The only ones I know off the top of my head were Doom Eternal and Doom 64 being available as bethesda Keys and I was looking at them on Cdkeys and they were 1.59$ and 16$ compared to what they usually are so not like a huge deal. That's why I tried out Doom 64 and at the moment it mostly seems like a waste of time since I can't do anything with it Lol

I might be able to eventually but at the moment I just lit 2$'s on fire

What do people think of Atelier Ryza (the first one)?

50% off is actually one of the better KT discounts so I'm considering grabbing it, but I've never played an Atelier game before. My favourite JRPGs are Persona 3/4/5, Final Fantasy VIII & X, Lost Odyssey, and the Pokémon games (particularly Gold/Silver and Diamond/Pearl).

I haven't finished it myself but fans rate it highly due to the simplification of some tedious mechanics and more engaging combat. Story wise it's like the summer arc of a slice of life anime.

It was my first Atelier and it's one of the few games I 100%'d in these past years. Its synthesis mechanic is super fun to exploit, battling is okay, soundtrack and visuals are lovely, and the story, while nothing out of this world, it's pretty solid. I had a blast with it.

Atelier Ryza was great, simple minded jrpg fun without being anything too special right up until the penultimate chapter where the game crashed and i lost around 5 hours of progress because i didn't save religiously.

As much as I don't need to buy any more games right now, Koei Tecmo sales come so rarely and are usually so shit that you kinda have to jump on them whenever you can. Like, I can hold off on Atelier but who knows when Attack on Titan 2 will get delisted and whether it'll actually get another sale before then? And even if it does, it probably won't be any better than the current one lol.

edit: Just for shits and giggles, I looked it up and I got the Berserk musou and Blue Reflection about a year ago and 30 bucks each and they're basically the same price now, give or take a few bucks. So yeah, guess I'll grab AoT2 while I can...

Finally got the last cheevo. What an amazing game.

All I've been playing these past 2 months. And I pretty much played through all the possible build varieties. I gotta say the arcane/pyro/faith build is extremely overpowered and fun to play. Honestly I had fun with just about everything in the game except bow and arrow stuff. I think DS2 is still their only fun bow/dex playthroughs.

Anyways my last cheevo was the frenzy ending and its best one imo. apparently there are several additional endings that aren't tied to achievements. Gonna see them when I return to the game later in the year. Also need to do some pvp because at nearly 160hrs I barely did any pvp. The previous souls games were usually good for 50-100hrs of pvp but this one just didn't throw it in your face like their previous games. Maybe they do more for PVP with dlc and I will return then.

I don't know what to play now. I kind of want to dive into Rogue Legacy 2 but I think I should do another genre for the time being.

I need to find a long and relaxing adventure game to play through this summer.

No Golden Week sale this year? Yet Koei Temco is putting their games on sale? What kinda topsy turvy happenings are happening :dizzy-face:

I was just thinking about picking up the TItan games for this exact reason. I jumped on Berserk last sale for fear they would lose the rights and it would be delisted.

Haha, July 28th again? Are you guys for real?
Probably a no-brainer for those “in the know” but I should mention that this is CLE's port and not NISA's. Therefore, it's missing the original Japanese script and English localisation. And it's most likely will be an inferior port when compared to PH3's previous ports.

I recommend waiting until 2025 or thereafter. Just need to stay alive until then. :flare_lmao:

Going to wait for P3 port, too. CLE's post are apparently very underwhelming, with ridiculous pricing.

There’s japanese audio so that’s enough for me, if the
Spreadsheet overlay stuff works with it i might just buy that and be done, for all the flaws this port might have it’ll take a while before NISA catches up if they ever do.
They need to release at least 2 trails games per year for that.

Their Hajimari port isn’t too bad expect for the tragic loading times. Definitely leagues below PH3 ports but serviceable enough if you’re not willing to wait until next century.

I don't understand why anyone would play JRPGs with machine translation tbh, especially Falcom stuff where "top notch localization" was part of its identity in the west.

That's more or less what they're doing though, isn't it.
Zero, Azure and Reverie are all releasing within a year more or less. Then the Crossbell gap will finally be closed and they can properly close in on the recent releases.

Though they will never ever completely catch up as long as Falcom only lets them start with the localization after the japanese release. As long as that isn't happening, the english release will most likely always be a year or two behind. Just need to adjust expectations accordingly.

April's Persona announcements are merchandise, Persona 5 stage play part 4 and the Persona Super Live 2022 concert on October 8 and 9. You'll get your game news at the concert.
I mean, it was expected, no one should ever expect anything from Atlus anniversaries in terms of announcements.

I don't expect a Persona game announcement at their concert, to be honest.

There is form for game announcements at Super Live, but obviously no guarantee.

Even if they do make an announcement, it’s going to not be what people want.

Persona 6 will be a tease that will upset everyone. More P5 spinoffs on Switch and PC when the original isn’t ported to those systems yet will be another kick in the teeth. Ports and remakes will upset the fans who wanted new games.

I agree that we shouldn’t expect anything from the anniversaries, but given how they’ve dragged this on, they’d better deliver at the end.
