Great work so far! I'm glad to see the Message Log feature reimplemented because I used it a lot in Geofront Zero/Azure.

One pet peeve of mine is when a VN didn't actually save the progress of the message log in the save game. So when we load up a new save, the message log is cleared out (MAGES-produced VNs like Steins;Gate and Chaos;Child does this).

Thankfully, Geofront's implementation is really good since they stored the progress of the message log alongside the savegame, and I'm sure yours does too! :flare_smirk:

It sounds like the 1.0 release might have been bad or broken? A lot of reviews are saying the previous EA version had more content and better design. It sounds like it went from "mostly translated" to "partially translated" as well so something off. Looks interesting though

We actually thought about this before implementing it and for a while considered to only do it per session because it's easier and probably no one will care :p

(But yeah, it's persistent)

Just bought FF7R on GMG for $39. I'm not a smart man
I payed 45 € and I will only play the DLC, what am I then?
Thanks guys, now I don't feel quite as dumb for biting on the 40$ GMG deal as well. :dizzy-face:That options screen is basic as hell. At least it runs well.

I rationalized the 40 bucks by saying that at least I wouldnt have to pay Sony 20 bucks for Intergrade anyway, which I dont own...

.......

......OK, I still feel like an idiot. I'm going to take a walk and reevaluate my life choices :so-good-blob:

Played a couple hours of FFVIIR and it seems pretty good. Definitely has strong "cinematic AAA game" energy, though. Half of that time was linear walking sections with dialogue and glorified cutscenes playing out. The map design so far gives me the impression it'll open up more later on, at least.

Also runs surprisingly well on my machine considering it's supposed to be a bad port. I expected my 1660 to struggle but my framerate is in the 70s most of the time. Haven't really noticed any stutter so far either. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

Just to give you a heads up it doesn't really open up, it's very linear like the original's midgar (just..30 hours instead of 5 lol). There are a few locations that have towns and paths that can diverge but it's never going to get close to an open world or anything like that.

Oh yeah, no, I didn't expect an open-world or anything like that lol. Just, you know, a little bit of exploration beyond just walking from point A to point B, side-quests, etc. Typical JRPG stuff.

I'm going to mention anime because why not.

But I'm guessing that Act Age will never get turned into an anime. Seeing how right now Spy X Family is popular, it also would have been popular but it got cancelled because of issues with the mangaka and how he really was.

I like Act Age a lot so the mangaka completely ruined my memories with it. Fuck him.

This the game with the school shooting level? If so then they can stay off Steam.

edit: yup

They also recently added a night club shooting level...
On the anniversary day of the night club mass shooting in Orlando :angry-face:

* The article thinks that the game was pulled from Steam. Sadly it was not ...

FF7R trilogy will follow in 13-trilogies footsteps is my best guess.

Linear, semi-open, open hubs.

Just with a less interesting story, and setting, and villian, ...and lore. :p
what

XIII doesn't even have a properly coherent storyline spanning the three games.
And half the cast is annoying as shit.

Gtfo, Tifa is hot as hell.
Truth to power.
Altho i gotta say, the remake's interpretation made Aerith a lot more interesting aswell.

So, for people using GMG. Does the gold status thing reset after a year? On the XP site, it shows me a counter that starts with 365 days, but in the FAQ it says the status is forever. I guess either one of those things is a recent change, but I don't know which one.

Hey Epic how does Fall Guys has rating when it's not out yet?

Or Saint's Row

Tim Epic has developed and mastered artificial clairvoyance, allowing the EGS to know the final rating of any game before it's even out yet.

Though more seriously, maybe they were testing the rating system internally and these are rating "left over" from then. Alternatively, the ratings are complete nonsense and window dressing.

I have been gold status basically ever since they introduced it, even after not buying at GMG for a year. It also currently shows me that I have -12 days of gold remaining.

So to answer your question to the best of my ability: I have absolutely no idea.

I use GMG a lot. I hit Gold immediately when they started the VIP system. I am currently at "-20 days" that's NEGATIVE 20 days. I bought Redout 2 and TMNT using the VIP deal yesterday...

I'm only bronze on GMG, I think I was golden once. Maybe. Could be that I'm thinking some other thing they have had over the years.

The last game I bought there was FF12 Zodiac Age, early 2018.

So, either the counter is just nonsense, if it allows negative numbers, or perhaps at some point it does actually remove the status.
I guess I will see in a year plus change, unless I buy anything else on GMG.

i think they just "upgraded" it to permanent but left the old counter system in place, so it still diplays the date the XP thing should end but since it goes further the counter goes into negative numbers

I really want FF7R, but even at 45 it's uhhh...
I really want TMNT, but even at 18 it's uhhh...

I guess I don't really want Neon White, so there is that. Not that I'm not interested, but some things give more easily than others.
