fascinating how all over the place the performance reporting seems to be , the DF article make it seems to be its the usual DX12 shader cache issue ... but it doesnt really explain this weid disconnection of people with rtx cards having ceazy issues , but people on much worse card or deck having fine play

Atlus said there’d be an announcement in February. Their social channels have been showing the opening videos of all the Persona games, so I expect they’re related to whatever is being announced.

I will say that Final Fantasy VI is worth every penny. Even with the horrible fonts. It is up there with Chrono Trigger for a place in my top 10 games of all time. I know the music is the orchestrated version and yet nostalgia/an addled brain seems to remember that is how it exactly sounded.
Oh and for those interested, Tetris is the GOAT for me. I played it when it first released on Microcomputers (C64 version). It was the goto game on my GB/GBC/GBA. Tetris Effect is a 99% perfect iteration of it (knocked 1% off for EOS). Although the less said about the Ubisoft era of Tetris the better.
And now I need to choose between Tetris Effect or FFVI.

There are a few weird decisions Squeenix made regarding the whole PR that I disagree with, but at the very least, it made experiencing classic Final Fantasies more accessible in a more cohesive presentation when compared with their earlier attempts.
The fonts issue is pretty much a non-issue these days, especially when you can load up arbitrary fonts with the help of a mod.
