Apparently that driver breaks Cyberpunk map

It's true unfortunately. I spoke a bit too soon in my hype. The map is borked, but the performance gains is real at least.

Some Nvidia-rep in the official thread says they are fast-tracking a hotfix at least. The real question is with all the benchmarking and graphs they put out SPECIFICALLY showing CP2077, how the heck did this bug slip past? :thinking-face:

Maybe Nvidia programmers just turn off the map when playing the game?

Regarding the free DLCs for Gunvolt 3 that I mentioned above, the ones INTI CREATES didn't bother to mention both on the Steam store page, nor their website (nor in their English social media channels, who haven't even mentioned the Steam version is out; don't these people have someone in charge of advertising/promotion?), their Japanese twitter account has some details, and the DLCs will be free until October 27:

I was nearly to buy them before reading your post. The four items (game and DLC) were in my cart xD.
I’m evil-minded and I think inti made this on purpose, with some people who don’t know it and some others that won’t claim, they gonna earn some bucks.

Updated the Steam Mobile App. Cool cool, now where the fuck do I find the QR code to login ?
On the website it should give you the option, next to the login fields.
I am not sure if you can already use it to login to the client, though. Maybe they haven't pushed that one out of the Beta yet? I know the Steam Deck supports it, though, which might have been the primary reason this was developed. Having to type in my long machine generated password when I first got the Deck in April was no fun.

Nope, I must have lost a few brain cells recently but I just don't grasp this thing. Or maybe...
If you are not logged in, the client displays a QR code, and then you scan it with the mobile app to login ?
Ok. I think.

:face-with-head-bandage:

I don't know why but in my mind the machine attempting to log in is the one that must use the camera. I had it totally in reverse.

If 4090 pricing was bad

4080 is looking even worse. (TUF should be cheapest)

Strix is almost 4090 MSRP priced.
But TUF is bit cheaper in this proshop.

None of that makes any sense. The cheapest 4090 models are 1949€, and were actually available for a while yesterday, and unlike previous generations those are very significantly faster than any 4080. Not by a few percentage points, but by 50% in the most GPU-limited scenarios.

Not a lot of hype for this one, that launched yesterday, but it looks fun and season appropriate, plus it earns major points for having a launch trailer soundtracked by Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round (Like a Record). :blobcheer:

Since I earlier mentioned a "season appropriate" point and click adventure game, allow me to mention another, that launched earlier this year.
Nightmare Frames is set in the 80's, and delves into the film industry (more specifically, the "B-movie" genre productions) of the time.
It's well worth a look.

As a nice bonus, the soundtrack and artbook are free DLC.

On a related note, the developer has two very good, free, award winning adventure games available on itch.io, that I highly recommend for fans of the genre:

Isn't that just that you end up on the Steam Guard page directly after logging in? I was also confused by that.
Mine logged in, then got a Push Notification to approve the Login, and then it showed me again the same screens showing the new features before I logged in.

had to disconnect the third fan on my 8-year-old media PC in 12 months. It was the Fan on the back blowing the CPU air out of the case. THAT did have an impact on temperatures (from 33 - 40°C to 40- 55°C on media consumption), I barely felt the front or top fan disconnecting.

I should just buy a 200-300€ tiny media PC. The HDD and first SSD have 45.000 hours runtime.
Well, 50°C isn't that bad, I am not playing on that system.

This is the new game from the Senran Kagura devs. Dolphin Wave

Kind of Kandgawa Jet girls vibes but on mobile game and without Naruko Hanaharu art. I hope it gets steam release if it ever gets western version, since it's on DMM Games PC launcher.

Valve Not Reviewing Previously Banned Steam Apps; Full Metal Daemon Muramasa Explicitly Stated

Following Valve’s reversal regarding their initial censorship ban of the visual novel Chaos;Head Noah, publisher JAST reached out to the company for a chance to hopefully cancel the ban of the visual novel Full Metal Daemon Muramasa. Unfortunately, Valve’s response was simply, “We are not re-reviewing previously banned apps.”

Here's a couple of new titles, out now:

The first is a Japanese indie game I've been following for some time, that mixes block breaker gameplay with a shmup:

Woah, this looks seriously cool.

Also, glad to see you posting again. You are lowkey one of my favorite posters (don't worry everyone else, I do not play favorites, you are all awesome haha) as you list some really cool shmups:cat-heart-blob:

But they just fucking did with Chaos;Head Noah? I get that they don't want to reevaluate all games they've already banned, but what the hell?

Nvidia is just trying to kill AIBs, EVGA knew when to quit it seems.

Yeah lots of releases, I'm waiting for some feedback. Eidolon, Last Oricru too.
Just chomping at the bits to buy Cultic Chapter 1.

Square doing what square do best. Shadow dropping Triangle Story and continuing to ignore TWEWY and Kingdom Hearts even exists on PC.

I am almost impressed with how random they can be.
