Black bars on the sides never bothered me. I've always preferred pillarboxing over stretching when watching 4:3 content on a widescreen monitor. I definitely need to look into it a bit more before making a decision, though. And turns out the model I was looking at wasn't ultrawide but
super ultrawide. Comparing the two, "normal" doesn't look quite as impressive.
Yeah, a dual monitor setup is what I've always wanted. I just figured with something that wide you essentially have all the room you could possibly need on the one screen. As for gaming, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't drooling a little at the propect of replaying Witcher 3 on a 32:9 monitor once the RTX upgrade comes out lol.
