Atlus has announced a special broadcast to reveal partial results from their annual consumer survey, which was run between May 13th and May 16th.

The broadcast will take place on July 26, 2022 at 20:00 JST (4 AM PDT / 7 AM EDT / Other Time Zones)

This is the first broadcast Atlus has done for survey results.

Atlus emphasises that no new titles will be revealed during this stream.
I hope everyone did the survey to help the Steam results. 🙃

Fiberboard or particleboard is pretty sturdy and relatively light weight for what it is.

I have an old heavy as shit desk, probably solid wood. I often think about replacing at least parts of it. But I also think about "tuning" it a bit. Paint the drawers or something, right now it's just boring light brown. I should also put some cable management stuff there. But I'm also lazy. :grinning-face:

Earlier this week, Unity announced they were merging with mobile ads company ironSource, who are arguably best known for developing a malware installer in 2015. Unsurprisingly, game developers were not pleased. If that wasn't enough, however, Unity CEO John Riccitiello was interviewed by PocketGamer.biz on Wednesday, wherein he called developers who failed to plan monetisation strategies when creating their games were some of the biggest fucking idiots

In that devs should have an idea of how, if at all, they plan to include monetization, he's right (and this is being very generous with the whole quote, not just that line). He's also a fucking idiot for how he chose to phrase that message. He's helped Unity climb to this point, but man I feel the next year or so is going to be hard for Unity.
Clearly Epic should be cutting him a check for all the business he's going to drive to the Unreal Engine over this

Happy to show off a touched up and polished version of the original april fools track present in the video that went viral and inspired me to actually continue this project! On top of that there has been a lot of feature updates and additions, including:

➡ Power ups will now properly roulette before being granted; the player can even hold the button down to 'grind' the roulette and slow it down, meaning they can potentially predict what power up to get if the player has a good memory of the roulette loop and quick reflexes!

➡ The power ups that get added to the roulette is determined by the players position in the race, meaning that the further back they are the more powerful the power ups they could potentially get!

➡ There is now a minimap, which can display off screen power ups activating (like the delayed rope molotov mines!)

➡ Players now have health that can be managed by the blood vial power up. When a racer dies, they drop a recovery bloodstain that can be picked up by any racer! (Reminder that Blood Echoes raise the players top speed, as signified by the red needle)

➡ There is now a proper 'post race' menu that shows the results of the race, and any winnings. Insight will unlock future races and Blood Echoes will be used to buy things like karts!

I was wondering why the Godot subreddit was filled with posts about people abandoning Unity for Godot engine.

We're excited to invite you to a flight for Halo Infinite! During this flight, our goals will be to test Network Campaign Co-Op and Mission Replay at scale and receive player feedback on both experiences.
343 Industries hard at work to turn Halo Unfinished into Halo Infinite within a year after escaperelease.

The main reason I bought Steam Deck for. No joke, I very happy, it was quite hard make it run.
You can fix sun bloom too.

Simpsons: Hit & Run works well too. Steam Deck is perfect.

After a lot of work I've been able to learn how to launch a ROM directly from Steam - without the need to launch the emulator first and then load the rom in this case RetroArch or PCSX2- and make custom games to look cool in deck mode. Once you get it if you're not used to linux routes it's easy cause is always the same but the first hours it's hard to learn.

we're talking steam decks?
too bad, room update

yeah, we're not taking a pic of the room with our phones anymore, that's SOO last 2 weeks, now we just do print screen, something I forgot exists

well, short points on what has been done:
  • changed the flooring to be the exact same type as the one i have at home (directly, texture taken directly from the manufacturer's website)
  • change the material of roof and closet-ish thing to be more close to their real life counterparts
  • added more placeholders, such as computer case, window handle, box, box, and box
  • added a cable to test out how that works (apparently a dedicated cable thing exists in source 2, allows for slacking, radius and all of that, great stuff for my several cables under the desk)
what needs to be done (as well as firstly a recap of what is mostly already done):
  • the general texturing of the room is done, with possible recolourings to the wall in order to be more white than creme colour, in addition to colouring the right stuff the right way, and other than that, only props both indoors and outdoors remain
  • to save money from photogrammetry (as well as sanity because some props are pretty impossible to photogrammetry), i'll instead reuse and retexture assets other people have made on the steam workshops: these include my monitor, realistic boxes, office supplies galore, ps1 slim, vinyl, gameboy advance, rubik's cube, books, and other junk that exists in my room
  • in terms of props that need to be photogrammetried, most of which are orange boxes, those include the shelf inside of the closet, the shelf under the desk, the computer, the box beside the drawer, the whiteboard where i drew garfield on 9 months ago
  • ask around on the source discords on how to fix the curtains as well as other upcoming inevitable problems

Steam ROM Manager as part of EmuDeck does all of this for you. Even if you don’t use EmuDeck, Steam ROM Manager is one of several tools you can use to automate this process.

BoilR is a good option for adding non-Steam games to Steam too. Launching EGS and GOG games (both via Heroic Launcher) on the Deck UI is pretty trivial with this tool.

Bah, no in love with steam rom manager until they add the possibility to select which game to add.
Or something. It has been a month or two since I looked into it.
