Has anyone played The Quarry yet? I was having some stuttering problems and the audio of the characters was out of sync in one of the cutscenes. I want to give it another chance before refunding but I’m not sure if these issues improve.

I already bypassed the useless 2K launcher and apparently that’s supposed to help.

I think the Wo Long situation is a little similar to what happened with Demon Souls ---> Dark Souls.

Sony has some type of publishing or maybe funding rights to the first 2 Nioh games. So KT and Team NInja just making the same type of game with different name so it can be fully multiplat.

Also FF Origin should be releasing on Steam right around the time Wo Long comes out so that will be awkward. I know Chaos didn't review too well but I still want to eventually play it.

Do you guys think that the P5R steam page will be up soon? Or we'll have to wait up until October? I really wanna wishlist it

I don't remember how it went with Yakuza 7 but Yakuza 3-5 and then 6 (with MS marketing) got their store pages on release days so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what's gonna happen this time too.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game is coming to Steam. I thought for sure it would have been 🥚clusive due to Epic loving to buy up games based on classic movies (Predator, Ghostbusters, Evil Dead, etc).

So what's up with the Terra Nil demo having almost 100k players?
Probably bots for some reason. The forum activity doesn't match the concurrent users and it went from 12k to 95k in the span of 30 minutes which is highly unusual.

Mor I finished the monthly retro challenge :)

Now my rarest achievements are all from Little Big Adventure

So is this Wo Long game like Nioh or something else? Can't really tell from the trailer.
It's made by the same team, has all the same tags on steam, the approach to story is the same as the Nioh games... at this point i'm expecting Nioh 3, but set in China which means different mythology and different combat styles.

this could answer what it actually is

well here's a draft of what i'm gonna do with this laptop

i did a whose line is it anyway flip and i bought the SSD M2 for a reasonable price (500 gigs, good read and write, etc), and if you add the price of that together with the T6 screwdriver that i'll need, i'm left with 132 dollars for me to use this month, as next month i'll get my royalty payments from valve and have a total of 232 dollars aproximately; the usage of these fully depend on when my compadre from North comes to Oslo, either this month or next purely because of this valve payment

as for the laptop, after i upgrade the memory, i'm thinking of making it way more of a powerhouse with a lot more games:
  • after the very promising results of further testing with SMTV emulation (high lod mod, 60 fps easily with some notches here and there + custom ui mods for my controllers, as well as others), i'm seriously considering getting into emulation in a me-friendly way (make them into custom steam games, make them launch directly from steam, have UI that fits whatever controller i use, higher res and quality, so they're not a pain in the ass to play and use), starting with emulation of PS2 for P3 FES and MGS3 (and then others if they come to mind), however, if the possibility exists, i want to also get into PS3 emulation, for MGS HD Collection instead of MGS3 for PS2, but this and the prior point would fully depend if there exists a site these days that doesn't give me PC STDs which can give me these ROMs
  • outside of the emulation realm, i want to naturally download more games on the laptop which i can actually play on it without seeming like a dork, so i'll probably get games like DMC5, MGSV, some of the VR titles and more installed, very pleasant surprise that this laptop preformed better VR than my main PC, probably mod the living shit out of those too so i have more replayability value
  • probably find other things to put on it, 500 gigs is a lot for me, although i am open to suggestions

No until release date, like Yakuza pages last time.

Best case scenario: October
Most likely: two, three months after it releases on WinStore
Worst case scenario: Valve gets sold to EA tomorrow.

Also, I've been trying to go through Yakuza 5 for a while. I'm normally a big fan of the series, but I'm having the hardest time to keep going through it. Part 1 was pretty good, but oh my god part 2. It drags on for so long and the end where Baba reveals that he's the bad guy or whatever was way too melodramatic even by Yakuza standard.
I've read that part 3 wasn't much better, so right now I have no drive to finish it, which kinds of suck to be honest...

No seamless travel between space and planet is kind of disappointing but if they let you do that then it would pretty much be Star Citizen. And if they become as ambitious as SC then that would come with endless dev hell, bugs and shitty early access feel to the game every time you boot it up.

This being a singleplayer bethesda rpg pretty much means it will have similar fast travel options from their previous games. So once you discover a planet you will slowly settle in to using fast travel. That is how its been for me after playing every Bethesda game for 20 or so hours. So cutting seamless travel probably helped them save a lot of dev time knowing most people will be using fast travel anyways over time.

I wouldn't be surprised if modders on PC find some nice middle ground to make everyone upset by this happy. Probably first month of launch some crazy modder does something that will allow high/low atmosphere flying instead of the sequences they showed in the showcase.

Also 200k dialogue lines seems like way too much. Especially with silent protagonist. I think Cyberpunk was only 100k and had voiced main character so wtf lol. I just hope they put in some great companions with their own companion side quest stories like Mass Effect. That is really what I want the most from this game and the reason I love ME games so much.

What the actual fuck is this
'None of the thing people were interested in seeing' is such a bummer

Gotta say, while metroidvania has long been one of my favorite genres, the "souls"-vanias are getting old fast. I like the fast, fluid, tool-increasing, zippy style that metroidvanias have had since SotN-ish and most of these just want to be Dark Souls but 2D. And I get DS games have some pseudo-metroidvania upgrades but it feels a bit disingenuous.

Grime still disappoints me the most recently because it has so much potential but it just really abandons decades of QoL gains in metroidvanias to add tedium that they mistake for challenge, because of Souls influences. But seeing all these demos for basically the same 2D Dark Souls game over and over when I'd be happy to play basically "just another" metroidvania is also annoying. Hollow Knight and Ori are well regarded in the genre for a reason and it's not because of lack of fast travel or checkpoints.

I am curious how well P5R will do on Steam.

Only 2 months after Soul Hackers 2 will probably hurt sales a bit. And it will be near full price too (40-50$).

P3P will do really well I think as it should only be 20$ like P4G.

Also Persona 5 Strikers should get a boost in sales after P5R hits the market. I know I will be much more interested in finally buying it after playing P5R.

Considering how insanely popular P4G was i can see P5R hitting a million or more.

And with P5R hitting Steam the last bastion for PC owners has been conquered. We finally did it guys :dmcblob:

Loved this.
Now it’s time to get Splatterhouse back from PS360 era.
There are so many gems from that era that I'd love to see on PC: Mad World, Shadows of the damned, Lollipop Chainsaw, Condemned 2 and of course Red Dead Redemption 1.

I personally believe that Rockstar lost RDR1 source code completely, because a remaster of that game would sell like hot cakes.
