorly and is very clunky by today's standards.
Ray tracing and 4K textures are nice bonuses of course.

It's almost certain that it is an EGS exclusive.

Oh alright, Thanks for the info. Then I am definitely not grabbing it since I need to repurchase it

I have lost faith on them after what shit show the Control was on Steam.
That was on 505, but seriously, Remedy doesn't make games for people, they make then for the comporations, the corporations then decides who plays, Alan Wake was a Xbox exclusive for a long time, Quantum Break was a Xbox exclusive, Control had PS exclusive content and was an EGS exclusive.

So my current 10-year old Samsung TV just fritzed out and I'm looking for advice.

In the market for a 43" HDTV and noticed these 3 seem well received.

Sony X85J

SAMSUNG Q60A

TCL 43S435

The feature sets seem relatively comparable with one standout being the Sony is 120Hz, which under normal circumstances would make it a clear winner. But I don't game on TV. Like at all. I value picture quality most atm, but OLED isn't on the table as it will be in a bright natural light room.

The frustrating part is that money is no issue. It's size. It HAS to be 43" to fit in the space and keep the peace with my wife (lol). Which is fine with me, I always thought 65"+ looked kinda gaudy (no shade, btw).

But the problem is that luxury feature sets don't start until you get to 55" models and above. Lots of reviews say that anything less is treated as an afterthought by the major manufactures.

So while I'm willing to drop top dollar for a quality 43" screen, it doesn't seem like there's much choice out there anyway. Prices and features look like they're relegated to the Budget Zone.

Any feedback from TechMC? Do any of the Amazon links above stand out? I'm also open to other ideas if anyone has any.

Thanks, gang.

excited to play it this October on Steam, the PC gaming storefront where it will surely be launching as a free upgrade for all current owners!
Do you know something we don't? It's very likely Epic is publishing the remaster and sequel of Alan Wake, which means they will be permanent EGS exclusives.

Thankfully for me the news about Alan Wake doesn't hit that hard because.......... I never thought that much of the first game (insert audible gasp here). I don't know, several times a Remedy game is something that is technically everything I want but still somehow doesn't click with me. Really sucks for the fans though.

And since I'm already dodging rocks, just finished Bloodstained and it also wasn't my thing - but I can certainly see why it is very well liked.

Now I will go and sit in shame in the corner :disappointed-but-relieved-face:

There is chance for Alan Wake Remaster to be released on Steam, especially if they do free upgrade on Epic Store. It is minor project that won't attract users to the store. But sequel is different story.

Also IP will still be owned by remedy and we don't know exact publishing details from contract (or many other things from Epic Publishing department) so we will see. But I also don't expect Alan Wake 2 to sell that well, especially on Epic Store. Remedy games are not blockbuster sellers.

If you want to find out if your system supports Windows 11, there's an advanced tool that checks much more than the official tool from Microsoft. You can download it here:

My Windows 10 keeps crashing when enabling TPM in the BIOS. According to the tool linked above, this is because my boot SSD is still in MBR mode instead of GPT. I found a guide to change this without wiping the Windows 10 installation, but I'm not sure I can trust this. Anyone tried this?
Yes, when I got the error message, I clicked on the link with the instructions to change it, the issue that I got was that I had to recover the system, so the only thing that I had to do was reboot my PC and voila, I was able to change it. When I launched the program to check if my PC is eligible to run Windows 11, it worked.
