Despite the style being as close as possible to the originals, technically they were all remade from the ground up (though Sonic 1, 2 and CD were remade years ago and now were updated into this collection). Plus all the additional bells and whistles that they're adding, this could have been a collection with nothing negative about it if it wasn't for SEGA doing "shooting themselves in the foot" type of actions (regional pricing, denuvo, ubisoft editions chart, ...).

But I do appreciate how more and more games are just doing the "you know what, put whatever on whoever, however" for character creation because they realized making it modular is just gonna be easier anyway. Despite being a white dude IRL, if I never have to play as a generic white dude again in a game I'd be fine with it. Let people represent themselves, whether their normal body or their fanfic or whatever. I know I enjoy a game more that way, and everyone else should get to, too.

if i remember correctly, you can change on the fly (mostly except shaders like Vulkan and OpenGL), even anti aliasing or interpolation or something

Yuzu (linux mode) was set to 0.5 resolution scale. Once put to 1 it still seems to output 30fps and looks good.
I have never been interested in playing a sonic game before, but that SA price is certainly tempting me
