What motherboard do you have? It'd be REALLY rare for it to come without a heatsink on the M2 slots.
A quick look at a TomsHardware review confirms that the drive will work with PCIe 3 but will be slower, obviously and yes the drive does run hot so you'd need a heatsink on it.
B450 Tomahawk, I... don't recall a heatsink ? Checking the box after this post
Not against buying one anyway, it's not pricey IIRC.

Seems like it really doesn't provide one. I would look into getting one. Should give you lower temperatures and increase the lifetime of the SSD. Mind you, heatsinks are still just passive cooling, don't expect huge reductions.

i mean, time will tell, i'm more on the side of it being likely (we're talking 7 Persona announcements, where none of them are merchandise reveals (based on the broadcast we got this morning), 1 of them is most likely P6, some of them are probs spinoffs, one of them could be some P5R animation, we still got a lot of room left here)

good reminder that the GFN leak missed out on several titles that should have been there, but weren't
some examples to point are Devil May Cry 5, Guilty Gear Strive, Black Mesa, a lot of Arc System Works games, greeaaat chance that some upcoming titles on that list were missing just like these ones
Yeah, not being part of the least doesn't mean it doesn't exists, again, we don't know the criteria behind each entry or each absence so the best we can do is to wait and see.

These games were in the leak.

Devil May Cry 5 was on the complete list.

Strive as well, on two sub-lists actually.

Black Mesa as well.

As for Arc System Works, I don't know which one you have in mind. They appear on two sub-lists.

FWIW, a passive heatsink gave me 30C load temp reduction.

Watching Dune tomorrow. I haven't read the book so no expectation :coffee-blob:
I really enjoyed the first book. After that it was a case of diminishing returns.

Looking forward to seeing the new Dune. But I am also an oddball who loves the first movie that made, even though it is a bit of a mess. And the TV version as well, but never got around to watching the second series they did.

I actually found the book on my bookshelf just now. Going to read it after the viewing tomorrow. I may go back to those old shows afterwards. :cat-heart-blob:

I used to always go for the Samsung S series phones. But got sick of paying over the odds on my contract.

Last time switched over to the One+ 8 and not really noticed anything too different other than considerably less Samsung apps.

So think I will be sticking with One+ for the time being.

I am glad I don't need a new phone. :lul: The ceiling reaches a new high.

I see no reason for getting an Apple phone, especially the new one. The prices are ridiculous. You can get brand new Samsung flagship for less than half of that or even cheaper if you don't mind Chinese brands like Xiaomi. Mid-range phones got extremely good in recent years so I always encourage people to look at $300-$600 phones too.

But I’m most excited for …!

I tried the demo and it looks to have potential!

It can be difficult to parse out low-effort flips in the Mundane Simulator subgenre, so it's always a pleasure to come across those with actual thought & TLC behind them.

Looking forward to more impressions on this one.

If I had to get a new phone, I believe I would got with Xiaomi. I read Archi (from ArchiSteamFarm) recommends this brand, and to replace the OS with LineageOS. I have never done that, and it is a bit intimidating, but that is what I would settle for, in theory. I hope prices of brands other than Apple stay reasonably low.

I'm currently at Wrath of the Righteous third chapter and I just reached a place called
Blackwater and that was an unexpected jump in difficulty. The enemies there are human and demon cyborgs with high AC and regeneration, as the fights were taking quite a time to complete I just dropped the enemies difficult.

People just like the iOS user experience more (me too). And with jailbreak iOS is really really nice to use.

Flagship Samsung for half the price? Pretty sure Samsung flagships are at minimum the same price as Apple phones. Looking up its 1379$ WITH a carrier plan.

Is there any reason to buy the latest high-end phone from any manufacturer? It's not like you are going to use all the features of a phone
Agreed. I mean I'm a technology geek, and even I see absolutely no reason to get a phone that's beyond mid-range in 2021. (The one "high-end" feature I want is 480+ FPS video recording, which is very niche but even that's already available in some rather affordable phones)

A thread

I made it to the main 'meat' of Deathloop. The first few hours were really the tutorial that eases you in on what you'll eventually be doing.
Now to get to doing even MORE exploring and sleuthing around to find the targets and take them out and end this nightmare.

Colt is a lovable doofus~

Funny thing, midrange phones have all the features I want flagships don't have (expandable storage, headphone jack, charging that doesn't lose 95% of energy to heat).

Found the phone thread.

It's funny how people dish out lots of money on ultrawide monitors but spend most of their time staring at tiny ass shitty phone screen even when sitting in front of said monitors. Or in the movies. Makes no sense

I think the reluctance to spend big on phones is that one drop and you're done. I'm not constantly manhandling the monitor or other expensive electronics.

Well people spend far more time in their bed than in their car. Ask them to spend a few thousand* on a mattress and you get ?????? what for?

* those with cheap cars are excused.

Regarding phones, i have same principle as for CPUs, get high end phone/CPU every 4-5 years. I still have Samsung S9 that i bought like month after release and i will change it next year (main reason is that battery started dying).
