eh? the Japanese are all about their hardcore, niche PC games.

DeepL and Google translate say the sentiment is "It's called King's Bounty 2. It has a "Game of Thrones" atmosphere to it and it's a hardcore game where you can find it difficult if you don't get good at it."

I wonder if any of the VTubers will play it? That will get it some exposure for sure.

Yea, lashman just seems to be the first member and has taken the role of greeting new people and helping to stop the site descending into chaos. He's said numerous times he doesn't own or run the site and has the same power as the rest of us when it comes to technical things.

He's obviously respected by us but he's not "the man behind the scenes" so to speak.
Wish him well and hope everything is going good or improves for him.

So
Do steam owners even get the remastered update for Alan Wake?
Like new users gotta wait a year but previous owners get it or do we gotta wait a year :V

I could see this one actually being a permanent EGS exclusive, as it's part of a 2 game deal that Remedy negotiated with Epic. Probably a lot more money involved than the usual exclusivity deals.

Folks might want to wait until after the Humble reveal today, but just FYI the Shante Half Genie Hero has already had to be restocked once in this bundle and may sell out again. The price is too good for it and Mighty Switch Force, so now I eagerly await to see it appear in the next monthly and I can regret my financial decisions.

Yeah this one I think is permanent, I can't even get mad because if they did fund it and Alan Wake 2 then that was more how I wanted them to enter the store market, by funding games etc...

i still stand by my decision, no more accounts/launchers. On top of that i never pay full price for Remasters where originals were released on PC before. So even if AW Remastered would to come to Steam without discount for previous owners i am not buying it.

Far Cry 3 is FREE @ Ubisoft Connect

If you're unable to claim the game, try redeeming on the launcher.

Edit: Also, Trials Fusion is free on the Japanese store. Stay logged into your own country's store and click here. It's a bit more tricky to claim this one so apologies if you get stuck. You may find help in the comments here.

lashman might be traveling to Wyoming.
This one and ETS have a special place in gaming for me. I just buy all the DLC on release day, no thought given, even though I don't play the games for months on end.
I certainly haven't played either game for a couple DLC releases and no other publisher gets release day DLC purchases without any thought given to it.

It was so be expected that every Epic published game will be lifetime EGS exclusive. Epic already made 14 publishing deals and no doubt a lot more are coming in the next few years.

While I usually don't mind this kind of "2nd party" exclusivity, I still won't buy these games on EGS. I strongly dislike Epic's practices on pc so I won't support them in any way.

Same for me, but it's not even about taking a stand or anything like that.
There are a grand total of 2 story-based games I've ever replayed (Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate), and those are rather exceptional circumstances.

There are just too many great new games releasing and too little time in the day for remasters from my perspective.

Developers keep IP at least so maybe in the future it will be released elsewhere. Another thing is that i don't know how much it will help Epic with Epic Store. Most of their money will come from consoles and that is how epic will be able to reach milestone (get money invested back), but depending on the game i doubt that much money will come from PC sales.

i bet they gave it away for free on EGS specifically so they dont have to offer "upgrade path" for current platform

as for GoG/Steam release , noone knows , Remedy owns the IP , but this is first Epic publishing projects ... so noone knows if there is a way in contract for GoG/Steam rls in future

Remasters are fine, especially when they come to more platforms (like Alan Wake that will come to PlayStation) and if enough is invested in them. For example Mafia 2 Remastered version would be amazing if they went back and added all cut content into the game. But nope they released mixed bag with some upgrades and some downgrades. At least 2K gave it for free to previous owners like they did for all of their Remasters so far (i am really surprised with this). Some of the Remasters i would play even though i finished them already are RDR, Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed games... But again only if they went and added to the experience, either with ultra modern graphics (that would be more like Remake) or new content and upscaled old graphics (better textures, draw distance, LOD...).

As I've written before, Im a huge fan of Alan Wake, have the CE for my X360 and finished the PC and Xbox version together at least 4 times.

However, I am therefore very sensitive to any changes, so Im very skeptical to the remaster. Like, if they change something about the soundtrack, I might not buy it.

I don't want the remaster to ruin the original game for me.

xxr man the responses to your negative review of Killing Floor are utterly disgusting. I'm sorry you had to see that. I've reported them for now, but I swear these cunts are just like cockroaches.
Yeah, it's really sad. I didn't intend to enable comments, but a part of me wants to see these people trip over themselves so I can report them and hopefully see them getting banned.

Hmm, tempted. But, no Massachusetts or Maine. WTF ? I won't be able to roleplay Lovecraft or King :thinking-blob:
They're filling out the map, so I wouldn't be surprised if it takes 7 years before they hit the Northeast:ripblob:

They probably don't want to have to deal with teleporting, but I'd kill for them to skip and give us New England DLC early at a premium price.

I have signed up to Microsoft Rewards two days ago, switched from Google to Bing, and installed their browser add-on.
It has not been too bad. I will keep Firefox though. 🔥🦊
I just use Edge for all Microsoft Rewards related tasks. Firefox is still my main browser. I get basically all Forza games for free this way. Microsoft Rewards is great!

Didn't you replay Ys VIII after that massively handsome dev from that great porting studio salvaged the original PC port?

Microsoft Rewards used to be so good. They changed it a few years back to make it tougher to get stuff out of it. I haven't really looked at it lately, but I'll take a peek.

I think console xboxers get to go achievement hunting to get prizes right? Shame they haven't brought that over :ripblob:
