Square Enix really just said, "Hey team, you know every game in our pipeline, release them. Release them now."
"People clearly don't want to buy a new game every hour, so we cancel all our plans, sell our studios, and we now produce NFTs"Square Enix really just said, "Hey team, you know every game in our pipeline, release them. Release them now."
That's not on Square though but on Forever Ent., should be similar to Panzer Dragoon remake with ports to other platforms in 6-12 months (or like two months, similarly to House of the Dead remake)The Front Mission remakes look so good, when will you think Square Enix will go with day and date multiplatform releases, 2030? 40?
This does seem like it is in the cards"People clearly don't want to buy a new game every hour, so we cancel all our plans, sell our studios, and we now produce NFTs"
Presentation does look hot..that price thoughPresentation on this looks insane.
Wonder if it's any good mechanically.
Yeah but it's mentioned as coming first to Switch so it's probably confirmed as a timed exclusive. I can wait for it so it's all good for meSo far only announced for Switch:

They better fix some bugs in this release. Game was buggy as heck on WiiU. Also please port the remaster of the best game.
IIRC, other than the 30fps lock, the PC version got an update half a year after release that fixed the worst issues (such as the resolution lock). It's gonna be so fucking funny if that Tales of Symphonia "remaster" is just the busted PC version with no improvements whatsoever.
Except Kingdom Hearts.Square Enix really just said, "Hey team, you know every game in our pipeline, release them. Release them now."
The 30fps is the main thing I remembered, yeah. Last I checked, it was so bad even the mod couldn't fully fix it. That was a while ago, though.IIRC, other than the 30fps lock, the PC version got an update half a year after release that fixed the worst issues (such as the resolution lock).
I wouldn't be surprised if the remaster is based on that.
The fall season really is packed with Squeenix games though, some of them are probably gonna fail.Except Kingdom Hearts.
I imagine the conversation is going like this:
A: "I'd say it's about time to release Kingdom Hearts on Steam."
B: "Nope. All our release slots are full already."
A: "You sure? What about October, there's nothing yet."
B: "October's already full."
A: "But there's nothing planned."
B looks towards another employee.
B: "We still have some of those Switch exclusives lying around, don't we?"
C: "Hm. Triangle Strategy?"
B: "Awesome. Let's release it in October on PC."
B faces A again.
B: "October's already full."
A: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
not the fastest a GaaS title has shut down (anyone remember Amazon's Crucible being launched, quickly unlaunched back into beta, and then shut down altogether a few months later?), but it's definitely one of the more embarrassing and higher-profile failures in that sector in recent years. if we're lucky, this dissuades PlatinumGames from further GaaS development.Potentially one of the biggest flops in recent times.
Please vote for my esports team etc....Not really, variations of this has been around for years.
everyone will tbf
This is crazy. I am interested in a few of these, but not at this release pace. Chill out SE, there is always next year...The fall season really is packed with Squeenix games though, some of them are probably gonna fail.

Plus many of these are full priced games, even though they feel like they should have been 40€/$40 games (and then there's regional pricing). This is crazy. I am interested in a few of these, but not at this release pace. Chill out SE, there is always next year...
Which one ?Given that online multiplayer is Switch only, I guess they can keep that release.
It's becoming a tradition for the seriesAssuming the Judgment thing isn't some kind of error and the series is actually coming to PC, it'll be interesting to see if they actually sorted out the Johnny thing or if they had to change the main dude's likeness.
Now that Johnny , the guy, is dead, I guess the company will start to relax their nonsense.Assuming the Judgment thing isn't some kind of error and the series is actually coming to PC, it'll be interesting to see if they actually sorted out the Johnny thing or if they had to change the main dude's likeness.

I JUST WANTED TO POST THISGood
Hopefully, yeah. Otherwise it would be fucking wild. Protecting your client's image so much you actually get him patched out of the product entirely. Now that Johnny , the guy, is dead, I guess the company will start to relax their nonsense.
God dammit, they already had something in October? The fall season really is packed with Squeenix games though, some of them are probably gonna fail.
