With the fact that World of Final Fnatasy wont be getting a physical Switch release, I'm really tempted to grab it on Steam while it's still on sale. Then the DLC when it comes out on the 6th

DO IT!!! (although keep in mind that even the PC version is locked at 30fps, sadly)

Doesn't really bother me. I grew up buying into gens late and never really having the best, so adapting isn't a problem, my current set-up isn't exactly top of the line either. The game just looks really pretty and I'm down for something a little more light hearted, rather than my last string of JRPGs where everyone dies.

So barring any surprise releases, October Highlight thread is ready, just waiting for Monday :V
November October? ;)

Tell me, Tizoc, how much should my wallet fear your thread?
I have several games pre-ordered already, a couple more I will surely buy, but something tells that, as usual, after checking your thread you're going to make me spend even more money, won't you?

:wd_hot:

Meta steam council

well Tizoc said it should be a general PC thread, not just steam, so ..... nope :p haha

I wonder if anime posting is allowed here

never, never, EVER ... not in a million years ... over my dead body!!! if you REALLY must ... but it IS still MRORANGE's thread by proxy so the thread rules are the same, lol

Anime?

I'm not even sure what's coming out between now and devil may cry 5 :p

for you? probably nothing noteworthy ;)

I thought I was done for this month but then MG did that surprise release of Kara no Shojo on Steam and I ended up re-buying.
All the while I'm pretty deep into Odyssey... deep as in wasting hours and hours getting sidetracked by doing daily and weekly quests, exploring and destroying ships.

I can only get to 60fps here and there, otherwise the game runs between 40 and 56, so I just resorted to play at 30fps (well, 31 since I just make do with the game's frame limiter). Despite playing on a 2500K the game still performs reasonably well for me, except when the frame limiter breaks and I'm suddenly playing at 60fps and I'm reminded how different the game feels at 60 compared to 30.

i have a 4770k and it still only runs at 35-40fps for me like 99% of the time :(
and unfortunately i can't play it at 30 since it makes me nauseous ... wish i could

well, i mean ... technically it should be allowed? i guess?

we'll see what volvo does about this closer to release .... would be interesting, for sure

I expect these to be extremely expensive given that it's K-T, but it's still great to have the opportunity to get some of the best Atelier games on PC.

apparently they're $45 a pop in Japan on the Switch, according to Parsnip ... so i fully expect that to translate into 60€ per game, because Kecmo

Maybe they will do a bundle of these 3 games (like they did a couple of times before), with a discount, to soften the blow a bit.

My main problem with K-T in terms of pricing isn't the actual prices of the games (the games barely sell on Steam, so the high prices make a small bit of sense, in terms of recouping their costs), but the fact that they usually sell so much DLCs that it doubles or triples the price of a game (and sometimes it gets even worse than that).
Did they release any DLCs for these re-releases? If they didn't, and everything is included, I can see myself picking these up.
If there's DLCs on top of the asking prices, I'll have to think twice about it.

actually - their games used to sell relatively well ... as long as they were using volvo's recommended regional pricing ... just ask Chairmanchuck

I remember the day KT launched One Piece 3 and in their greed added a US$10 Australia tax but incompetence won out and they listed it for 69 cents instead of $69. Managed to get 5 before they caught on! Still haven't played the game, it makes no sense to me.

too bad it doesn't really happen anymore ... anywhere

You'd never be able to gift them any more or even stash them in your inventory. :(

I suspect there will be a few anomalies when the Australian Dollar launches next month but I imagine they will all be the wrong way.

€60? You're lowballing 2018 K-T.
€70 with €250 Season Pass.

hahaha, nah .... they do 70€ for $60 games ... so for $45 ones they'll probably do 60€ :P

but yes - every single one of those games will have 250€ worth of DLC ;)

I'll still buy them (without cosmetics, obviously) on launch, especially if we do get the bundle with discount.
I 'have' the Vita versions, but the performance on them is rough.
Will be nice to play them in 144 fps, or portable on Win 2.

Well, looks like Tom answered a doubt I had about how they decide which game, event or sale gets a banner in the front page of Steam, I thought maybe they discussed some titles, maybe the devs/pubs paid for it to be there but looks like it's all about data, I appreciate a lot that they answer this silly questions, tbh, some of you may have known this previously but I didn't know and I thanked him for been so quick with his response.

Yup always been like that. It’s what allows less well known games to get attention and really makes their platform stand apart. A one person dev team gets treated just like Call of Duty something that obviously does not happen on other platforms.

Always had the impression it was a silly question but today I wanted to ask them for once and man, I think that's AWESOME, although I really think they could use that tool more frequently, that would be so dope.

This released today without Namco ever putting a release date on the page. I think this post about it is more attention than it has received from them on Steam.
